T.N. (Late Night)

Going home after work was always peaceful and sometimes soothing for the both of them albeit often at a late hour, but the two would not have it any other way as long as at the end of the day, they would look forward to seeing each other and spend time together.
It was already late when they finished their little trip downtown, wanting to unwind as they finally have a day off together the next day. Techi and Neru were at a bus stop waiting for the last bus to come. While waiting, Neru dozed off and landed her head on Techi's shoulder.
Techi is now a well respected employee in a well known company after going through a rough start in her life. Neru is currently continuing her training to become a photographer while being a model for a couple of brands and magazines.
Techi, already tired from the amount of work she had that day, laid her head on top of Neru's, trying her best to keep herself awake for the bus but was unsuccessful as her eyes drooped a bit. When it did arrived, they barely made it if not for the bus driver honking to wake them up.
Even though the bus was empty at that late hour, they immediately went to the back, with the window on Techi's left side and Neru falling asleep on her right.
While looking outside, watching the streetlights pass by while spacing out a bit, Techi reminisced about her past before looking at Neru sleeping, admiring her beauty and cuteness when sleeping.
Techi felt lucky to meet Neru, have her by her side, as her lover and as her life support. She wouldn’t know where she would be now and couldn’t imagine her life without Neru.
As she thought of all this, Techi got a bit teary eyed before wiping it and held Neru’s hand for the remainder of their ride, squeezing it from time to time as she continued to be lost in her thoughts.
While that happened, they were slowly arriving at their apartment 's closest bus stop. Realizing this, Techi shook her head back to reality and carried Neru instead of waking her up. Neru already woke up when the bus stopped, but pretended to be asleep to enjoy being carried by Techi.
When Techi was putting her arms around her neck, she was already blushing. She stayed in that state until they reached their apartment. When they were now inside, Techi gently laid Neru on their shared bed and removed her coat and shoes before gently laying a blanket on top of her so she would not feel cold.
When Techi tried to go and get ready for bed, she was surprised by Neru suddenly pulling her down by her arm, causing her to lay on top of Neru, luckily her other arm landed beside Neru's head, immediately stopping her from falling on top of her. Neru hugged her by the nape and gave her a sleepy smile, convincing Techi that they should sleep now instead as it was already late.
Techi tried to refuse and get up but wasn't successful with Neru's unknown strength stopping her. After a while of push and pull, she finally gave in and tucked both of themselves under a blanket, ending their tiring yet rewarding day with smiles on their faces, knowing they could sleep in, wake up late and enjoy each other's company the next day.
