Chapter 3
Tsukasa turned around, a big sign of hesitation forming in his face as he opened the door.
"There you are. Let's begin, shall we, 001?"
Tsukasa stayed in place, this being noticed by Es.
"Get closer, Tenma. I'm just this prison's warden."
"What do you plan on doing to us, Warden."
Es shook her head.
"I ask the questions here, 001. Get over here."
Tsukasa had no other option but to get closer to Es, noticing how similar she looked to-
"Milgram exists to reveal the sins of its prisoners, and to hand down proper judgment depending on whether it can be deemed forgivable or not."
"You can lie or stay silent if you wish to do so, I don't exactly care. I'll be judging your sin with the song produced by Milgram directly from your memories."
Es explained, reminding Tsukasa of how Miku and KAITO explained Sekai.
"So, let's have a little chat, 001."
"I see… Well then, let's begin!"
Es was starting to get a headache already.
She sighs, finding the first prisoner absolutely annoying.
"Rest assured, I won't be using violence in this interrogation. Am I clear?"
"Yes, Shiho, you're clear."
Tsukasa didn't seem to have noticed what he called Es.
"'Shiho'? Is that… The person you killed?"
Es asked, not thinking she'd get a name out of a prisoner that quickly.
Tsukasa was hit with the realization, slapping his own face to get it together.
"What… Are you doing, 001?"
"Oh. Nothing, uh… I don't think I've ever even killed anyone, Shi… Warden. I was referring to my little sister's childhood friend."
Es let out a small "huh."
"I see, tell me more about this sister of yours."
"Oh, Saki is the best sister someone could ask for! I've decided to become the star for her, you see."
"...Saki huh….?"
Es felt like maybe she knew someone like what Tsukasa described.
"However… She was pretty sick throughout our childhood, so she was in the hospital most of the time. But! She had me, and our friend Toya!"
"Alright… What about that troupe you're in?"
Tsukasa's relaxed expression turned quickly into nervousness.
"Oh… That… I…"
"Bingo." Es thought, clearly having hit Jackpot with the theater troupe.
But suddenly, Tsukasa recomposed himself, going back to how he was before.
"We do the best shows in Phoenix Wonderland! Ask Rui, even though our stage isn't the newest, I can guarantee you a star like me would only go for the best!!"
Tsukasa jumped when he heard the loud bell, signaling that his interrogation was over.
"What's that?!"
"Is it time already? Damn…
"Prisoner 001, Tsukasa,
Come now, sing your sins!"
