Guns and Ships

Mme. Bustier had to step out of class to make more copies of for a quiz the class would be taking. But of course, the printer had to break down, so now, all of the teachers are trying to “fix it” by hitting and kicking it.

Fortunately, that gave the Akuma Class some time to do a little karaoke.

”We should do Comic Book Kind of Love,” Nathaniel suggested, holding Marc’s hand.

“Princess is a Bitch!” Chloé yelled out.

Adrien runs to Marinette’s side and pulls her into a hug, “She is not!”

”... What?”

”What?”

Max chuckled as he adjusted his glasses, “I think the obvious choice is Zeroes and Ones.”

“Spooky Mormon Hell Dream!” Sabrina cheered.

Before things could get ugly, Nino settled everyone down as he stood up in his and Adrien’s desk. “Guys, guys. I got the perfect song. Maestro!” He tossed Max his phone. “My music.”

Max looks at the song Nino has pulled up, and with a grin, he goes to hook up the phone to the projector so the Hamilton logo appears on the screen, making the class go into a frenzy, and when the lyrics appear, it only gets them more excited.

“How does a ragtag volunteer army in need of a shower,” He fans the air.
Somehow defeat a global superpower?
How do we emerge victorious from the quagmire?”
He takes off his cap and waves it around, “Leave the battlefield waving Betsy Ross’ flag higher?
Yo. Turns out we have a secret weapon!”

He shoots Alix two finger guns, and she shoots them right back.

“An immigrant you know and love who’s unafraid to step in!
He’s constantly confusin’, confoundin’ the British henchmen!”
He yells into his cupped hands, “Ev’ryone give it up for America’s favorite fighting Frenchman!”

The class yells out, “Lafayette!”

Alix jumps up on her’s and Myléne’s desk, “I’m takin this horse by the reins makin’
Redcoats redder with bloodstains!” She slides her finger across her neck.

“Lafayette!”

“And I’m never gonna stop until I make ‘em drop and burn ‘em up and scatter their remains, I’m-“

“Lafayette!”

“Watch me engagin’ em! Escapin’ em!” She does a graceful backflip off of the desk and lands perfectly, eliciting more cheers. “Enragin’ em! I’m—“

“Lafayette!”

“I go to France for more funds!”

“Lafayette!”

“I come back with more-“

Everyone joins in, “Guns! And ships! And so the balance shifts!”

Adrien sings Washington’s part, “We rendezvous with Rochambeau, consolidate their gifts!”

Alix wraps an arm around Adrien, “We can end this war at Yorktown, cut them off at sea, but!
For this to succeed, there is someone else we need!”

Adrien nods, “I know.”

“Hamilton!” Everyone sang.

“Sir, he knows what to do in a trench
Ingenuitive and fluent in French, I mean—“

“Hamilton!”

“Sir, you’re gonna have to use him eventually
What’s he gonna do on the bench? I mean-“

“Hamilton!”

“No one has more resilience
Or matches my practical tactical brilliance-“

“Hamilton!”

Alix grabs Adrien by the front of his shirt and pulls him down to her level, “You wanna fight for your land back?!”

“Hamilton!”

Adrien pulls out of her grip and stands on top of his desk, “I need my right hand man back!”

“Hamilton!”

Ah! Uh, get ya right hand man back

“Get your right hand man back!” Kim and Max sang.

“Hamilton!”

Alix points to Adrien, “You know you gotta get ya right hand man back!”

“Your right hand man back!”

“Hamilton!”

”I mean you gotta put some thought into the letter!”

“Ha—ha—Hamilton!”

”But the sooner the better to get your right hand man back!”

“Hamilton, ha—ha—“

“Alexander Hamilton...
Troops are waiting in the field for you...
If you join us right now, together we can turn the tide!
Oh, Alexander Hamilton.
I have soldiers that will yield for you.” Everyone in the class saluted.
”If we manage to get this right
They’ll surrender by early light!
The world will never be the same! Alexander~!”

Just as he, Alix, and Nino sat back in their seats, Mme. Bustier walked in with a stack of papers. “Alright, I finally got the papers printed.” She looks and sees the Hamilton logo on her screen. Students try not to laugh. “I see you all were busy. Now, who’s ready for the quiz on Lafayette?” Everyone in the classroom raised their hand. “That’s what I like to see!”
