Cable/Deadpool - "I'm Flirting With You"
“I’m flirting with you.”
Wade choked. He blindly reached out for his drink and swallowed it all down. “What??”
“And this is a date,” Cable informed him in the same tone.
Wade choked on the water and ended up spluttering and coughing for the next few minutes. “What?”he gasped when he got his breath back.
Cable was looking at him with the same emotionless look.
“That… that’s fraud!” Wade exclaimed, drawing glances from the other people in the restaurant. Not that Cable hadn’t garnered a few looks on his own without the merc yelling things.
Cable gave the Cable-equivalent of an eye roll. “It’s hardly my fault that ‘let’s have a dinner date’ somehow didn’t get through to you.”
Wade’s mouth dropped open. “I thought that was a joke! A Cable joke, you know, since your head is so screwed you think that sort of stuff is funny.”
“It wasn’t a joke.”
“How do I know this isn’t a joke?”
Nathan sighed and stood up, circled the table and cupped the back of his head. Then he pulled Wade up out of the chair and kissed him.
After few seconds he let Wade back onto the chair and retook his own. “Satisfied?”
Wade opened and closed his mouth a few times. “I still think this was a dirty trick,” he said finally.
