Oh no
It’s been three months since Kara and Lena’s relationship suddenly ended. Once the shocking news came out everyone around national cities had questions about the sudden end between the hero and Luthor.
Kara hasn't been answering any media questions about it, she’s deciding to not talk about it at all, not even with her close friends.
The same thing goes with Lena, she has had interview after interview and at least three to five people ask the same question over and over again.
They keep their distance from each other, and the only time they see each other is either on television or at city council meetings. Even if they see each other, a word isn’t exchanged between the two. Maybe glance at one another but nothing else.
It pains kara the most because she has a big heart and has been through this pandemic before. With Mon-El. Kara's heart still aches when she hears Lena’s name or sees her on tv or even on some social media accounts.
No one knows about Lena. She is a very independent woman, she doesn’t show her feelings and remains them inside. The only person she showed her true feelings to was herself. She never showed them to Kara because well, she would never tell.
Her trust has been broken so many times she stopped showing her true self. And hides her feelings in a box and away from everyone. Kara knows that, but does it hurt? Yes.
Kara sighed as she reached her apartment, she’s been up and out all day and was just ready to relax in her own personal bubble. She focuses her hearing, she doesn’t know why she still does this and hears out for Lena’s heartbeat. It’s steady, which means she’s either laying down and fast asleep or watching TV. She stopped listening and went to take off her suit.
Need to breathe.
Every day when she wakes up she checks up on Lena’s heartbeat and every night before she falls asleep. She made a promise that she would protect her at all costs and make sure she is safe. It’s stupid. She doesn’t know why.
Kara forgot about that thought and went to grab an oversized shirt, as she picked it up from her hamper, something fell down on the floor. It’s a black box. Oh. She bends down to pick it up and holds it in her hands.
Lena has been mentioning this jewelry, and Kara wants to get it for her. And well she got it, and it shipped here right after the breakup. A day later.
Tears start to form in her eyes as she looks at the box, rotating it in her hands and just thinking how things could’ve been so different. How she could’ve seen the signs? She closes her eyes shut as she tries to forget about everything.
But her mind doesn’t let her. It’s hard to forget about someone when you truly love. Kara shakes her head and tossed the box to the other side, far away from her.
Kara can’t keep doing this to herself, she needs to remember that Lena doesn’t give a fuck about her anymore, and doesn’t want anything to do with her anymore. It hurts but it’s true. So she needs to train herself to forget.
The blonde goes to the kitchen to see what she can eat for the time being, and she can do some work while she has time on her hands. She takes out her laptop and waits as it loads and fixes something to eat.
“Hey, Alex?” Kelly walked in their shared bedroom after putting their daughter to sleep, she climbed into bed and waited until her wife came out from the bathroom. “Yes, love?” Alex said, well try to say knowing she is scrubbing her teeth right now.
“I’m worried about Kara. She says that she is fine, but her demeanor is off.” Kelly heard about the break up and she was very hurt by the sudden change in their relationship. She doesn’t know what exactly happened and she doesn’t want to push for information. She just worried about both of her friends she came to know over the years.
Alex rinsed out her mouth before answering her wife, “we both know that she isn’t fine. But she’s trying her best to keep up her smile. We can’t do anything about it and just have to wait just how Kara has to wait.” Alex said as she crawled into bed next to Kelly, seeing on her face expressions that she’s really concerned for Kara's emotional health.
“I just wish there was something for us to do.”
“I do too. I haven’t spoken to Lena, because Kara is my sister and I’m very overprotective of her, and I know Lena means no harm. But I’m keeping my distance anyway.” Alex doesn’t see Lena as a threat, but it’s just her genes that say to protect Kara, even from the ones who hurt her, physically mentally, and emotionally.
“Yes, that’s for the best. I did speak to Lena today and she doesn’t seem so infected by the breakup. So I don’t know if she is hurt or not.”
“How about this; we go to Kara’s apartment and spend the day with her and we can bring Esme. Kara always has the brightest smile when she sees her.”
Kelly smiles at the idea, “You always have the smartest ideas.” Making Alex blush at the statement. “It’s a deal,” Kelly said, bringing Alex close to kiss her smoothly.
“Okay, Lena,” Sam said after laughing with her two friends, Lena and Andrea. “I need to get home, and get the documents you sent me.” Ever since Lena's assistant in her office got fired for not doing her job correctly, she decided to give it to Same. “You want to get fired?” She said pretending to be in the boss role, which Sam had followed through, “Oh, no Ma’am! I promise to get them done!” They both laughed and noticed another figure hadn't they turned to see Andrea inhaling the last bit of her wine.
