What if he remembered he was Antioch Peverell? How would it change the Pokemon world if he had magic? Would it make things easier or harder for him to travel with potions, charms and spells to help him along the way? Also the Legendaries seem interested in him because he was touched by Death themselves... And they don't like sharing. Oh dear! So much for a peaceful afterlife.

Healing and Potions

After the fiasco with Damien, the little fire type had started to heal and open up to others. At one point Damien had broken free and tried to escape but Charmander had stood up to her tormentor and shot his face with Dragon breath. Although it was really weak, it turned out to be enough to stop him in his tracks. Green had taken Charmander with him and helped her get better, the little fire type had latched on to Green like a life line and had refused to let go.

Ash meanwhile was working on a potion, "Are the berries ready?"

Gary, "Here you go ~"

Ash added the berries to the potion and it turned green, "I think, it's done."

Gary looked at the potion, "One way to find out. Come on."

Ash, "Green."

Gary, "The Skele Gro potion is ready. We even gave it green apple flavour, do you want to try it?"

Green looked at the two, "Is that so? It doesn't look like much."

Ash, "Of course not. It's a potion."

They were at Saffron city helping Sabrina figure out the difference between the two types of mandrakes and their different properties. As it was, they found out, the difference was because they could use the mandrakes growing at Saffron city as a replacement for the scarab beetles by accident. Green had been a bit dumbfounded by the result of an accident but he didn't mind in the end, as it could help both humans and Pokemon. However problem was the taste of the potion was disgusting and caused problems for many to swallow, even the Ranger veterans and their Pokemon. Ash had taken it as a personal challenge and decided to stay at Saffron city for a few months which turned into a year to figure out how to fix that problem. And where Ash went Gary was there so the two had become a very common sight to be seen at the gym. After a month or so Mairin had joined the two of them at the gym as she had decided to continue her study in Kanto. And she was starting to feel lonely at Pallet with everyone returning to classes or school.

Mairin ran inside, "Guys! I'm here, exams are over."

Ash smiled, "Welcome back Mairin, you are just in time."

Gary, "Yeah, we are about to test the potion."

Mairin made a face, "The disgusting tasting potion... "

Mairin eyed the bottle, "Wait, you managed to change its taste?"

Ash nodded, "Green apple flavor was the closet we could get."

Green walked in, "Alright kids, the ride to the hospital is here. Let me do the talking yeah?"

Gary nodded, "Sure Green, we'll wait near the patient rooms."

Mairin looked at the two confused, "Why don't you ever take credit?"

Ash, "Boring adult talk."

Gary, "I rather be inside with my plants."

Mairin made an :O face, "I guess so."

Ash, "And some adults get handsy and grabby if they know a child did something great."

Mairin winced, "Oh... "

Gary nodded, "Yeah, let's avoid that, yeah?"

Pikachu muttered, -I'll shock them, if they try anything.-

Eevee, -We are here for you Gary.-

Charmander, -Big brother Charmeleon taught me dragon breath, it's not as strong as his but it's enough to humiliate them.-

Litten grinned, -You mean go behind them and..... Blame them for farting? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. That will be hilarious.-

Ash giggles, "Alright you four, you can plan your pranks later. Time to go."

Gary snorted at the four overprotective Pokemon with them, if they wanted they could have evolved last year and yet. They had decided to wait till they started their journey to evolve instead, it was very sweet of them. They entered the car that belonged to Sabrina as the chauffeur drove them to the hospital where the press was waiting along with a few notable Doctors and Healers. Green sighed seeing Sabrina waiting for them infront of the crowd as he and the three kids came out.

Sabrina, "Welcome Green."

Green, "Teacher."

A reporter, "Mr Green, is it true that you and your team success created the bone growth potion called Skele Gro?"

Green, "Yes it's true, now if you don't mind we have patients waiting for us."

Another reporter, "Wait Mr Green, we have a few questions."

Green turned to them blanked faced after he ushered his siblings safely inside, "Your questions can wait, or perhaps you want to answer the parents who are waiting for their children to heal but can't because of your selfish nature, hmm?"

Another reporter, "Apologies for my rival, Mr Green but would it be possible to interview you after?"

Green looked at Sabrina, "I don't see why not, but as long as that guy is not coming."

Sabrina, "Why don't you go ahead Green? I'll handle things here."

Green gave her a grateful smile, "Thank you Sabrina, you are the best teacher and sister in the world."

That last line from Green got a different slew of questions from the reporters who surrounded Sabrina in a circle although they didn't get close to her thanks to her Alakazam's presence. They questioned her relationship to the young man and why no one knew she had a younger sibling and wasn't he Professor Oak's grandson. Green winced at the irritated look on Sabrina's face that she schooled as quickly as it came. He knew better than anyone how much Sabrina hated it when people pried into her personal life.

