Chapter 13
[A/N]: TW:Chishiya being a simp.
Ippei and Kuina felt the tension between the two of you, but didn't pry. Kuina was mad at Chishiya for bringing a girl with him, when he was having a thing with you, but the girl was always with him, not letting Kuina scold him for being stupid.
She knows that you two still weren't official, but for her, it was pure barest minimum of decency to not flirt with others when you're almost with someone. Himari told her that it was love at first sight when she saw Chishiya. And the day Kuina and Ippei met her, was the also the first time Chishiya and her knew each other officially.
Ippei side-eyed Kuina, which she returned, having second-hand embarrassment that the girl was acting like she was his bride-to-be. Even Ippei was not pleased that Chishiya was entertaining another one when he has you already.
They were in your side.
YOU KEPT YOUR THREATS. You didn't talk to Chishiya, not even stay at the same area as him the next day. People wanted the tea, but they were so busy with their own businesses to mind your issue, which you were thankful of. No one was asking you about it.
Himari didn't come again for days, and it kept your sanity intact. Today marked the fourth day that you weren't sitting with him. You didn't mind being alone right now that you can't mask your genuine self.
People shivered at how frightening you were these past few days after Himari's appearance at the university. Your cold demeanor was colder than it already was, it's freezing them at their footing. Your expressionless eyes went sharp that it can cut someone's neck if they can kill. Your oddly cheery calm voice was not there anymore, it wad low and lifeless, sucking the life out of people when you talk.
You've become your true self.
Chishiya was not having fun about it. Clearly taking words back, that he wanted to see your true self, react with truthfulness. For someone like Chishiya to be disturbed by someone, it just meant that who you really are was terrifying.
Even Niragi stayed away from you, afraid that you might kill him without actually killing him. Your roommates was pleased to not see Niragi, but were worried for you. You assured them that everything was fine.
It was dismissal, you mindlessly walk toward the university's gate that holds the path of Chishiya's house. You stopped at the realization and then you saw a familiar face. Her face was holding an expression of contempt, and she was close enough to you, you felt a sudden pain in your left cheek.
She slapped you.
You tasted blood on your mouth as you used your tongue to feel the wound your inner cheek acquired from her hit.
“You pretentious bitch! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!” she tried lessening the distance between you two as you step back to not get hit again.
Fuck your studies and your scholarship.
You raised your fist preparing to punch her perfect face when Chishiya's friends running into you, worried faces, and Kuina's was mixed with anger.
“[Name], are you okay?! Shit why did I ask that?! Of course you aren't.” she rushed to see your face. “What is wrong with you?!”
Himari glared at Kuina, as Ippei handed you a while tissue box that came from his big and cute backpack, together with a whole ass trash bag. You used the tissue paper to spit the blood out, and Kuina put you behind her as an act of defending you to a threat.
“Hikari, get out of the way, I'll kill that bitch behind you.”
“Don't call me Hikari, and don't call [Name] a bitch, seriously, what is your problem?”
Her eyes were burning with hate and utter disgust to you. People started crowding up the space around you, anticipating what you will do in response.
You didn't do anything other than stare at her. You took your phone in your bag, check the time, which was 4:06 in the afternoon and dialed the number of the man you utterly hated, other than the woman who just slapped your pretty face. Not even a second passed and he answered you.
“Hell—”
“Im giving you five fucking minutes to collect your rabid dog, or I'll turn her in to the pound for biting a human.” people snickered at what you said, but stopped when they felt the atmosphere began to become colder.
You're pissed off.
Himari on the other hand was more than offended. She felt absolutely disrespected on your analogy. It didn't help that some person with a gruff voice commented on how disrespectful you were on the dogs. That the dogs would feel sad that they got used as a metaphor to represent the ugly wench.
“Young Lady! Please stop this in an instant!”
A middle-aged looking man weaved through the thick crowd the students formed watching you be entangled in some drama. You were the least person they would expect to see in this situation after all.
You told Ippei and Kuina to leave you on your own, afraid that they might be implicated in the mess and create a larger conflict. They reluctantly blended to the crowd.
The man managed to get in the middle, and got shocked when he saw your swollen cheek, the mark of Himari's hand was still visible. The man tried to drag her to wherever she needs to be, but the woman didn't budge.
“Why should I stop? SHE TOOK MY FIANCE AWAY! MY SHUN!” She screeched so loudly as she wailed like a baby.
Collected gasp was heard after she just shouted to the world that you are a homewrecker. You didn't show any reaction, as you waited for Chishiya to come, and he did.
He appears calm, but he just ran from the third floor of a building on the opposite side of the gate that the crowd was gathering. His hands were on his pockets, hoping that you wouldn't notice that he bolted to you because you said so.
“We aren't fiances, don't spread misinformation.”
“Young Master is right, Young Lady, please let's go home, you're embarrassing yourself. Please, Young Lady.”
“No! I don't wanna!”
“HIMARI.” a voice familiar to his ears stopped the said woman's temper tantrum. “Suzuki, didn't I tell you to take her yo the car? Himari, we will talk later.”
The intimidating old man made way to you and Chishiya who secretly moved to be closer to you. His eyes held things that young person like would be able to hold, and the people started to scatter and went on their way, scared after recognizing who the older man is.
“You two, we need to talk.”
