Chapter 4
Location: St.Freya Academy

To say Kiana was nervous would be an understatement, because after this test that Hua has made for her she would know exactly how much she knows and doesn't know (in the end, Kiana isn’t nervous because she would do bad, but because she feels that Hua would leave her once she does exceptionally poorly).
“Ready?” Hua asks as she passes the stack of papers
-not really, how long do I have?- Kiana signs, before readying herself for the test
“As I said before, this to test how much you know, as such, take as much time as you need.” Hua said with a surprisingly gentle smile.
‘She has a nice smile,’ Kiana thought with a light flush on her face.
And with that Kiana started on the test Hua had made for her.

That’s how long Kiana needed to finish the test. Kiana learned very quickly just how far back Hua had gone for her test considering how every subject started at the very basics and got harder as the paper progressed.
While Kiana felt insulted to an extent, Hua had proved with the test that she wasn’t taking any chances with any of the subjects, and with that Kiana felt both glad and hopeful as this ment Hua was taking this very seriously and that would mean that Kiana would get help with her studies in a way that will genuinely progress and eventually be able to study on her own with little difficulties.
Another hour passed as Hua was marking Kiana’s papers.
Kiana was nervously playing with the pen she was using to do the test.
Classes have long since ended, with Kiana and Hua being the only ones left in the library and any other students still within campus are those performing extracurricular activities.
Hua let out a hum as she finished marking the papers, snapping Kiana out of her thoughts.
-how bad was it?- Kiana asks
“Better than I expected with how much you struggle in class,” Hua states honestly. “We can have tutoring sessions after classes starting tomorrow. Now come on let's get back to the dorms, you’re probably hungry by now”
Cue Kiana’s stomach rumbling causing the snow haired girl to blush.
Kiana lets out a sigh and signs to Hua -there's probably nothing to eat at the dorms though-
“If that's the case then I'll make something for you to eat,” Hua tells Kiana.
When the duet arrives at the dorm house, they find it strangely empty. While they both know that Himeko won’t be back for another half hour due to work, that however doesn't mean that Mei, Bronya, Theresa and Kaine shouldn’t be missing.
They found a note addressed to Himeko that the missing quattro went out to eat and won't be back for another hour after Himeko is estimated to get back home
Kiana’s Stomach rumbles again just as harshly as it did before causing the girl to blush again.
Hua just gives the snow haired girl an amused smile whilst shaking her head.
“Anything in particular you want to have Kiana?” Hua asks her.
-Anything’s fine really.- Kiana signs whilst trying to get her blushing under control.
Kiana was sitting at the dining room table waiting as patiently as she could for Hua to finish cooking her meal, although saying that she wasn’t feeling a tiny but apparent warm feeling that coats her, as her gaze follows Hua’s movements in the kitchen, a cozy feeling momentarily takes her mind away from the troubles.
Himeko who was by the doorway to the dining room, having come back earlier than expected, was seeing an interesting sight, where Fu Hua was cooking for Kiana and Kiana was waiting patiently for her food, and not only that but the poor girl was seemingly mesmerized by Fu Hua, apparently commiting to memory every little movement Fu Hua makes whilst cooking. It was a surreal yet heart-warming sight to say the least.
Hua having finished her task of cooking for Kiana, and having made some for both herself and Himeko for when she arrives (neither Hua nor Kiana has noticed that Himeko was home as of yet).
“Here” Hua says as she places Kiana’s serving of her homemade dumplings in front of Kiana.
-Thank you, class monitor- Kiana signs to Hua before -Itadakimasu- and starts to dig in.
Himeko who was still by the dining room doorway was surprised by Kiana signing to Fu Hua, and while Himeko understood none of it, it is nice to know that Kiana can communicate with others even without a pen and paper.
“So sugar, do you want to tell me when you learned sign language?” Himeko asks Kiana and at the same time announcing her presence to the duet.
Both Kiana and Hua’s heads snapped up looking towards Himeko, Hua because she hadn't heard Himeko enter the room and Kiana because she wasn’t expecting Himeko back so soon.
Kiana signs to Himeko
“Sorry, sugar I have no clue what you’re trying to say right now” Himeko says apologetically
Kiana looks to Hua for help translating her signage.
“She’s saying to not surprise her like that,” Hua translates for Kiana, ”and that she's known sign language for some time now. In fact I’ve found out yesterday that she knows 19 languages including sign and is in the process of learning a 20th, she also knows Morse code.” Hua finishes with a smile directed at Kiana.
Now, Himeko is flabbergasted.
“And before you ask Himeko-Sensei, I went through the effort of testing her in the languages that I do know to see how accurate what she told me is and have concluded that she isn't lying nor does she have any reason to lie about this.” Hua tells Himeko, which in turn makes Kiana Blush at the compliment.
Himeko simply takes a deep breath and, “I hope you made some for me as well,” she says as she sits down by the dinning table, “we can talk about this after we eat, alright?”

Kiana was late for her tutoring session with Hua
The reason being that Kiana’s bullies found her, normally Kiana would avoid them but today it seems like they knew she was heading to the library and blocked all the paths to the library, and now are trying (and failing, mind you) to beat her into submission.
Kiana should've seen this coming, not everyone sees her in a good light evidently by the bet. But to think less than a week in at the challenge, she'd get ganged on by 5 arrogant Valkyries wannabe is eyebrow raising worthy. While it wouldn't be hard for Kiana to either kick their ass or lose them normally, the backpack full of notebooks will certainly get in the way and Kiana can't really just leave them behind. So now Kiana can't run, can't fight back because no violence policy, so the only viable option for her would be to dodge, block, and hopefully not get punched too hard once a strike slips.
While she has dealt with similar situations before and came out of it unscathed, mostly due to her not having a time limit to adhere to, this time was different, this time she was heading to the Library for her tutoring session with Hua, and because of these imbeciles she's 40 minutes late.
There’s also the fact that while they couldn’t touch her even if they wanted to, some of the insults they are throwing at her are hitting closer to home than she likes and are affecting her no matter how minuscule it may seem.
“And pray tell, what is going on here!?”
