ripped piece of paper
You carefully ripped a page out of your notebook and started writing.
Writing things that at first glance seemed pointless, and nonsensical, but you wrote something that only you understood.
Then you took the piece of paper on your hands, crumpled it up, and carefully placed it in your jacket's side pocket.
With nothing more than taking one last look at the place you've been seated all day, you walked away.
It had not been more than five minutes since you've had left the place. So, you were still close enough to hear what was going on behind you. Not far from you were seated moments ago, a bunch of screams and explosions started to be heard, police sirens, and the arrival of multiple people was the next sounds that followed it.
Something awful had happened.
Still your gaze straight ahead, you bit your nails as only reaction from the sounds, though you seemed unfazed, something was terribly bothering you.
Then, you proceeded to reached up your pocket, in which you had kept the crumbled piece of paper. You released as small desperate sigh as you held the paper in front of your face.
"I was hoping to be wrong this time," was the only thing you said to yourself in a shrilly voice before ripping the paper apart in little pieces, and throwing to the street.
You started walking once again bumping into a herowho was rushing into the scene to "save the day".
The only remains of the sad true you knew were kept in flying pieces of paper, that began to fly, and mix, with the ashes from the burning buildings nearby.
If someone else had found that strange piece of paper the only thing they could have read were three words, repeated over and over:
Fire, control, sludge.
Written multiple times without meaning, or any type visible pattern, or relation at all.
If someone had found that piece of paper they probably wouldn't understand, but you did.
And didn't like doing it.
The next day it was all over the news that a sludge villain had taken control of a boy named Katsuki Bakugou, whose quirk was some kind of
"fire explosions", as the news reporters described it.
No hero could rescue him, until the arrival of nothing more and nothing less than All Might itself, the number one hero who came to save the day.
But you didn't had to watch the news to know that.

"Honey," your mother gently talked from outside your room giving little knocks on the door, "do you think you can make breakfast for your father and brothers? I have to go to work...an emergency"
Your mother was a nurse, meaning that she was barely home. The same could be said about your father who was an engineer for a very recognizable company.
Due to this, you were the one in charge of the house most of the time.
"Uh-ha," you replied in a half annoyed tone taking the blanket off your body.
The fact that your mom had to ask you to do the things you usually had to do regardless, didn't sit right with you.
It wasn't as if you could have said no to her request, anyways.
You almost instantly went out to the kitchen and started chopping vegetables for the breakfast.
Your mother insisted that the breakfast should be something healthy, because the first food of the day was the most important of them all, ironically, she was never present for breakfast.
You gave hot coffee to your father, who was seated in front of the kitchen table reading the news on his phone.
When he came across the news of the boy who had been controlled by a sludge villain, he looked over at you through his circular glasses, and calmly said:
"Didn't you were there yesterday after school?" You nodded in response still looking at the chopped vegetables, "you knew it was going to happen, didn't you?" You nodded again, but this time you looked up ashamed, "well, I'm glad it wasn't you"
Why did it sounded so terribly bad when your father said it?
Though, you had thought the same thing.
Before the conversation could continue, your brothers came running from their rooms. Your brothers were two little twins with brown curly hair who deeply admired you, but that didn't stopped them from annoying you most of the time. Their quirks had yet to manifest, but you were sure that whatever it was it would cause quite a stir, just as their presence did. They didn't need quirks to make an impression.
"Onēsan, Onēsan!" they sang in unison "do the trick!"
You smiled at them, leaving for a second all the worries that were taunting you that day, and you then began to play with the knife you had in your hands. Spinning it in midair, and catching it before it fell. The little ones eagerly clapped in response.
For that one moment everything felt right, hearing your brothers talk with amazement about your kills, and seeing your father glance at you occasionally as he sipped from the cup of coffee. You almost felt happy.
"And back to the news, schoolboy gets taken control over by as sludge villain" the news reporter loudly announced from the tv across the living room.
Your brothers' attention shifted to the tv, and you almost let the knife hit your head... purposely.
"Did the kid had a fire quirk!?" One of your brothers asked excitedly getting closer to the tv.
"Oh man, I wish to have such a powerful quirk like that" the other one replied
"As you can see this incident had disastrous results for the city and if it wasn't for the arrival of number one hero, All Might, it could have been even worst, police is still trying to..."
I could have done something about it.
"Y/n, are you alright?" Your father tried to get your attention that now seemed completely focused on the tv.
You snapped back to reality to realize you were stabbing the carrot on the table, while smashing a lettuce with your other hand, "Yeah I'm all good" you cleaned your hands in the apron and went back to chopping vegetables.
"The name of the kid is Katsuki Bakugou and he is currently assisting to Aldera Junior High, such an impressive quirk this boy has"
Bakugou ... I remember him
"Sweetie, I'm sure the carrot didn't do anything to you"
