"Ray, do you think I'm attractive?"
"Wha?" Ray startled, a half chewed bite of burger catching in his throat causing him choke for a split second. "Why would you ask me that?"
"I respect your opinion and I've found your insights to quite helpful."
"Oh." Ray relaxes a little apparently mollified by Fraser's reasoning.
"Also," Fraser continues, though more cautiously than before. "I was wondering what you found attractive in a partner."
Ray gives Fraser a side eye, but seems to consider the question thoughtfully as he works his way through a handful of fries. "Smart and confident. Someone who know their own mind. A good dancer."
Fraser nods slowly, pleased. "Thank you for that, Ray. I'll keep it in mind."
After giving Fraser another strange look Ray shrugs and turns his full attention back to his food. He should consider this whole conversation weird and off putting, but when you work with Benton Fraser it means that this is just another Tuesday.
