Enjoying time together
The group of four humans and four Pokemon strolled towards the field where the fashion show and Pokemon battle were being held. The Pokemon had made a four man protective barrier around the humans. Red found it adorable and cute how protective they were and couldn't help but wonder what his first Pokemon would be. Green smiled as he held Red's hand with one hand and Gary's hand with the other. Red was holding Ash with his other hand and he noticed his friend was smiling at what Ash was telling him.
Ash was chattering excitedly, "The words in Green's bracelet means 'Sound mind for Sound life', I think it suits him. You know?"
Red smiled, "What about mine?"
Ash giggled, "It says, 'You only live Once, so live without regrets', do you like it?"
Green laughed, "I think, that's a pretty logical advice."
Ash looked at Green, "Gary thought of it. He thought, it was fitting."
Gary blushed as Green ruffled his hair proudly, "Nice one baby bro ~"
Pikachu smirked, -He he he he he he! What you are not saying is how long you spent on deciding what to write on the bracelet ~-
Eevee snickered, -Yeah, yeah! All those weeks of going through books.-
Red laughed, "We are really lucky to have such adorable siblings, aren't we Green?"
Green smirked at the red blushes that bloomed on the younger one's faces, "Yup, I will never be tired of being a big brother."
They reached the field where the third contest between sixteen girls would be held soon. It was a fashion show, Red and Green had not wanted to attend but their younger siblings were curious about it, so here they were. The whole way to the field many older girls would stop and complement them on their attires and what an adorable 'Princess', Ash was which made him blush and hide his face on his big brother's neck. Gary got annoyed at their time together being interrupted, which was noticed by Green.
Green smiled, "Ladies please! Our Princess is feeling uncomfortable and we do not want to miss the contest."
The first Lady, "Ah! We apologize, your sister is just so adorable."
The female trainer, "Yeah we got carried away. Sorry about that."
The teen girl, "You are right, the contest will start soon. Girls we need to go."
Red gave a sigh of relief and smiled, "Thanks Green, I was close to losing it!"
Green smirked, "You were not the only one."
Red laughed, "Well then my Princess and Prince, we have twenty five minutes till the show starts, want to grab some popcorn or go to the bathroom?"
Ash nodded, "Bathroom, I don't want to go between the show."
Gary nodded, "Yeah, me too."
The four of them went to the common room and once they did their thing, cleaned up and went to get popcorn for all of them. They found their seats ten minutes to the show and the program soon started.
Announcer, "Welcome, everyone to the Princess Fashion show. Where the contestants will be showcasing their and their Pokemon's beauties. That's right people, it's not just the girls showing off their beauty but also the beauty of the Pokemon. Now give a welcome to the judge, Professor Oak."
Professor Oak, "Hello everyone."
Announcer, "Our very own Nurse Joy."
Nurse Joy, "Hello, it's good to be here ~"
Announcer, "And the region's fashion queen herself, Rosalind Oak."
Rosalind waved, "I'm excited to be here!"
Announcer, "Kanto's own Coordinator Master."
Delia, "Hello everyone, let's enjoy ourselves."
Announcer, "Let's get this show on the road."
The cheers went up from the crowd who were excited for the new rules that were added. Before it used to be just girls showing off their beauty and dressing up in pretty dresses. But ever since one of the contestants last year *cough* Leaf *cough* show cased not only her beauty but also her Pokemon, it had become a trend to match styles with Pokemon. Red and Green got interested after the announcement wondering how these girls would pull it off.
The first two girls walked up on stage, one of them had a Charmeleon, she was wearing a long jacket with sleeves and pants that had the same color as Charmeleon with metal engravings on it. And the other had a Growlithe and she was dressed in a slim no shoulder, bare back dress gown with stripes at the end with a fluffy shawl on her shoulders, she was wearing Growlithe colours.
Red looked at the dresses thoughtfully, "I think the first contestant pulled off the look better."
Ash blinked, "You think so?"
Green, "I agree,"
Gary, "Yeah! It was more cool looking!"
The second pair of contestants came on stage after the first two left. They had a Gardevoir and a Bellossom with them. The one with Gardevoir wore graceful Greek type dress, with green emeralds, while the contestant with Bellossom wore a knee length dress that was designed as Bellossom bottom part. The dresses looked quite elegant and beautiful on them.
Green, "I think the Bellossom one looks cute, don't you think Red?"
Red nodded, "A bit!"
The third pair came out but this pair was a little odd looking. They did not match the Pokemon at all, making people get question marks on their heads. The Larvitar was clearly uncomfortable with the attention they were receiving and did not want to move out of the skirt she was hiding under. The fourth pair were with water type Pokemon and dressed in swimsuits that matched with woopa but definitely not with Lotad.
Ash turned to Red, "That is really cute swimsuit. Can I get one too?"
Red smiled, 'I don't want you wearing dresses that show skin baby bro. You attract enough people without the bare skin.'
Green, "When you are older Princess, you are too young right now."
Ash pouted, "How much older?"
Red poked his head, "Definitely a trainer older."
Gary smiled, "I think, you will look good in that one piece corsula swimsuit Ash."
Red, "Not till you are older!"
Ash, "Okay! But you will have to buy me one big brother."
Red smiled, "Of course!"
Green looked at Red knowingly and understanding the protectiveness, 'We'll watch over him together. I promise!'
Red nodded, 'I just don't want any weird guy or girl taking advantage of him.'
Gary, "Look at the Beautifly and Butterfree, they look good and the contestant are matching well this time."
