Villain Base
When the door opened they were greeted by a IceWing and the IceWing said “Welcome back, Big Boss.”
“Hello, Galaxy.” The ‘Big Boss’ said to the IceWing. “Could you Patrol the Forest while I show Mauline around?”
“As you wish, Big Boss.” Galaxy said, and they flapped off.
Galaxy’s POV
Galaxy flapped their wings and left the base behind them.
Galaxy landed in the forest and started their patrol.
Galaxy heard SOMETHING heavy breathing.
As Galaxy looked around, they found a sleeping RainWing Intruder.
Knowing that they had poison shooting fangs, Galaxy ripped some vines from the tree and wrapped them around the RainWings snout.
The RainWing snaps awake and tries to run, but its too late. She was trapped under the vines.
“Well, hello, intruder. I wonder what a RainWing would be doing here, but, whatever. The Big Boss told me to bring in any intruders, and, well, this one is an intruder.” Galaxy ripped off the end of the vines that was still tied to the tree, and wrapped the end around their own wrist.
Galaxy lifted up, flapping their powerful wings, and dragged the RainWing behind them.
Galaxy soon got to the base and dropped down into a dive.
The Big Boss came out, saw the RainWing, and their eyes went wide, “Storm?”
“Do you know this RainWing, Big Boss?” Galaxy asked.
“Yes. Put her into a cage so when I talk to her, she can’t shoot her poison at me. Get to it, Galaxy!” The Big Boss replied.
Galaxy put the RainWing in a cage, unwrapped the vines, and got out of the cage quickly.
Big Boss’s POV
Later on in the day, the Big Boss went to where Storm was kept in a cage.
“Why, hello, dear Storm. I have been looking for you for years. My, where have you been?” The Big Boss asked.
“Nunya.” Storm replied annoyed
“Maybe this would help.” The Big Boss said, tossing a necklace at Storm.
“I’m never putting one of those on again!” Storm yelled at the Big Boss.
The Big Boss sighed and said, “As rebellious as ever you are Storm…”
The Big Boss took the necklace and dropped it around Storm’s neck and horns and it thumped on her neck.
Storm immediately stopped struggling, “What do you need to know, Boss?” Storm said in a monotone voice.
“Better. I need to know where you have been all these years.” The Big Boss said, feeling pride at his own creation of the necklace.
“Oh, you know. All around, I’ve settled in the forest though.” Storm answered
“Alright. I will let you out. Go get whatever stuff you left in the forest. You’re moving back in.” The Big Boss said.
“Ok, I’ll be back” Storm said with no tone of betrayal.
Mauline’s POV
Later that night, Mauline saw Storm come in from the front door and rushed over to her.
“Storm? What are you doing here?” Mauline asked.
“Just getting my things” Storm said, she had no emotion.
That is weird, Mauline thought. “Do you want to stay in my room?”
“No”, Storm said grabbing her things, “I am staying in with the boss.”
“oh, alright.” Mauline watched Storm walk off towards to where the room of the Big Boss.
While she got ready for bed, she took off her necklace, because she always thought that wearing jewelry to bed was too much.
When she did, she gasped and dropped the necklace. Holding her head, she returned to normal.
The necklace on Storm! Maybe it is like my necklace? I’ll call her. Mauline called, hoping no one else would come except for Storm, “Storm!”
No response. I guess I have to look for her myself. Mauline walked out of her room.
First she checked the living room.
Not there.
Then she walked over to the Plotting Room to hear the Boss arguing with the IceWing.
Thankfully, not there.
Mauline tip-taloned away. Then, she checked the unthinkable room. The Boss’s bedroom. She hoped Storm wasn’t in there.
Not there.
Then Mauline remembered something. Storm had an old bedroom. So Mauline checked in there.
“Storm? You here?” Mauline whispered.
“Yes, come in, Mauline.” Storm answered still, with no tone.
“the big boss wanted me to tell you something. He said that you have to take off your necklace.” Mauline said, quietly hoping it would work.
“Really? I’ve never heard him say that, why? Storm said
“I don't know, he did not tell me.” Mauline said, and in her mind, she screamed at herself, It won’t work! But I hope it will work she told herself back.
“Alright then, could you go ask him? Or I can” Storm said unpacking
“Sure!” Mauline rushed out and quietly went away. She thought and thought and thought and thought Oh! Maybe because there is malfunction in the necklace.
Mauline rushed back and said to Storm “He said there was a malfunction in the necklace.”
“Wow, that never happens, ok” Storm said as she took off the necklace.
”Really?” Mauline said, “Do…do you feel any different?”
Storm stopped whatever she was doing, “Mauline? How did we get here?”
“OH THANK THE MOONS!” Mauline said. “The Boss put a necklace on you. Seems like the necklace he gave me was enchanted too.” Mauline paused, then hugged Storm, saying, “I was soooo worried about you Storm!”
“SHHHH!” Storm said quite loudly. “He can’t know” Storm inhaled ”I CAN’T BELIEVE I FELL FOR THAT!”
“We need to get out of here.” Mauline pulled herself away from Storm, staring into her eyes. “It is not safe.”
“He will find us, he probably knows where I live now. And maybe you, we have to act normal!” Storm said, now with lots of emotion.
“You’re missing one point.” Mauline said shaking her head. “He doesn’t know where I live. I was lost in the forest when he found me.”
“But he knows what forest it is” Storm said panicking.
“Where I live, it isn’t in the forest.” Mauline said, holding Storm’s shoulders. “So, we need to get out of here, as soon as possible.”
“Ok, I can do this. I’ve done once I can do it again” Storm said more talking to herself.
“alright, then, follow me.” Mauline quietly tip-taloned out of the building with Storm behind her.
They flew fast for hours and, hours after the leaving the forest behind, they reached her nest.
“There! Its down there!” Mauline said.
“Finally...” Storm said tiredly.
“MOM!! MOTHER!!” mauline said.
Redwood shot out and bowled Mauline out of the sky.
“Dah! MOTHER WHAT THE HECK!” Mauline said.
Cloud watched from below, her wings twitching nervously.
Storm gracefully landed on solid ground.
Redwood glanced over at storm. “Mauline who is this?”
“This is..” Mauline trailed off as she looked at storm for permission to say her name.
“Rose!” Storm/Rose said quickly
Mauline nodded thoughtfully. “Rose? Is it ok if we tell them about…you know…?”
Mauline explained everything, except ‘Rose’s’ backstory.
Redwood gaped, “The Big Boss?! TO HECK I KNOW THAT MOON-FORSAKEN JERK OF A DRAGON!”
Cloud said, “Honey, language!”
“Yep” Storm/Rose said “We all do”
“Grrrrrrrgh… “ Redwood growled. “I know him very very well.”
