Day 29 (Darcy & Peter Quill)
“I’m outside.” Is all that the text reads but the sender is Star Lord so Darcy just grabs her purse and runs outside. “Peter!” She shouts as the door slam shut behind her. Peter just opens his arms and hugs her tight. “How is my favourite Terran?” He keeps an arm around and guides her towards his car.
“I’m good.” Darcy beams up at him and snuggles into his side. She has missed the man that is the closest to a big brother that she has. She is so busy taking him in that she misses the car that they are walking too until she’s right in front of it. Peter fishes the keys out of his pockets and therefore doesn’t notice her mouth dropping open as she stares at the car. “Pete? What the hell is this?”
Peter turns around and notices Darcy’s stare. He frowns and turns to inspect the car but sees nothing wrong. “Darce?”
“This. This car. It’s a travesty! I know you’re from space but this.. Aww come on.”
Peter blinks. “This is an old Volkswagen. It’s a classic.”
“No. It’s ancient. Just like that Walkman off yours. You need an iPod and a new car.”
“I do not. They work just fine. And what the hell is an ipot?” They both get into the car without pause.
“What is an iPod? Oh my Thor, you have got to be kidding me? Isn’t space supposed to be the future?”
Peter starts the car and they drive off, still arguing.