Ash clapped delighted, "Those dresses are cute!"
The next pair had ghost type Pokemon with them, a Misdreavous and a Litwick. The contestant with Misdreavous was wearing a black Lolita dress while Litwick's partner was wearing a white long sleeve dress carrying a candle. The seventh pair were showing off psychic Pokemon, Espeon and Jynx, and finally the last pair were showing the electric types. Despite the mishaps the show was fun and a success with eight contestants being chosen to go to the final rounds which was the battle round. The last contest was what Red and Green were interested in. It was a Pokemon battle between the 8 contestants. They would battle with the Pokemon they had partnered with during the contest.
The first battle was between the Beautifly and Butterfree, it was a very close match-up between the two butterfly Pokemon. The match was won by Butterfree who used sleep powder to put it's opponent to sleep. The next battle was between Misdreavous and Growlithe, which Growlithe won by using a surprise psychic move on the ghost type. When Misdreavous had cast shadow ball Growlithe had apparently learned reflect threw the attack back at her followed by flamethrower. It caught the Pokemon off-guard allowing the opponent to knock them out. The third battle was between Espeon and Jynx that Espeon won and the final battle between Woopa and Litwick that Woopa won.
That left them with Butterfree, Growlithe, Espeon and Woopa as the final fighters. The last matchup was between Butterfree and Espeon and Growlithe and woopa. Growlithe won against woopa despite the type disadvantage he had and Butterfree won against Espeon by putting her to sleep. The last matchup was between Growlithe and Butterfree which Butterfree won by the skin of his wings, making his partner the Princess of the year, and also proving that types do not always matter in battles.
Red observed the crown that would be given to the new Princess, "Isn't that one of your Mother's latest designs?"
Green looked at the tiara, "Yes it is, huh! I didn't realize it earlier."
Ash's eyes sparkled, "It's really pretty."
Gary hummed, "I wonder, if we can make stuff like that one day?"
Green chuckled, "I don't see why not. You will have to go to an arts and craft university though. To become an official designer."
Gary nodded as they watched the crowning of the new Princess, Lily Waterflower. She was being congratulated by her family, from the looks of it. There were two girls that looked like her, they were triplets, Gary guessed and a younger girl with one side ponytail being held by a woman that looked like her. The triplets looked like the man in the group that Green guessed was their father. It was late evening by the time the contest ended and Green decided to meet his mom, outside the contest grounds.
Green, "Hey mom! Love the design for the tiara."
Rosalind brightened, "Oh, thank you Green. I am happy it was well liked. Oh yes kids I want you to meet an old friend of Delia and I. This is Aqua Waterflower and his family. He was our senior back in high school before."
Green greeted, "Sup!"
Ash smiled, "Hello! Congratulations on winning!"
It made the three older girls coo at the adorableness.
Gary smiled, "Yeah! That was an amazing battle. You are a really cool battler Lily."
Red nodded, "Hello Sir! Ma'am!"
Aqua laughed, "Just call me Aqua kids."
Serenity laughed as well, "And call me Serenity. This shy cutie here is our youngest Misty!"
Ash noticed the little orangette from earlier dressed in a yellow and orange kimono looking at him and Gary curiously. He smiled at her making her blush and hide mumbling something.
Serenity, "Sorry dear! I don't think anyone here understood!"
Misty looked at her mom then back at Ash and said louder, "You are pretty! More prettier than my sisters.", before blushing and hiding again.
Ash blinked then scratched his cheek embarrassed, "Thank you! You look very cute yourself."
That earned a smile from the shy orangette who put her hand forward, "Can we be friends? You are really pretty and nice and I like you."
Ash shook her hand, "Of course we can be friends. Right Gary?"
Gary smiled nodding, "A friend of Ash is a friend of mine."
Misty looked at the Pokemon that she had noticed earlier in the stands, "Are they yours?"
Ash smiled pointing at his Pokemon who puffed up proudly, "Pikachu and Charmander are my partners."
Gary pat Litten, "Litten and Eevee are mine!"
Misty looked at Litten, "I have never seen this one before."
Gary smiled, "Litten is from Alola region. It is very famous for it's beaches and islands."
Misty's eyes sparkled, "Really? You have a Pokemon from outside Kanto? That's so cool."
Ash, "Charmander and Litten chose us as their partners."
Misty, "They can do that? Huh! I don't have a Pokemon yet. I wonder if a Pokemon will choose me."
Daisy spoke up, after a while of cooing at themr, teasing her sister, "You are leaving us for a more beautiful lady. Misty I'm hurt."
Violet teased her, "I think our baby sister is just growing up. She's noticing the pretty girls ~"
Lily sniffed into a handkerchief, "How fast they grow!"
Misty was red with embarrassment, "That's not true! What are you saying! You are still my sisters!"
Serenity poked her older daughters, "That's enough teasing your baby sister."
Red laughed at the older girls' antics, 'They don't look so bad. Misty looks to be similar age as Ash, maybe I can talk to them about watching out for them.'
Green laughed before turning to his mom, "Mom, I was just wondering if Gary and I can have a sleepover at the Ketchums. It has been a while since the last one."
Rosalind, "Of course, dear! As long as you take care of yourself and your brother. And remember Gary has school tomorrow."
Green smiled, "Thanks mom!"
With the permission available Green nodded at that Waterflower family before telling Ash and Gary to say their farewells. They left after getting a promise from Misty to be there for the winter and summer camps that Professor Oak holds yearly for kids who aim to be trainers. They exchanged numbers of their video phones and promised to chat on weekends.
