Standing on the subway, Akko listened to her music to ignore the silence of the overcrowded train. She had miraculously avoided being separated from her twin, who stood somewhat behind her, listening to his own music.
They didn’t have a long commute to school, but it felt like forever in the crowd. Once they reached their station they were quick to get off the train and out of the station. Akko spotted three familiar faces waiting by a support beam and made her way over to them.
Katsuki noticed this and scoffed, but he didn’t stop her.
Putting her earbuds away as she approached the group, the older twin was spotted by her friend.
“Oh look, Akko-chan made it.” Kendo said, grinning at the dual-haired teen. Monoma and Kaibara turned to look at her as well.
“Let’s go, this place is too damn crowded.” Akko shuddered slightly. The others nodded in agreement and they made their way towards the school.
“So Akko-san,” Kaibara began, turning the teens attention to him. “I never got to ask, but what’s it like being a twin? Like do your parents have a bias?” He asked. Monoma and Kendo stopped their conversation to listen as well.
“Hm? Well, not really. My kaa-san’s personality is a lot like Suki’s so they tend to argue a lot,” She sighed. “My oto-san is the complete opposite though. Me and Suki get along most of the time, when I’m home anyways.” Akko shrugged.
“You make it sound like you almost never go home.” Monoma pointed out. Akko laughed.
“It does kinda sound like that huh?” She received nods from her friends. “I go to Shibuya a lot, and sometimes I stay for a day or two. But in the end I suppose I’m home more than I think.” Akko shrugged.
The rest of the walk was filled with idle chatter. When they made it to their classroom they had to separate to go to their individual seats. Kendo and Kaibara sat near Akko so they continued to talk as the rest filed in. Vlad entered just before the bell rang and he began class.
“Good morning everyone.” He greeted the class.
“Good morning sensei.” Everyone responded.
“I’m going to call role, then you all may talk before your next class begins,” Vlad said before clearing his throat. “Awase Yosetsu, Bakugou Akko, Bondo Kojiro, Fukidashi Manga...”
Akko tuned him out as she waited. She usually wasn’t a big fan of school, but perhaps UA would change that.
Classes were boring. They had maths first with the pro-hero Ectoplasm, and then English with Present Mic. English wasn’t hard, in Akko’s opinion. Maybe it was because she had been fully fluent in the language in her past life, but she managed to get through it like she was a native speaker.
A few others found it easy as well, one being Tsunotori Pony. She was an American transfer student, so she naturally had an easier time with English class. After English was lunch.
“Akko-chan, will you be joining us?” Kendo asked as the class began to head out of the room.
“No actually, I planned on sitting with my brother,” she gave them a sheepish smile. “Maybe another time.”
“We understand.” Kaibara gave her a charming smile as he patted her shoulder. Akko returned the smile as they entered the cafeteria.
The dual-haired teen quickly spotted her brother sitting with a few people who were probably his classmates that claimed him as their friend.
She approached them.
“I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” She said to announce her presence. The group— minus Katsuki— stopped talking to look at her. Katsuki glanced up at his twin and scoffed.
“No, not at all.” A red haired boy said, grinning at her with shark-like teeth.
“I’m glad,” She recuperated the smile. “I suppose I should introduce myself, seeing as Suki here is a little shit,” She received a glare from said boy. “I’m Bakugou Akko, Katsuki’s older sister.” She bowed to them.
“We’re twins.” Katsuki growled, glaring at his sister as she took a seat beside him.
“You’re jealous I got all the good looks.” Akko shot back, nudging him with an elbow. His classmates introduced themselves and they fell into a casual conversation.
“Ne Akko-chan, is your quirk different from Bakubro’s?” Kirishima asked, Ashido, Kaminari, and Sero seeming interested as well.
“Not really,” Akko shrugged. “If we were to compare based off of destruction power his would definitely take the cake. But if we were to go by anything else, mine would win.” She explained.
“Oh please,” Katsuki scoffed. “Your quirk is useless if you don’t have anything you can throw.” Akko narrowed her eyes at him.
“You and I know fairly well that I can cause you to explode right now.” Her tone was flat and it sent shivers down everyone’s spines, even Katsuki’s.
If there was anyone he feared the most, it was his twin sister when she was pissed. Katsuki looked away from her with a scoff and the conversation shifted to something less dark.
After lunch was over Akko returned to her own classroom. The so-called Bakusquad walked back to class with a single question on their minds. Would Akko-chan have blown him up without a single thought?
“Hey Bakugou-kun, I don’t remember seeing Akko-chan at the entrance exams.” Ashido pointed out.
“She wasn’t. Akko was recommended.” Katsuki grunted as they entered their classroom and separated into their individual seats.
