Together again
Molly watched as everyone tried to calm the out of control Pokemon, she didn't understand what was happening but she knew it was not good. Her friends were hurting themselves and they had to stop them but, how to stop them without hurting them more. She wanted to cry, this was not what she wanted, she just wanted her Mama and Papa back with her that's all. If she had known this would happen she would not have made her wish, she felt her mama hug her.
Molly looked up, "Mama, this doesn't look good."
Ash smiled, "No, it doesn't but I believe we can fix it."
Gary hugged them, "Me too, there is nothing we can't do when we are together."
Molly looked between the two and nodded, "You are right, we can do it."
Unknown to Molly, her decision to believe that they could solve this problem gave Entei the boost he needed to get the Unown under control. This dumbfounded every trainer except Ash, Gary and Molly, who always believed in her Daddy and Ash and Gary knew if you truly believed you want something to happen it would because of their abilities. They half wondered if Molly was gifted like them but they had other things to worry about like Entei fading away.
Molly was distraught, "Daddy, no, you can't leave me again."
Entei rumbled, -Molly, without the Unown I cannot stay, also I'll always be in your heart.-
Ash spoke quietly, "I get it you were created by the Unown and now that they are not here, you can't stay either."
Molly, "That's not fair, I just got my family back. It's not fair."
Gary hugged Molly and pulled her into his arms, "Entei is not real though Molly, he was not from the start but tell you what, if you come with us, we'll be with you. We are real and we are not going anywhere you can't find us."
Molly sniffled, "Papa, I... "
Pikachu, -Kid, just listen to your Papa and Mama.-
Charmander nuzzled her hand, -Come with us, Molly.-
Eevee, -You won't regret it.-
Litten yawned, -You can be my new pillow.-
Gold squatted down next to her smiling gently, "Kid, I know you were alone and that was why this happened. But hey now you got us, yeah."
Yellow smiled at her, "Yeah, Molly, we may not be family but we are definitely friends."
Red ruffled her hair, "I'm not leaving my niece behind, you know."
Green grinned, "You are coming with us."
Molly looked at them then looked at Entei who nodded, "Okay... Daddy, thank you for everything."
Entei disappeared completely, -As long as you are happy, Molly.-
Gold, "He's gone... Do you think he returned to?"
Green shrugged, "Who knows?"
Red looked at the windows, "It's morning."
Mewtwo, -You are right, it already is.-
Red looked at the dark psychic type, "Is something wrong?"
Yellow, "Yeah, you look miffed."
Mewtwo, -Today's battle showed me I'm not the strongest Pokemon after all, I don't know how to deal with that.-
Red smiled, "That's life for you, there will always be someone stronger, or we would lose interest in becoming the best."
Mewtwo nodded, -I want to train more.-
Ash called them, "Guys come on, what are you waiting for?"
Green, "Coming."
Molly looked outside as the morning sun came out, 'Daddy, I won't forget you, I promise.'
Gary, "Ready to meet everyone else Molly. They have all been worried about you, you know?"
Molly looked at Ash who smiled back, "Yes, I am ready."
Gold, "What are we waiting for, let's go ~"
Delia rushed forward and hugged Ash, Gary and Molly as she cried how worried she was about them. Ash looked at his mom guiltily, he didn't mean to make his mother worry and cry over him. He cringed inwardly as he soon saw his father, Uncle Blue, Aunt Rosie, Sabrina, Riley and Alain rush towards them with worried looks. Cypress hugged Ash and Delia the moment he reached them and Rosalind and Blue hugged Gary and Alain hugged Red and Green thanking Arceus, Mew and every Legendary for keeping them safe. They had seen the footage of them getting kidnapped on TV and they had been terrified beyond measure. Ace, Cypress's boss told him to go as fast as possible to his family the same was done by Blue and Rosalind's boss. Alain had been with Riley as they were passing through Pewter city to go to Rota when they saw the news. The five of them had rushed towards Jhoto as fast as they could before reaching the Greenfields just as Delia and the Professor left towards the Hale mansion. Blue and Rosalind were hugging Gary who was hugging Ash and Molly and was still hugged by Delia.
Gary smiled at Molly, "See Molly, while out here we may not be together all the time, but we will always care about each other."
Molly just nodded as she enjoyed the hug, "I think, I get it Papa."
Cypress soon let go as he turned to Red, "Are you alright son?"
Red smiled, "I am exhausted from lack of sleep but otherwise fine."
Blue was checking Green over, "Are you sure, you're unhurt?"
Green flushed, "I'm fine pops. I promise. Just a bit surprised by the Unown, that's all."
Blue blinked before he looked exhausted, "So the Unown are real not simply a story."
Red, "Afraid so Uncle... What's wrong?"
Blue, "Not here boys."
Alain, "This is going to be a mess, isn't it?"
Delia and Rosalind were still to let go of the three youngest as the Professor checked them and the Pokemon over for any problems. He announced there was nothing wrong with them before suggesting that perhaps it would be better if Molly came with them to Pallet town for a while till the hub bub blew over. Ash grumbled at that remembering they were kidnapped in broad daylight and on TV, yikes.
Ash eye smiled at Molly, "What do you think about coming with me and Papa to Pallet?"
