It was him

Sadness had surrounded the Saltzman family and the Mikealson teenager since they found out Josie remembered her past two weeks ago. The biggest question on everyone's mind was who took Josette Saltzman? Josie wanted the answer to the question herself. She could see the man in her memory, she could see how tall he stood and the color of his hair but his face was a blur to her. She could never get her memory to give her a clear image.

Josie had been working with Camille trying to see if through hypnosis Josie could get a clearer image of the man but they were not successful. Josie had started giving up she was convinced maybe it was for the best that she didn't remember who took her. Camille, however, assured her that she would remember eventually and until then they would be working on whatever Josie wanted to whether it be her feeling about what happened to her or navigating the emotional reveal of her finding out who she was. Josie appreciated that Camille even tried to make her feel normal by letting her know she could talk about her girlfriend if she wanted or even her baby daddy.

As much as Camille wanted Josie to stay an extra hour to work on expressing herself and not dismissing her feeling Josie had a family event to get to. Everyone was busy running around so Camille offered the girl a ride that way they could keep the conversation going.

When Camille dropped her at the Mikaelson household Josie was surprised to see that the house was empty. Josie made her way upstairs to Hope's room.

"Shit, I'm sorry," Josie said as she covered her eyes. She had not knocked on Hope's door and walked in on Hope changing. They were dating but the girl had not gotten past the makeout session that Freya walked in on.

"It's okay love you can see," Hope said as she walked to close the door behind Josie. "If you're comfortable if not give me a second to get a shirt on."

Josie hesitated at first but uncovered her eyes and focused on Hope. Hope was staring at herself in front of the mirror. Josie openly checked out. Hope was in some boxer briefs and a black lace bra. A combination that Josie had never seen but Josie could not help the warmth she felt in her stomach. Josie got closer to Hope. Her attention shifted from the girl's body to some writing she saw on Hope.

"What's this?" Josie curiously slipped Hope's bra from her ribcage up to reveal what had caught her attention. "Is this my name?" Josie traced her finger over the tattoo.

"Yeah, I got it for my seventeenth birthday." Hope didn't move, she wanted Josie to finish her curious exploration of her tattoo.

"Before we met each other." Josie stopped touching the tattoo and looked up at Hope. "I mean before we knew I was her. I was me." Josie stumbled to get through her explanation. "Why didn't you tell me you had this?"

"I didn't want it to be a big deal love." Hope moved over to sit on her bed. "You have had a lot going on. I wanted to make sure you were okay first before I talked to you about my feelings."

"Hope, that is what Camille is for. That is why we have scheduled sessions to talk about what we feel. I am your girlfriend Hope I want to hear about your feelings. I care about you and what happens to you. Please don't put my needs before yours."

"How about we agree to always talk with the other about what we have going on." Josie gave her girlfriend a nod and walked over to Hope. She was standing between Hope's legs. Josie bent down and planted a soft kiss on Hope's lips.

Hope deepened the kiss. She had other plans besides being sweet and chaste. Hope pulled Josie down. Josie was straddling Hope's thigh. Hope moaned into Josie's mouth when she felt the heat that was radiating from in between Josie's legs. God was Hope grateful Josie was wearing a skirt.

"Where is everyone?" Josie asked when she pulled away.

"Keelin and Freya are meeting at the courthouse, my mom along with your parents are at the Salvatore school, and my uncle and dad are at the company. Why?"

"Because I do not need a Mikaelson walking in on us again." Both girls chuckled softly. This position was definitely worst than the one Freya found them in.

Hope pulled Josie back in. Kissing the girl along her neck, much to Hope's dismay she didn't leave any marks she knew if she did. They were going to receiving questioning looks from their parents. Hope pulled back and smirked when she saw Josie moving her hips softly. Josie was wet there was no doubt in Hope's mind of that. She could feel the wetness on her thigh and it was driving her insane.

"Hope." Josie moaned.

"What is it babygirl?" Hope held onto Josie's hips helping her get more friction as she circled her hips on Hope's thigh. "Keep going love, you're so close. I can hear you."

Hope watched in awe as Josie kept pleasuring herself. Hope wanted Josie to come undone. She was enjoying what she was seeing. Josie moaning her name and having her eyes closed as she was in pleasure drove the Mikaelson girl insane. She would watch Josie pleasure herself on repeat all day if she could.

Josie opened her eyes slightly embarrassed that she had made a mess on Hope. "I'm-" Hope cut her off with a kiss.

"Don't apologize," Hope told her. "That was hot, everything about you is hot."

"I've never." Josie didn't finish her sentence. Hope's wide eyes were enough to let her know Hope got the message. Hope wanted to continue talking but a message came through. Hope checked her phone.

"That was my mom. They will all be at the courthouse in 3o minutes. I should finish getting ready so we can go for the kids and get there at the same time as everyone else."

Josie allowed Hope to get up and change herself. Hope decided on black fitted slacks and a white button-up. She was matching Josie who was in a black skirt and white button-up. Hope told Josie to get closer. Josie stood in front of the mirror with Hope. She smiled as Hope took out her phone and they took multiple photos together.