Andrea noticed eyes on her and swallowed the last bit, “What?” She said with a big grin on her face making the other two laugh even harder. “I’ll see y’all gals later!” She said as she gave both of them hugs and went to put on her coat, waving one last time before departing out the door.
“And then there were two!” Andrea said while laughing, she can’t possibly be drunk already. “Okay, that’s enough for you,” Lena said as she grabbed the bottle and realized it was nearly empty. “Andrea!”
As they shout her name she simply laughs, Lena looks down at the laughing, drunk, woman and shakes her head from side to side. “What am I going to do with you?” She jokingly asked, not really expecting an answer, but of course, the other woman answered. “Love me, feed me, care for me!”
Andrea tries to stand herself up, once Lena realized what she was doing she went over to stop her, “Woah, what do you think you’re doing?”
“I have to pee~.” Yup, very much drunk as she slurs her words.
“Let me help you.”
As Lena tries to get her to stand straight up, they do their best to walk toward the bathroom. Andrea trips over her own feet, luckily there was a wall right behind them, “Umph.” Lena let out a sound once her back hit the wall. “I–’m sorry..” Andrea slurs as her face reach Lena’s neck. Her hot breath had sent shivers down the shorter woman’s spine. She starts to feel the familiar feeling between her legs.
She tries to close them but realizes Andrea is literally in between them, pressing her body close to her. Fuck. She thought. “A-Andrea, come on, love. Let’s get you to the bathroom.” Andrea hums before fixing up her posture, while doing so her thighs make contact with Lena's area and a moan is heard from her red lips. There was a pause between both women as their cheeks started to turn red.
Andrea tried her luck and did the movement again. And of course, Lena reacted the way she wanted to. Another moan slips from her lips. Andrea's head is still connected with Lena’s neck, she slowly but gracefully moved her lips to the pale skin, kissed it once then twice before she fully planted her lips to the skin. Opening her mouth to put the skin in between her teeth.
Lena moans and draws her head close. Is this wrong to do? She doesn’t know. But she doesn’t want to stop.
Andrea rubs her thigh up and down, a steady pass, not ready for this moment to end. And Lena doesn’t want it to end either. “Andrea, fuck.” Lena whispered with a moan, her breathing hiking up and her back arching. She’s starting to feel warm all over her body and just wants to take off all of her clothes. Andrea let go of her neck, in search of the red lips she’s been thinking about all night.
As bad as it sounds, she is happy that Lena and Kara aren't together anymore, she was in love with Lena for a long time. And now it’s her time.
As their lips crash into each other, they start to rub their hands everywhere, Lena’s arms make their way around Andrea’s neck, and Andrea’s hands make their way to her hips.
The moan Lena let out as they broke apart was loud.
Kara's eyes opened as she was trying to get some sleep. She heard something, and as she listened closely she realized Lena’s heart rate had picked up. She rushed to put on her suit and flew out her bedroom window.
As she rushed to Lena’s apartment she realized there was another heartbeat. Same rate as Lena's. She hurried there fast, her heart is racing, what can possibly be wrong? As she was close to the apartment she could see a glimpse of Lena through the window, her back pressed to the wall, and her leg hiked up to someone’s body. She floats a little closer to the window.
Her eyes widen and her mouth falls open in shock. Andrea and Lena making out right in front of her eyes. She looks for another minute before flying away as fast as she can. She doesn’t know where she is flying to, but she passes her apartment.
The next morning Alex, Kelly, and their daughter Esme are in front of Kara’s apartment, she takes out the spare key and walks in. As they walk in the smile from their faces fall, something isn’t right. “Esme, sweaty go see if aunty Kara is in her room.” Kelly looks at Alex, as Alex searches through the house to see if Kara left a note or at least something.
“I don’t see, aunty Kar! But I found this note on her bed.” Esme runs into the living room towards Kelly. She reads the letter and her eyes widen, “Alex.” They both reach each other's eyes as Alex walks near her wife and daughter. As Alex reads the notes she swallows a lump in her throat.
I’m sorry, I saw something that I shouldn’t have and it affected me. I’m going back to my cabin. I wish to not be bothered until I reach out to you or Kelly. I just want to be left alone.
Alex sighs. What did she see?
