Chapter 3
Luna wasn’t quite sure if she should open the door, it might be him, and she didn’t want to deal with his bulls—t. But so what? She lived to annoy him, she already made him destroy multiple walls. And she didn’t have anything else to do. So, she walked over to the door and peaked out, it was the girl. Luna was shocked, why did she come back?
“Hey there” the girl said to Luna, with that same old beautiful voice which soothed Luna to the core. But Luna was shocked, why did she talk to her?!
“Take a hike and get out.” Luna told her, annoyance in her voice. She didn’t want to talk. And she didn’t want to see anybody right then.
“I’m Charlotte.” She told Luna. “But you can call me Charlie”
Luna was shocked, why is she talking to her?
“Go away.” Luna responded, her voice sounding cold and harsh. Luna went to close the door but Charlie stopped her. And then handed her something. “What the f—k did I just say?”
“Just take this first.” Charlie told her, and Luna looked at what it was. It was a pink bead bracelet, Luna was just completely shocked. “Please do, I made it for you.” Luna was even more shocked, this was made for her? This had to be some sort of mistake.
“Yeah. Right.” Luna retorted, she knew it wasn’t. Nothing was ever for her. She barely could even get her own food and someone gave her a bracelet? Impossible.
“Can you give me your hand for a second?” Charlie asked, holding the bracelet up a bit.
“Why should I?” Luna retorted, not wanting too and just wanting to stop this conversation and go to sleep.
“Please?” Charlie asked again, basically begging to help at this point.
“Fine.” Luna said, putting her arm out a little, and looked away a bit. Charlie rolls Luna’s sleeve down and sees something, stunned for a second. Charlie stared, Luna already knew she saw and expected punishment, but it was quite the opposite, she didn’t say anything about it, and put the bracelet on her.
“There you go, are you okay?” Charlie asked Luna, seeming concerned about her.
Luna was absolutely stunned, somebody asked her that, a girl who can’t even leave her room and is not known by anyone got asked that. She started questioning if she was really okay, then again, she always questioned that. And of course she was never okay.
“I’m fine. Now go away.” Luna responded, immediately taking her arm back, looking away a little bit. But Charlotte didn’t leave, she didn’t. “I said go away.” Luna told Charlie again, and closed the door, but when she did she heard Charlie say something,
“Okay, now I need to figure out where to sleep..”
Luna opened the door after hearing that, Charlie and Luna just stared at each other for a minute, then Luna decided to speak up.
“Are you coming in or not?”
Charlie looked surprised and stunned, she wasn’t expecting that.
“Hello? Is your head empty or are you deaf?” Luna remarked.
Charlie walked in a little, and Luna shut the door when she did. Charlotte looked around in wonder, seeming fascinated by the room.
“You can sleep on the bed.” Luna told Charlie
“Then where will you sleep?” Charlie asked, clearly confused.
“On the floor” Luna responded. “It’s pretty easy too.”
“What?! No!” Charlie stated, clearly concerned and worried.
Luna looked over at Charlie, quite confused, “Isn’t that normal?”
“No!” Charlie exclaimed, clearly worried. “What happened to you?!”
“A lot.” Luna responded, not even sounding a bit interested in this conversation. Charlie ran over and hugged Luna “Get off of me!!”
“No!!” Charlie stated, seeming even more worried and concerned. Luna realized she couldn’t escape out of this hug and just let her. Charlie just picked Luna up, and Luna seemed kind of confused but let her. Charlie put Luna on the bed and took her wrist, Luna wasn’t in the place to act, so she let her. Charlie grabbed some bandages and bandaged Luna’s wrist. Luna just let her.
It was midnight now and Luna was still awake, and bored, but Charlie was asleep and Luna wanted to do something. She looked at the door, maybe she could explore the castle? No. It’s too dangerous. But she didn’t have anything else to do and wanted to explore. She sat up, careful not to wake Charlie, and got out of bed. Luna knew it would be dangerous so she grabbed the knife she stole from the kitchen, she had to grab the blood to clean off the blood. When she did she put the knife in her sleeve and checked it, yep, it was hidden. She checked on Charlie again. She looked uncomfortable, Luna managed to find her old teddy bear. It was a brown bear, but it had a lot of stains and a ripped arm, it was also missing an eye. Luna walked over to Charlie and put the stuffed bear by Charlie, and put the blanket on her. She made sure Charlie was comfortable and alright, she was. Luna made sure the knife was secure, it was.
She tiptoed to the door and opened it silently. It made a creaking noise and Luna twirled her head around to check if Charlie woke up from it. She didn’t. She slowly looked back at the door and opened it more, it made a little noise but not much thankfully. Before she stepped out of her room she thought for a second, she could get seriously hurt and maybe even killed. She didn’t want to die, she was scared of death. But she knew she was soon going to die one way or another. And she knew it was very soon. Even though she was scared she knew she had to face her fears, she always would have too. She took a deep breath and stepped out, closing the door silently. She looked around for guards, none. She sighed a breath of relief then heard a voice.
