Summary
Diana let out a startled shout as she was thrown across her apartment by the large redheaded man. All she wanted to do when she got back home was take a long hot bath.(Preferably with bubbles and the new Darkwing bath bombs she had gotten earlier that week)And put on her (LaunchPad’s) Darkwing t-shirt and curl up on her couch with her fluffy blanket and pillows and pass out while she was curled up next to Launchpad while watching their favorite Darkwing episodes. That obviously is not what happened.

Chapter 3

Diane Mallard was not what Bradford had expected. He looked at the cameras of the cell she was being held in. She was feeling along the wall, searching for a weak point.

They had barley had the young woman for two days and she had managed to get loose three times already.

The first time she had gone through the vents, only to jump down and be met by Black Heron and getting a nasty shock.

The second she manipulated a guard into opening the door. She had nearly made it out, only being stopped by Steeljaw grabbing her by her t-shirt and hitting her so hard she was knocked unconscious.

He had to see that guard be dismissed personally.

The third time she played dead.

Not moving from her spot the next day. Staying in place where Steeljaw had placed her for hours.

When another guard.

Penny he believed checked on her.

Ms.Mallard had grabbed Penny’s arm and threw her to the other side of the room and made a break for the door. Penny had quickly gotten back up and hopped on the woman’s back. Begging her to just go back in her cell, not wanting to hurt.

Luckily Phantom Blot had only been in the next room over. He had blasted Mallard from the side and helped Penny take her back to her cell.

Bradford sighed in annoyance as he looked over the information he had managed to scrap up on her.

On the surface she was nothing special outside of being an actress for the majority of her life.

He made note of the adoption papers. The Mallards apparently not being her biological  parents. The lass being adopted young might not know, but even then that wasn’t too strange.

She had been diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age. A history of being bullied by her pears.

But overall a normal young woman.

She clearly was not the brightest bulb, yet when push came to shove she was good at escaping.

Too good. If you asked him.

As he continued to read over her history he found nothing special.

No powers, no real trauma from what he could find, outside of a couple rumors from when she was a child.

But being a child actor. If those where true it sadly wouldn’t surprise him.

Bradford sighed and tossed the papers to the side in annoyance and looked at the cameras again.

Diana Mallard was now sitting in the corner or her cell, clearly annoyed at her situation.

He called Black Heron to deal with her a few moments later.

Diana Mallard was bad at keeping track of time.

What felt like five minutes to her was usually about twenty. And given how she had no windows she honestly didn't know how long she had been in here.

She hoped Goslyn and Launch Pad where okay.

Diana heard her door slide open. She looked and saw an older woman at most in her early to mid forties maybe looking like she stepped right out of the 1950s. She almost didn't notice her prosthetic arm then again given how scattered brained she could be  she almost didn't notice it.

The woman smiled.

"Hello Miss Mallard." She said in a sicking sweet tone.

Yep this lady was defiantly a villain.

Diana hopped up and got in a defensive position.

"Unhand me know fiend!" She tried using her Darkwing voice, hoping to sound intimidating but the woman merely laughed at her.

She walked up to her and Diana tried to step back but her back hit the wall.

"Well don't you have a flair for the dramatics." She said.

"I can always appreciate that." she said happily clasping her hands together.

Diana lowered her fist inconfusionn. "Wait, what?" she said confused.

The woman laughed again and waved her hand vaguely. "Everyone hear is just so, what’s  the word I'm looking for?" She asked herself.

She snapped her fingers as it hit her "In denial, well there are couple that know full well where the bad guys, but some are just so in denial and serious. It gets so boring." She whined.

She smiled and placed a hand on her hip and looked at Diana who was still looking at her very much confused.

"But you darling, you may be a hero but you have flair. I can always appreciate that whenever I see it." She said.

Diana lowered her fist but stayed defensive. "What's your game villain?" She demanded.

Black Heron walked up to her kindly and brushed a stay hair that had fallen in her face. It was a small action but it made Diana hesitate. Her mom used to do that when she was little. It was stupid how something so small could relax her.

Then Diana felt a prick in her arm and then eltricity caused through her body.

She fell to the ground with a thud. She blinked a couple times trying to refocus her vision but she could feel herself losing as she grew tired.

"You really are a villain." She muttered as her vision starting going black.

The woman kneels down and placed her hands in cuffs.

"Trust me darling. I know"

That was the last thing she heard before her world went black.
