Peggy Carter/Angie Martinelli - "You Lied To Me"

“You lied to me.”
Angie was looking at her, unflinchingly.
Peggy wished she would. Peggy wished she’d look upset or angry. Not this. Determined. Brave. Amazing.
“I did,” she admitted firmly.
Angie’s lip trembled.
Peggy took it back. Angie upset was so much worse.
“Were you ever going to tell me?” she asked in a small voice.
Peggy hesitated and Angie’s gaze darkened.
“Right,” she said, moving to step past Peggy storm out. Peggy grabbed her arm on the way and turned to face her again.
“Angie,” she said softly. She pressed their foreheads together. “I did it to protect you.”
Angie pulled free of her grip. “Of course you did.” She didn’t look back as she walked out the door.
