Break an arm and a leg
She woke up in a daze. Ughh what happened Arlene thought groggyly while examining her surroundings. There were dark buildings but when you looked inside they were as black as night all around with dim neon signs and bright lighting that casted a glow over the city and a black sky with no sun or moon but various pole lights illuminating the streets. This…this is limbo no I-it can’t beI have to find a way out. As they was trying to remember the lessons about limbo my memories flooded back too. She looked for a building with a mirror to check if she was okay so she could heal any injuries but they were more surprised at how they looked then any injuries
“M-my wings their… black and my horns but that’s a issue for another day I have to find some bandages for my bleeding head” she said trying to act calm but in reality paranoid. They started searching for bandages and find some in a pharmacy .
“Bandages! Iv never been more thankful for them” she said with a sigh other then when I got in fights . As they finished applying the bandages she heard someone sneak up behind me and knock me to the ground along with immobilizing my feet and hands

As she was looking for a way to get them off of me I started examineing them she had olive skin and her hair was brown with gold streaks. it hanged it loosely in curls and stopped mid back they also had green eyes that looked like emeralds but less shiny and more dull she also had a nice face structure with freckles across the nose. She had a white sleeveless crop top in addition to white lace see through corset with white see through sides. Her bottoms were a short black cuffed denim shorts. she also had on fishnets with holes and high rise buckle boots (the buckles has gray hearts on them too) and black leg warmer on the left and white leg warmer on the right. She also had two black ear cuffs on each of her ears. She looked to be about 28 or 26
“ let them go you can “play” with them later” who she assumed was Alex that said that while making a gesture she couldn’t make out
I looked towards him and He looked to have tan skin with white splotches everywhere. His hair was Medium length and dyed black with grey bangs that covered his eyes. It was tied In a ponytail that layed lazily on the left side of his shoulder. His face had a sharp but round structure. His eyes were a cold shade of grey that almost looked black if you looked at a certain angle and he wore a white lab coat with a brown turtleneck with no sleeves and brown cargo pants and a black belt topped with sandals. He also had a silver watch on his wrist. He looked to be about 30
“Okay” the stranger said plainly. But not before placing a heart on my back and hoping off
I got up and growled at them “who are you? Why are you here?” She asked them menacingly
“I’m Alex and the other lunatic is okumi. Were here to offer you a place for free and as long as you serve us we will accommodate your every need we just need you to sign this contract and the deal is done “ Alex said while pointing at okumi
She eyed them suspiciously while thinking about it this seems suspicious but it’s much better than staying out here and they’ll heal my injuries but this could be a set up and I’ll get hurt even worse but they don’t seem like bad people
“Let me see the contract first,”I said demandingly with a dark face.
They handed the contract over and I looked over it

- You have to participate in a fight at least once a week
- If you become unusable to us we will throw you away
- Once you sign this contract you cannot back out unless you defeat the champion
- You will get paid based on the fight
- You must win the fight on your own
- To win you have to kill,knock out or seriously damage the other opponent
This just raises more red flags wait this sound alike a dog arena but with humans she looked at them it and got ready to summon my weapons
“What if I don’t sign this” Arlene asked with caution
“Aleeex~ look like she’s retailing but I’m up for a fight” okumi said to Alex while giggling
“Then I guess we will have to take you by force but listen I really don’t want to do this I have some pris- fighters to.. take care of so I really don’t want to fight so why not come peacefully ” Alex said in a attempt to negotiate with me while trying to look persuasive
Arlene summoned my energy blade and got in a fighting stance and started aiming it at okumi she’s the most important threat and I’ll get a way of knowing her powers and hopefully Alex’s. Okumi charged at me and attempted to do a right upper hook but I doged out of the way to the right and jumped back a few feet if fighting classes against all things unnatural taught me anything it’s to study the opponent and try to figure out any unusual moves and try to figure out what type of power it is physical,psychological ect and if it’s offensive or defensive
“Try to catch me if you can~ tehe” I said in a mocking voice and smiling at okumi.
“Alex I need my bow It’s time to get serious I asked the higher ups to run a background on her and it turns out someone has powers” okumi said after reaching her hand out and motioning for it to be handed over
Bows.. She must have emitter powers and it must be linked to emotions now at least I have a fighting chance all I have to do is disarm her and cover my mark to have some fun
Alex handed her the bow and arrows. She grabbed the bow and got ready to aim but I threw my blade at her wrist and the bow fell out of her hands. As okumi reached to grab it, i flew forward and accelerated by drawing my wings back and grabbed the bow and flew up a few feet and aimed it at her. I ripped off some more of my blazer and tied it around my neck
“You caught me good job blah blah blah but you still have to fight alex” okumi said in a annoyed voice while smiling at me
“Not if I don’t turn him into dust first buuut I won’t if you surrender” I said pretending to care and acting dramatic
Okumi scoffed “your bluffing it didn’t say that…”
Arlene touched a box of cereals to show them im not bluffing. It turned to dust and okumi looked at me with a scowl on her face and getting ready to jump at my wings
“Okumi that’s enough you can stand down I’ll join the fight after all I’m getting bored watching you guys fight and me not being in it ” Alex said as he hopped off the self and walked towards me
“But-“ okumi attempted to say before getting cut off
Alex glared at her to shut her up because she was getting annoying “do I need to report you to the higher ups for NOT doing your job correctly or would you rather just shut up”
Okumi became quiet as a mouse and walked backwards behind a counter to watch the fight
Alex muttered something under his breath and the whole world became shadows. Arlene heard a voice calling me and tapping me on the shoulder so she turned to look towards the voice and it was the general from my job looking at me like I was Lucifer himself
“Weak you couldn’t protect your friend Hmp.”

She disappeared and Jesus appeared front of her
“Your a failure I shouldn’t have let you into this job”

Tears started to stream down her face as she sat down and pulled her knees to her chest but a few seconds later she saw a light coming towards me. Arlene peeked her head out and saw my comrade died so I hugged her tight since I haven’t seen her in a while but as soon as she did that Arlene felt something prick her neck, she reached up to feel it

The shadow faded away and revealed me to be hugging Alex she immediately let go and stumbled backwards a few steps
“You must have done the shadow and you must be the illusions… and injected the needles” she said in a drowsy voice since the drug was starting to effect
“Yes that’s my power and I’m afraid I would have to do that after all you wouldn’t comply but I did expect you to be a strong willed person and be able to see through the trick I’m a little bit disappointed in you” Alex told me apathetically
Like I give a shit Arlene fell down on bed back but as I started to get up alex appeared in front of me and stepped on my throat and started adding pressure while smiling at me
