From the moment Wave got off the chair and headed over to the elevator herself, the scene changed. Specifically, when she pressed the button to send it down. Then, it changed to an image of her and Zuma staring ahead with their backs against each other. Then, the lyrics began for Understand You. "You are my friend. That's why I want to understand you. But in this way, I don't know how."
The next scene showed Wave reflecting on something Zuma told her on the way to Coastal Current. "It really hurts. Not feeling the way I feel I should. About your pain, is what I meannow." The next scenario showed Wave and the others looking around for Zuma in case he and Rocky were still in town. "It's not like you to push others away." It was then that Wave found Rocky and Zuma's paw prints. She instantly figured out that they went into the woods. "I want to learn what made you do so that day!"
Wave briefly closed her eyes, and she and Zuma were facing each other as the scene changed to her side. "Or in this case, night."
Wave opened her eyes, and flashbacks to moments about her and Zuma played. First was her sharing Princess Chocolate with him. Then, his reunion with his parents. After that, it was her getting lost in Dragon's Hamlet, and then Zuma shoving her after Charm announced Claw's 'betrayal'. Then it showed Wave telling Zuma about how she killed the demon turned Paleclaw. And then, them fighting Miranda's bots together. After that, them talking after vising Wave's parents' grave and burying Miranda. And finally, their sparring match before the latest bout with Slash.
As all of these flashbacks were shown, the lyrics to reflect them played alongside. "We've had good times, and bad times, all times I wouldn't trade. That's why it hurts that I can't understand, why this was the choice you made." When the flashbacks ended, the next shot had Wave spotting the cave Rocky and Zuma were at now. "To have your ties to someone you love forced away must hurt. But there must be something deeper and, my want to understand isn't overt."
Wave was then shown confronting Zuma in the cave, and he ignored her at first, as he was just about to plan out his next move. "You're my friend. I want to see this through." Wave stepped closer to Zuma, who stood up as soon as she did. "So please help me understand you." Zuma looked back at Wave with a glare, knowing she couldn't understand his fear of loneliness. "I know I can help in saving your sister tooooo." Wave and Zuma looked at each other, Wave showing concern and compassion, and Zuma showing aggression and limited mental stability.
