Nevermore

"I can only apologise, Principle Weems. Officer Crawley was suspended 5 hours ago and yet he seems to believe that disobeying his superiors direct orders would go unnoticed. I can assure you this will not happen again."

Officer Crawley has decided to ignore his suspension and carry out his plan of interrogating the werewolf students. Currently, I'm stood Infront of Principle Weems' desk while she looks angry in her astute chair. She's kind of intimidating but still hot. What the fuck is wrong with me. Be professional.

Crawley is gone. Sent home without his badge or gun. Something I should have took of him but I didn't think he would do something like this. I should have known. To the left of me sat on one of the chairs Infront of the large fireplace is a blonde haired girl wearing bright colours, who I discovered was called Enid Sinclair. She was crying due to the intense questioning from Crawley and next to her, holding her close was Wednesday. Giving me the same intense stare as always but with a slight glare.

"Wednesday would you take Enidback.to Ophelia hall please and make sure she gets plenty of fluids" Wednesday gives a curt nod and helps Enid to her feet before leaving the office.

I take a seat and we'll, wait for the berating from Weems. I feel like a school child. It's embarrassing. I wait and wait for her to shout, but she doesn't. Instead comes around her desk and sits on the chair next to me.

"I'm sorry. I should have ensured he went home. I understand if you'd like to press charges for misconduct. I would also like to apologise to Miss Sinclair and any others who were harassed by Officer Crawley. This is not how I wanted to begin my journey as Sheriff. I wanted to make sure that outcasts and normies could be equal but people like Crawley have other ideas." I feel ashamed but when I look up at the Principle there a faint smile on her face.

"I understand. This was not your fault. I assume Officer Crawley likes to do his own thing and his respect for women is something to be questioned. He is his own person, you can't always be there. I won't be pressing charges but I would.like you to know that I will protect my students no matter what. Could you tell me why he believed the werewolfs were to blame for the attacks."

"There were a few deep and large scratches on a tree near where the last body was discovered. I knew they weren't bear or werewolf scratches as I've seen them before. This was something much bigger but Crawley jumped to conclusions. Again I apologise."

"Thank you for telling me." Oh my god. She put her hand on mine, they're so soft and stop. Seriously get it together. Breathe Calliope or so help me god. "Are you alright? You seem flushed."

Great I'm blushing but who wouldn't right? Right?

"Erm.. yeah I'm fine, just a little hot, sitting next to the fire and all." She gives a slight smirk. What is this woman doing to me.

"Okay sure." She removes her hand and I have to look like I'm not a little sad about it.

"Right, I should apologise to those werewolves and get going. If there's anything you need Principle Weems please don't hesitate to call." I get up to leave and just before I grab the handle of the big oak doors she says...

"Call me Larissa. We're both adults. I don't need you calling me what my students do dear." Damn first name basis.

"Well in that case call me Calliope." I say as I turn around to face her, hand now on the door handle.

"What a beautifully, enchanting name. Goodbye Calliope." I wish I could hear her say my name more often it sounds amazing coming from her.

"Goodbye Larissa." I then leave and make my way to apologise to the werewolfs that Crawley traumatized before heading back to the station to look up who or what those claw marks could belong too.
