It was supposed to just have been coffee and waffles. Nothing major, no big epic moments of romance or anything else. Breakfast - a meal - the most important one of the day and that - was - it. But any time spent with Wade was likely to wrought with random moments of just about any damn thing.
So, when the diner was held up by a masked gunman Peter wasn't surprised as such. More resigned with a side order of annoyed that is his wonderful, tasty, waffle was going to get soggy while he and Wade explained the facts of life to gun in a balaclava.
Next time he was just going to order in or maybe get their food to go. Better yet, he'd just buy a damn waffle iron. Then they wouldn't even have to leave the apartment!
