Chapter 5
“Hi Nene!” I exclaim, flushing bright red. Was it too early to shout? Was she going to think I was too hyper? God she was pretty. She came over and held my hand, causing me to turn even an even brighter red. We walked many miles, occasionally saying something, but overall we were silent. There was no need for words, there was comfort in feeling Nene's hand there for me.
Eventually, we reached a cliff. Tsukasa’s face was red with worry, making me anxious at what he was about to say. “Emu,” he said with a serious tone in his voice, “You must choose: the girl, or me?”
“What do you mean? Why can’t Nene come to Wonderland Sekai?” I was terrified. The girl I just spent the past few hours with and possibly fell in love with was not able to stay with me for the rest of eternity.
“No Emu, only children of me and Rui can visit Wonderland Sekai, let alone live there.”
I felt tears rise towards my eyes, but I had to push them down. “You must pick now Emu, are you coming with me, your father, or Nene, someone you’ve known for a couple of hours.”
“Um…” I panicked. Do I pick the prettiest woman I've ever seen, or do I pick my biological father? “I choose…”
“Nene.”
