Drew and The Mystery Girl

After the meeting, Chloe did her job which was to search for anyone around the school to see if there was anyone else that might need her help. She'll never admit to it but she always did this so that she could help save someone's life.

You never know what's under the surface of others.

Some people use smiles to hide the pain while others use rage and bottle up themselves in a storm of accepting and horrible emotions to themselves.

Stacy was one of the many she found while looking around.

She was hurt.

And no one noticed.

Chloe found her smoking outside the school one afternoon.

She offered her a family and protection.

Stacy took it.

She still has having trouble with her smoking addiction but they are trying.

Chloe refuses to give up on her.

Like he didn't give up on her.

She hears a crash from the Art room which breaks her out of her thoughts so she goes there.

A boy with purple hair is painting in there.

The painting is abstract.

Black, dark reds and variation of whites.

He's hurt and angry.

Emotions have a thing for appearing in one's artwork especially if they are in the range of emotion at that point in time.

She approached him quietly.

When he felt a finger tap his shoulder, Drew nearly jumped out of his skin. He spun around, nearly knocking CJ off balance but he grabbed her wrist to stop her from falling.

He came face to face with a girl he didn't know.

That's good.

He didn't need anyone else finding him especially Zoey.

He turned around after letting her go so that he could focus on his painting.

"Hello." She said to him, her voice gentle.

More gentle than it needed to be. It was like she knew that he was upset.

"Hello." was his reply.

He wasn't sure if he would be able to have a proper conversation without crying right now.

Jake.

After everything that he did for him.

He just blamed him.

Without any evidence.

Sure he forced him to say it but Drew was sure that Jake said things about the Jomies when he was with the Freaks.

He didn't even have those Freaks' numbers.

He didn't even know what was going on until Jake yelled at him.

He felt a small hand wiping something off of his cheek.

The girl was next to him, wiping his face.

When did he started crying?

His gaze snaps over to meet her one, one hand shooting up lightning-fast to wrap around her wrist, a wordless threat sharpening in his eyes but he didn't tighten his grip on her wrist.

She jumps back, clearly startled by the sudden action and he lets her go.

"Sorry......" He mumbled under his breath, feeling bad as she rubbed her wrist.

She was just trying to help and he had startled her.

Probably even harming her.

He turns back to his painting.

"It's beautiful."

He turns to her.

"You really think so?" He asked.

She smiled at him.

"Of course, I do. It really is very beautiful." She said opening a little bit closer, not scared of him at all as if he didn't just hurt her.

Drew looked down.

"I think that you need someone to talk to." She stated as if it were a fact

Drew stared at her.

The girl was silent as she listened to him. Tears started to form and he blinked them away.

Boys don't cry.

"Hey. I know that it's not much from a stranger but sometimes you have to let out your emotions."

Drew covered his face.

The girl raised her arms to hug him.

"Hug it out."

Drew took it and hugged her as he cried.

It felt nice to cry and have a shoulder to cry on.

She patted his head as she closed her eyes.

What a tragedy this story of two friends are.
