Chapter 6
“How could you do this to me?” Tsukasa yells, “Betrayed by my own daughter. How dare you betray the world future star like that! I will curse you to this disgrace of a world for eternity. You shall never reach the land of the gods!” Emu burst into tears; her father no longer loved her. Was it even worth living anymore? Well it’s not like she had a choice, Tsukasa had made her immortal, so there was no going back now. Nene tried her best to comfort her friend, but despite her attempts, she was unable to calm Emu down.
After what seemed like years of crying (because it was years of crying, seventy three years, five months, three weeks and six days, to be exact), they decided that it was time to try to live life to its full potential. By this point Nene was old and wrinkly, like a prune, and being sat down for the vast majority of seventy three years doesn’t do much good for one's ability to walk, Nene remembered the path they took, and was not excited to go back down it with her fragile figure, but it had to be done. Emu on the other hand still looked youthful, and was able to walk and run with ease.
They got down the first bit of the mountain without issues, but the second bit was a problem. “Emu… I am far too weak to continue this journey… you must carry on without me…” Nene’s voice was quiet and hoarse. She fell to her knees, which landed on some really sharp rocks, cutting her legs open, making her die a slow, painful and gruesome death. The tears had started again, but they didn’t just last a measly eighty three years; that would be too little considering how much Nene meant to Emu. They lasted billions of years. “Nene…” Emu’s voice was nearly as weak as her girlfriend's, “You can’t leave me like this…”.
