Entrapdak

As Frosta stood in front of the door to Entrapta and Hordak's lab, after braving the maze that is Crypto Castle, she had only one thing to say before she walked in there and asked them for advice, "I'm gonna die alone." Needless to say, she didn't have high hopes for this, but she still wasn't going to give up, she couldn't give up. She still remembers all the talks she's had with Spidra, venting to her about how no one treats her seriously because she's the youngest, then she'd make her feel better by asking about her drawings or telling her about similar experiences she's had with older cadets. Spidra's the only one who's ever understood her, who's never brushed her off or treated her differently. All Frosta wants to do is figure out how to ask her out, even if she has to get help from the two biggest weirdos on Etheria.

As soon as Frosta let herself in, Hordak spotted her and said, "What are you doing here? I will not tolerate any uninvited-" only to be cut off mid sentence when Entrapta chimed in with, "Hi Frosta, come on in! I forgot you were coming but don't worry, we'll be done in a minute." Grumbling, Hordak mumbled something about Entrapta never telling him anything, and then returned to their shared project. Most of the Alliance was still wary of him, but honestly, Hordak didn't even faze her anymore. Somehow, watching Hordak be corralled by his tiny purple marshmallow of a girlfriend, had dulled the image of a big bad conqueror he had built.

When they were finished they both walked up to her, and Entrapta said "So, what do you need help with?" This was her last resort so Frosta decided to tell them everything, her crush on Spidra, her "advice" from the other princesses, and how after everything, she still had no idea how to ask her out. Unimpressed, Hordak responded to her issues with, "We are scientists! Why would we debase ourselves by applying our knowledge to such a trivial problem?" earning himself a glare from Frosta. "Hordak," Entrapta said in a chastising tone, "I know it's difficult, believe me, but being a part of the Alliance means we have to help each other, even with things outside our interests." Sighing, he turned to the young princess, and to her surprise asked her, "What do you want to know?"

Frosta was kind of expecting them, or at least Hordak, to turn her away, so in a confused voice she asked them, "Um, I guess… can you tell me how you two got together?" Entrapta answered her, "Sure! I have LOTS of data on that subject!" and then it looked like she was about to pull out a tracker pad, but stopped herself. After thinking for a moment, Entrapta said, "Truthfully, I could show you HUNDREDS of hours of research I've done on my and Hordak's relationship," an idea that visibly frightened both Frosta and Hordak. "But in the end it all came down to this, he trusted me, he respected me, and finally… he understood me, and I did the same for him, the rest just sort of… fell into place" and then they looked at each other, and for the first time since Frosta entered their lab, Hordak had a small smile in his face. After a few seconds, Entrapta continued with, "From what you've told us, you already have that with Spidra. So what's the problem?"

Like a lot of the things Entrapta has said, this left Frosta speechless, and she wondered to herself, "Have I been thinking about this too much?" As she looked back on all the people in relationships she's talked to through this endeavor, she realized something, none of them are particularly graceful, with themselves or their words, and yet all of them managed to be with the person most important to them. If there was hope for THAT lot, maybe there's hope for her.

"Maybe… maybe you're right, and I'm overthinking this, but… I still don't know how to just, you know, get her to go out with me," Frosta said as Hordak scoffed. "Entrapta and I first encountered each other due to our mutual appreciation of science," said Hordak, now desperate to end this encounter and get Frosta out of his lab. "You've said both you and this girl have expressed interest in a 'band' so why don't you invite her to something involving that?" he said, even though he had no idea what a band was. To Frosta's continuing surprise, that actually made sense. She and Spidra are both crazy big fans of the same band, and they DO have a concert coming up, if Frosta asked her to go with her there's no way she'd say no, at least SHE wouldn't.

"Did… did you just give me advice that could ACTUALLY help me?" Frosta said with shock in her voice. Before Hordak could answer her, she ran up to him and, to his horror, hugged him. "Thank you! Thank you both sooo much! That's PERFECT! I finally know what to do!" she yelled as Hordak awkwardly patted her on the head and waited for her to stop. Throughout all of this Entrapta wore a huge grin, and made a mental note to add this to her logs.

Finally, Frosta released Hordak and waved goodbye to him and Entrapta as she left their lab. Blushing, Hordak tried to avoid Entrapta's gaze as she looked at him with stars in her eyes. After everything, Frosta finally had a plan, she was going to ask Spidra to go with her to the concert, and hopefully, she'd say yes.
