Fear The Anger of A Righteous Man
Danny Williams is not happy. No, that's not true, he passed the realm of not happy about 10 miles ago. He's now clearly in the middle of epic levels of freaking pissed! In fact, if Steve is still alive when Danny find him there might be blood on the ceiling and it sure as hell isn't going to be Danny's!
Mentally he goes through his list, reminding himself of all the reasons that Steve needs to be punished. Chasing down a suspect without back up. Check. Letting himself be captured by said suspect. Check. Allowing himself to be used as a hostage to let the aforementioned suspect escape. Check and double check.
The only saving grace at this point is that Steve did leave his phone on so that he can be tracked by the GPS signal. Not that it is going to save him from a tongue lashing, pointed reminders and side eyes. Years and years of them. Possibly even after Danny strangles the life out of his reckless, thoughtless lover.
Of course that was when he saw the body being washed by the waves just past the breakers. Without thinking and giving into the panic flooding through his body Danny braked hard and spun the wheels sending the car flying into the sand. He was out before it had come to a complete stop, his clothes and shoes falling where they may as he stripped down to his boxers at a dead run.
God damn Steve better still be alive! No one, no one, else was going to have the pleasure of killing Steve. Danny had earned that right and he was not about to concede it to anyone!
