Peggy Carter/Angie Martinelli - "You Need To Wake Up Because I Can't Do This Without You"
“You need to wake up because I can’t do this without you.”
Angie shouldn’t have been there. She should’ve been safe at home. Peggy closed her eyes, fighting the blind panic in her stomach.
She was putting pressure on the wound, a bullet through her abdomen. A bullet meant for her.
“Please wake up,” Peggy begged, leaning over her, hair falling in her eyes. If Angie were awake she’d make fun of how uncomposed Peggy was at that moment.
“Jarvis!” Peggy called again. Where was Jarvis? He’d have something. She needed someone to do something because she was letting Angie down.
She’d known this was going to happen.
She’d been selfish and now she was paying for it.
Angie coughed weakly.
“Angie,” Peggy switched one hand onto Angie’s face to direct her face to hers, unwilling leaving a streak of blood against Angie’s face.
“English?” Angie murmured weakly.
“We’ll get help,” she promised. “Jarvis!” She shouted, tossing a look over her shoulder. Still no sign. What was taking him so long?
Angie smiled at her. “You look a mess.”
Peggy wiped at her own eyes, leaving Angie’s blood on her face too. “Only for you,” she told her.
