Make her laught
Make her laught. Even a sexy artichoke loves someone with a great sense of humor. But remember, don’t be offensive or mean with your humor, because you’ll make her see you as your rival or worst, she might loathe you and we don’t want it, right? Instead, be smart with your humor.
“What kind of humor might have Elphaba?” Galinda muttered to herself as she watched from afar in the cafeteria.
Dinner was almost over. Since the other day that she was giving little hints to Elphaba, Galinda was determined to win her heart no matter what.
Then she saw it: Fiyero approaching Elphaba with that pretentious smile. She suspected that the prince was after her roommate, and the idea of those two dating each other made Galinda feel disgusticified.
As she stood up, she saw those two laughs at eatch other, and Galinda couldn’t help it. She stormed towards Fiyero and, with feigned innocence, she stood behind the green witch and rested her hands on Elphaba’s shoulders.
“Oh, hello you two” Galinda’s smile didn’t reacher her own eyes as she was throwing daggers with her eyes to Fiyero.
She could sense that he was falling for Elphaba too, and she was not going to allow any kind of romance between those two. Elphaba was hers and she would make it crystal clear.
“Galinda! Dear, what a surprise!” Fiyero greeted her with a big smile “We were talking about you”
“Oh really?” Her smile grew wider as she imagined what kind of… accident would happens to the Winkie prince.
“Why yes, of course!” He cherished “Elphaba was… moodified about your strange behaviour. And she was wondering if you-”
“Fiyero. Don’t.” Warned the green witch.
“Why? We can just ask her.” Added the Winkie prince.
“Ask me about what?” Her tone was innocent, but also had a certain calculated coolness.
“Nothing, Miss Galinda.” Said Elphaba abruptly as she stood up and ran away from the cafeteria, leaving those two behind.
After a few seconds, Galinda stared coldly towards Fiyero as he shrugged.
“I know what you are planning, Fiyero.” She declared as a faint smile appeared on her lips. “I’m not a fool you know?”
“Guilty as charged.” He exposes lazily “Elphaba has her... unique charm.”
“I have to agree with you.” She added dreamly as she sighed.
“It seems that I’m not the only one who had fallen for her.” Fiyero said as she looked wickedly to Galinda.
“Why, Fiyero, are you jealous?” She said with mock innocence.
“Not really.” He admitted, then he smiled wickedly to Galinda “I think I’m understanding what’s going on here.”
“What are you talking about?”
“When the times comes, you’ll know darling.”
With a soft laugh, Fiyero stood up and leaves the cafeteria, leaving a stunned and confused Galinda behind.
“I can't believe that, of all the people in Shiz, Fiyero is my only rival.” Galinda whispered to herself as she strolled through Shiz corridors.
It was past curfew, but she didn't have the luxury of seeing Elphaba. Not after that event in the cafeteria.
Galinda paced, fearful that some professor would discover her at that time of night; still, her heart would not leave her at peace.
She was jealous. Remembering how Fiyero had made Elphaba laugh made her chest tighten.
She hated this feeling. She hated that she had fallen deeply and madly in love with that emerald witch.
Letting out a sigh, she leaned her back against one of the cold walls of the hallway. She needed to pull herself together as quickly as possible, or she wouldn't be able to see Elphaba's face without being able to control herself. In this state, she knew, if she saw her, she was going to declare her love for her and even ask her to marry her.
Just as she was about to pull herself together, Galinda felt faint footsteps approaching her. When she saw who it was, she felt her heart skip a beat at the presence of this person.
The moonlight faintly illuminated her roommate's greenish skin, making it glow ethereally. Her eyes, sharp as ever, gave off a glow that Galinda could not decipher, and she was an expert at reading people. Her nightgown, white and neat, contrasted with the darkness of the hallway, making Elphaba look more like a goddess than a witch.
I need to marry this woman right now She thought as she tried to remember how to breathe.
“Miss Galinda, are you all right?” asked Elphaba standing three feet away from her.
No. My heart has been stolen and you are the one to blame. Take responsibility and be my wife!
“I'm very well” She answered almost hesitating ”I was walking the corridors and.... I was... annalizing the walls!”
“Yes, analyzing with your back.” Deadpaned Elphaba “Now seriously. You've been behaving strangely, Miss Galinda. Is there something going on with you?”
Yes. I need to kiss you this very instant.
“No, I feel perfectly fine” She replied with a slight feigned smile.
“You're doing that again.” Pointed the witch.
“What?”
“I know you Galinda.” She began to confront her “You pretend to be fine, but I can tell something is happening to you. Look,” She added as she further closed the distance from her ”I know we're not friends, and I shouldn't be getting into your business, but I'm already noticing that you're behaving differently and it's worrying me.” She admitted then let out a sigh.
Galinda looked at her somewhere between surprised and touched. She didn't know how, but Elphaba was seeing through her facade.
“Elphaba...” Galinda whispered almost inaudibly.
“Just because I see you as a rival doesn't mean I don't care.” Admitted the witch as she glanced to the side and.... Was that a blush?
“So... You care about me, huh?” Galinda smiled playfully as she moved closer to her.
““Yes. It's no fun to confront you when you're not feeling well.” She admitted with some sincerity in her voice.
“So... You don't loathe me?” Galinda asked with some hope.
At that question, Elphaba let out a genuine laugh which made Galinda's skin crawl.
She’ll be the death on me.
“Of course not.” She replied encouragingly as she smiled fondly at her “I have fun when we face each other in class, or even when we're in our room and play pranks on each other. I can say I loathe you, but that's not how I really feel. You could say that...” She thought for a few moments and added “I say those kind of things only to get under your skin.”
Galinda was dumbfounded at Elphaba's words. She couldn't believe she saw her that way, and it made her feel something warm in her chest.
“Was that what you were worried about?” She asked as she looked at her intently.
“Yes.” Galinda blurted out.
“You have nothing to worry about.” Elphaba assured as she turned and headed back to their shared room “Mind you, if you keep showing up back in the library I'm going to worry.” She commented teasingly then let out a light laugh.
“Hey! Just because I'm pretty and popular doesn't mean I have bad grades!” she claimed in amusement as she followed close behind.
Unable to stop smiling, she felt she had already achieved her purpose for today: make her laugh.
