The choices you make in life are the ones that define you as a person.
Bullshit.
You have made awful choices your whole life. Awful, terrible, choices, that you are not very proud of.
But at the end of the day were the only choices you could have taken.
Does that make you a bad person?
Not really.
Because after all, you were limited to what kind of choices you could make. Limited by your surroundings, limited by the time, limited by the situation, limited by every possible factor you could think of.
So, the choices you took weren't' really yours.
They never were your choice.
And in a desperate attempt to feel better with yourself, you made up your mind that your choices didn't define you as a person.
On the other hand, you knew that willingly deciding to hurt others , even the people that once cared about you, for no other apparent reason despite the sake of it.
That kind of behavior did made you a bad person.
And you didn't found a way to excuse that.
You were told for so long how bad you were you started to believing it.
By the end, you were convinced you were a terrible person, so much so that the line between who you are, and who you were told to be started to be blurry.
So it wasn't your choices what defined you as a person.
It was others people's choices.
And sadly they never realize how cruel they made you.