Sabrina, "My brother likes his privacy also our families are close knit to the point we are pretty much siblings growing up together. Also, I didn't want anyone getting the idea they could pester my younger siblings without facing my wrath."

Green smirked hearing her, "Go teach!"

Gary looked at Green, "Are you okay big brother?"

Green smiled, "I'll be fine, Sabrina will handle them."

Mairin spoke quietly, "I think, I understand why you two don't want people to know."

Ash nodded, "People are weird."

Green, "Let's go get you settled and I have a meeting first."

Ash, Gary and Mairin sat in the visitors hall as Green went to meet the doctors, the patient and the patient's guardians to explain what will happen, how the potion will work and how long will it take. He also explained that the biggest set back of taking the potion would be physical exhaustion and tiredness. So it'll be important for the patient to sleep and eat and to have someone accompany them to the bathroom.

Mr Evans was one of the patient's father, "As long as my little girl can walk again a few weeks of sleep and rest is nothing."

Mrs Cole who had come for her son, "I agree, it'll be wonderful to see my son walk without a crutch again."

Green nodded, "Well then, I hope they don't hate green apples, because that's how the potion taste like."

Mr Evans laughed, "As long as it helps."

Ash, Gary and Mairin watched from the window as the potion was administered to the patients. They watched with bated breath as the four patients who were a young girl their age, a boy Green's age and two adults that they learned were Police officers take the potion. They had to wait for at least half an hour before the potion's effect started to show. The first being exhaustion followed by sleepiness, which occurred because the potion was kicking the body into working and healing faster than it was normally used to. Ash gave a sigh of relief when the results came out normal and there were no other side effects, however the doctors wished to keep an eye on the patients just in case.

Green, "Well that's understandable, they will need to relearn how to walk after the physical trauma they received."

Officer Jenny who had come as support for her comrades nodded, "I agree, I thank you on behalf of the Police Force, Green Oak, for helping our comrades."

Green shook his head, "It's not a problem Officer Jenny, you all put your lives on the line for us everyday, making sure you at least have the best medical services is the least anyone can do."

Officer Jenny nodded before excusing herself, she still had patrol to do and inform her colleagues of the good news, she rubbed her Pokemon's fur as he nudged her"Hey Arcanine! It'll be wonderful to have our old partners back."

Arcanine barked, "Arca!"

Officer Jenny, "They are gonna be okay."

Ash turned to Gary after Officer Jenny left, "We did it!"

Gary nodded as he looked at the happy smiling faces in the room through the window and couldn't help the feeling of satisfaction bubbling in his chest. They had spent an entire year working on the potion then on it's horrible taste. To see such a positive reaction and result for their year long hard work was very gratifying and he couldn't help but lean against Ash smiling goofily to himself. Red and Alain would be joining them at Pallet town at the end of the week to celebrate this success.

Gary grinned, "I can't wait to Master this potion, now that we know how to prepare it properly."

Mairin piped, "Can you teach me? I know Alain can't be bothered so I'll do it."

Ash pulled the younger girl into a side hug, "Of course, Mairin. We will teach you starting tonight. By the end of the week you should be able to make it without our help before we return to Pallet town."

Mairin grinned, "I can't wait and best part my exams are over. And I can finally relax."

Ash grinned, "Yeah, just two more years to go and you'll be free from the prison called school. Not like we go to school in the first place, we have online classes."

Mairin waved her hand, "Details, details. I think they are done but Green looks annoyed."

Sure enough Green left the patient's room and met the three of them outside. He did look annoyed Ash agreed, but he was not sure about what.

Green sighed, "You kids will have to leave with my Alakazam. I don't want the reporters hounding you three, if possible."

Mairin nodded, "Yeah, that's probably for the best."

Ash grumbled, "We already gave a detailed report to the Professor Oak and Blaine about the potion, which they published and made available to the public. What else do they want to know anyway?"

Gary, "Nosy people."

Green smirked, "That's the press for you, looking for something even if it's not there."

Gary gave an annoyed look before the three of them left the hospital with Alakazam. The next thing they knew they were back at the gym and Alakazam bade them farewell before rejoining Green. Gary knew Alakazam would take care of his older sibling but he still worried for him. Green would be leaving on his journey soon and he planned to do it in the Jhoto region instead of Kanto stating that it would help him to have a break from Kanto. Gary worried about Green's mental health, he knew or rather suspected his older brother had gone through some bad things the past couple of years. But Green refused to tell him, instead promising him he was getting help and he was not alone in this. Gary wanted to argue but he let it go not wanting Green to lock himself away from him. He knows Ash had a similar predicament when it came to Red and Mairin had started to have them with Alain since a few months ago. She had complained to the two of them that her big brother was hurt, she knew he was hurt but he refused to say anything. Ash and Gary had looked at her in understanding and helped her in figuring out how to deal with their stubborn, protective and loving older siblings. Ash decided to talk to Riley the next time they met and not let go till he at least tell them what happened.