Molly instantly brightened up, "Yes, I would like that."
Gary grinned, "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go home."
They left the Greenfields area the next day, in the evening, when more TV crew and investigators started to pour in to check on what happened. Red had to keep Gold from rushing up to the G men, from the league and challenging them left and right, much to Green's amusement and Yellow's embarrassment at how her best friend was behaving. The G men gave them space mostly as Mewtwo did not look much too pleased with so many adult humans around his young human partner. The genetic Pokemon glared every time one of the adults who were stranger to him approached them to question them. At one point Green suggested Mewtwo take the three youngest and stay inside the Hale mansion till they left Greenfields in a few hours. Mewtwo took up the offer and left with the three youngest and instead watched over them as they started to instruct Molly in meditation to help her sudden awakening.
Molly breathed in, "This is a little boring."
Ash opened one eye to look at her, "The start always is, Molly, it takes time, you don't want to hurt yourself, right?"
Molly remembered how the Unown were hurting each other, "Yes mama, I know, it's just boring, that's all but I'll do it."
Gary pat her head, "That's my girl."
Mewtwo was lost in thought as he used his own powers to check on the three of them, -He would have coveted them a lot.-
Red's Lucario looked at him curiously, -Who would have coveted who?-
Mewtwo nodded at the three infront of them, -The man who created me, he would covet them like a precious treasure if he knew of their existence.-
Lucario winced, -People already covet Pappy for his powers and from what Pappy told me, Ash and Gary are more unique then him and Green. It's the reason we train hard in order to keep everyone's attention on us, so they won't be targeted.-
Mewtwo nodded, -They are young. I don't blame my trainer for his worry and I understand how he must feel considering.... -
Red's Charizard landed beside them, -We will protect both you and them, do not fret brother.-
Green's Charizard joined them as well, -Yes, we are family, a pack.-
Mewtwo smiled, -Thank you. They never fail to amaze me, potions, plants that I have never heard about and most importantly abilities that sound so mystical. It should only exist in stories and fairytales.-
Green's Charizard gave a laugh as she looked at the three youngest humans in the pack, -It's a little shocking, is it not? But you know? My Meema used to tell me stories about humans who were special. Humans who were born with a bright soul and kind hearts blessed to heal the world. I wonder sometimes, if they are the humans my Meema talked about.-
Lucario tilted her head, -That is a bit hmm. Well I suppose, it can't be called farfetched considering. Is it a wonder though that the older family members are protective of them?-
Mewtwo mused, -Pity, we cannot spend more time with them, once they are safe at home. I would have loved to know what else they can do.-
Red's Charizard laughed, -You have become attached brother.-
Mewtwo looked at him indignant before he took a breath and spoke, -I fear, you may be right.-
Lucario looked at him, -It's not a bad thing, is it?-
Mewtwo looked contemplative, -No, perhaps not.-
The female aura Pokemon brightened up, she had developed a crush of sorts on the dark psychic Pokemon and it grew more and more as the time passed by. She had told Red about it and Red had simply advised her to court Mewtwo slowly. The group that held Mewtwo before hurt him and she should take it slowly and not rush things or they could end up hurting each other. Lucario had promised her Pappy, she would be careful and decided to observe how others did it around her. Red's Charizard had taken Green's Charizard out on flights everytime the two met up during meetings or in towns that shared the border between Kanto and Jhoto. It was truly sweet romance between the two fire types, it even gave Yellow a lot of reasons on why the two of them should be together.
Both Red and Green had rushed after Alain when that had happened and Gold had facepalmed at his best friend's no filter mouth. Red and Green had found Alain as he sat by the river with a lost expression and promptly decided to comfort Alain and remind him, he was still important to them. Alain had given a watery smile as he explained that he knew they loved each other and he didn't have much of a chance. Red and Green had gotten a determined look on their faces which made Alain wary and forget his pain for a bit. The next thing he knew he was being cuddled by the two of them and being taken care of for a whole week much to his mortification and feeling flattered at the same time. Alain could not begrudge them, their love for each other especially when they were willing to put it aside to comfort him instead.
Green, "Guys, time to go home."
Ash, "Everything has been settled then?"
Red, "Yeah, our Dads and Professor Oak will handle the press."
Gary sighed in relief, "That's good, I really don't want to face reporters for as long as possible."
Alain smiled, "Don't worry, we will not let them bother you guys, I promise."
Ash smiled at the blue eyed teen who would officially start his journey next year with Gold and Yellow, "Thank you Alain, we appreciate it."
Gary grinned brightly, "Yeah, you have no idea what that means to us."
Molly, "Mama, Papa, you don't like the press?"
Ash smiled at her, "Afraid not Molly."
Red twitched at the nickname his younger siblings had received from Molly, they were too young to be parents. Alain blinked at the terms and turned to ask Green who shook his head in negative as to say they are not together. Red then explained Molly's childhood habit of how she had started calling the two boys her mama and papa, she had stopped two years ago but it seems the incident with the Unown restarted the habit again. Alain blinked at that and looked at Ash and Gary, he would have to be blind to not notice that Ash did make a good mama and Gary a good papa. Alain chuckled at his two friends' indignant faces when he said that out loud, he was starting to get over his crush on them and started to see them as family more than anything.