Everyone took their seat in the courtroom. The Mikealson and Saltzman together. Sitting at the table before the judge were Keelin, Freya, Henry, and Pedro. Josie and Hope were the last to arrive. Hope took a seat next to her parents with Elliot on her lap. Josie handed Emerson to Lizzie and made her way to sit next to Pedro.

Josie placed a kiss on Pedro's head. She offered the couple a smile. They needed this both the Saltzman and Mikaelson families need some happiness in their life with all the chaos that has been going on. They desperately needed the day to playoff without a hit.

Everyone stood up when the judge entered. They sat down when told they could. Josie felt Pedro's anxiety grow as he took a hold of her hand. Josie whispered into the boy's ear letting him know that everything would be okay.

"Hi, Pedro." Judge Aya greeted the nervous child. "How are you doing today?"

"I'm good." Pedro reached over to hold Freya's hand as well.

"Do you want to tell me something before I sign these papers?"

"Keelin and Freya are the nicest parents I've had. I really wanna be their son. You can even ask Josie, right Josie?" The attention shifted to Josie. It was now Josie's turn to be nervous.

"Josie Caroline Forbes?" Josie nodded her head. She knew Judge Aya was reading from the file in front of her. "I see that Freya and Keelin Malraux-Mikaelson only petitioned to adopt Pedro. Do you not want to be adopted?"

Josie glanced back at her family. She looked over to the Mikaelsons and then over at Freya and Keelin. There was a time she would have wanted to be adopted, there was a time she longed for what she now has.

"I don't need to be adopted, your honor." Josie met with Aya's gaze.

"And why is that child?"

"Do you know about Josette Saltzman?"

"I do. She was a missing child who was finally found." Aya explained.

"There was an article that was supposed to go out about her but Freya stopped it. She made sure to scare every publisher into not printing the story." Josie waited for Judge Aya to nod. "I am her. I have a family sitting in this courtroom that loves me. Freya and Keelin were by far the best foster parents I had. Pedro, he's a lucky kid. He deserves his forever home because I got one. I want him to know what it's like not to live in fear."

Nothing else was said. They paid attention to Judge Aya as she signed Pedro's adoption paper. "Alright then, Pedro you are now Pedro Malraux-Mikaelson."

Everyone in the courtroom cheered. The families rushed up to hug together. They took a couple of pictures with judge Aya. Josie linked her hand with Hope when she felt the girl next to her.

The happy families met a the Mikaelson household for a celebration of Pedro's adoption. The kids ran around playing with each other while the teenagers sat down and talked about the plans for graduation that was a few months away. They talked about future plans for the twins' birthday.

When the conversation of her birthday came up Josie felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach. She had not thought much of it. She has shoved that thought to the back of her head. Josie dryly chuckled at the situation.

"You okay Jo?" Lizzie asked her.

"My birthday isn't my birthday." Josie looked empty as she said the words. Josie saw a familiar expression on Lizzie's face. Before the blonde could speak Josie did. "Don't apologize Lizzie this isn't your fault."

Josie excused herself and made her way into the house. Josie kept her stare on the floor she did not want anyone to see that she was about to break down. "Shit I'm sorry," Josie said when she looked up to see who she had run into.

"It quite alright love." Josie froze she knew that voice. That voice, it was buried in the darkest place of her memories. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I have to go pee sorry." Josie ran off to the upstairs bathroom. She closed the door behind her not caring about the slam that followed the door shutting. Everyone was downstairs partying enjoying that Pedro was adopted. She could not make the day about her past she could not take the attention away from Pedro.

Josie could feel her chest tightening, she needed to get herself controlled before she began to sob uncontrollably. Josie looked up when she heard the door.

"I'm s-s-so-sorry." Josie was fighting to speak.

"I got you." Keelin closed the door and sat on the floor with Josie. Before touching she made sure Josie was okay with it. She pulled the girl closer to her. "Breathe for me Josie, in and out." Keelin noticed the wasn't working so she tried a different method really hoping it would her Josie's breathing under control.

"Tell me three things you hear." Keelin listened to Josie's response. "Good, two things you see," Josie answered. "One thing you can smell." After repeating the grounding method two more times in a different subject Josie was finally grounded.

"Thank you." Josie said.

"Of course sweetie. Do you want to talk about it." Keelin could see the hesitance in Josie's eyes. "Josie you can tell me what caused this."

"Today is about Pedro."

"Josie, Pedro loves you like a sister. He would want you to take care of yourself." Josie gave Keelin a nod.

She turned herself to face the older woman. She would be shattering a family. She would be destroying someone she loved dearly. She would be opening up the past once again after wanting to forget it.

"He's here." Josie wiped the tears that rushed down her face. "The man that took me he's here."

"Who?"

"The man I ran into," Josie explained.

"Finn." Keelin mumbled. "You're certain Josie?"

"I wish I wasn't," Josie confessed. "Keelin I'm so sorry." Keelin pulled Josie into her arms. She assured the teenager she had nothing to be sorry for.

"You need to stay here while I take care of this. Go lock yourself up in Hope's room. I'll send your sister and Hope over."
