Loguetown
The rumor of Luffy defeating Pirate Fleet Admiral Don Krieg easily as well as ex-marine Axe-Hand Morgan and pirate Kuro of a Hundred Plans spread through East Blue like wildfire.
Also added in the fact that he fought (???) Mihawk and survived.
He realizes that he is a man who is over three meters (?) with a lot of muscles (??) and a straw hat. He is able to rip off the enemy's head with his bare hands (???) and kill the enemy just by crossing their eyes (......).
(Rumors are sometimes twisted in very strange ways depending on the taste of the person telling them. No one knows how this latest rumor got out, but let's leave it a mystery.)
-Shishishishi! Looks like we're wanted men now!- Luffy showed his crew his wanted poster while grinning.

Reward: 80,000,000 bellies.
On the poster was a photo of Luffy taken from behind. You could only see his straw hat and his hair blowing in the wind.
No one had any idea when this photo was taken, but that wasn't the point now.
-It says 80 million bellies!-
-Wow! That's a lot of money!- Nami commented, her eyes with belly symbols.
The three boys celebrate this until Zoro spots something in the distance.
-Hey, I see an island up ahead.-
-You do...?- Nami snapped out of her daydream of how many dresses she could buy if she handed Luffy over to the Marines and looked over at Zoro.- That island, is proof that we're close to the Gran Line! On that island, there's a famous town called "Loguetown". It's also known as the town of the beginning and the end. It's the birthplace of the Pirate King Roger... As well as his execution spot.-
-So that's the town that the Roger died at... Natsu-nii and Zeref-nii told me about what happened that day... They witnessed him show one last middle finger to the World Government and his life ended when the swords of the executioners fell... He was an amazing man and I plan to surpass him one day.-
-Wait, your older brothers were there? At Roger's execution?- Nami asked with her mouth wide open.
-Of course. After all, they wanted to see his captain one last time before he ends his life.-
-Hold on a second... Roger... Captain of your older brothers!!??-
-Yeah. Didn't I tell you?- Luffy cocked his head in confusion.

-Natsu-nii and Zeref-nii boarded Oro Jackson when they were around 4 years old and became cabin boys. The Roger Pirates disbanded when they were eight, after finding the One Piece and later the execution occurred.- Luffy summed up with a bump on his head.
-Your family is getting crazier...- Nami commented remembering Ace, Sabo and the Red Heart pirates.
-Why did the Roger Pirates disband? Why didn't they save Roger?- Zoro asked out of curiosity.
-... Roger was sick. A disease that no one could cure. Instead of waiting for his imminent death, he chose to be executed.-
Everyone was shocked at such a revelation.
-I... Didn't expect that.-
-Incredible.-
-He's an amazing man.-
-I agree with you.-
-Ah, but don't tell the others! Natsu-nii and Zeref-nii decided to keep this a secret so the World Government doesn't bother them!- Luffy added.
-Of course.-

Rouge looked at Luffy's bounty.
-Not bad... To be from East Blue, the Blue considered the weakest of all.- Rouge said cleaning a glass next to Makino.
-Well, to be the weakest Blue of all, great men came out.- Natsu commented entering the bar with Zeref.- Yo! Rouge, Makino!-
-Welcome, Natsu, Zeref!-
Natsu and Zeref sat down in front of the bar and ordered beer.
-Stop celebrating, you fools! Just what's there to be happy about having a criminal come from our village!?-
-Good morning Woop Slap!- Natsu greeted taking a sip to his booze.
-You have to call me mayor!-
-Sure, Woop Slap!-
-Stupid brat!- Woop Slap sat down on one of the chairs and Rouge put down a glass of beer.- Damn it!-
-It is his dream, afterall. Are you worried...?- Makino asked.
-Is it his dream... Or his fate...?-
-Who knows... Maybe a bit of both.- Zeref said with a smile and slightly blushing from ingesting alcohol.
-From the moment when Shanks gave him that hat, fate was already sealed... The new king has been crowned and the world will kneel before him.- Natsu said smiling.- The world will change.-
Woop Slap snorted at this statement, but did not comment on it.
He doesn't know if that change will be good or bad... Only time will tell.

Luffy slowly walked over and touched one of the platform's legs. Suddenly he saw a man sitting on the platform. He has a curved black mustache, a fierce grin and intense eyes. He wore a long red captain's coat, a blue shirt and a yellow sash around his waist.
Only one name appeared in Luffy's head.
-Roger...- Luffy muttered staring directly at the man.
-So you're the next... Do you want to know where One Piece is located? Do you want me to tell you where it is?-
-Nope. Don't wanna.-
-Oh, and why is that?-
-That would be cheating! I want to find One Piece on my own!- Luffy threw his fists into the air.
-Nahahahaha!! I like you, boy!!! Find it. Find my treasure and become the new king!!!-
-Shishishishi! I will do it! You don't need to tell me, old man!!!- Luffy stuck out his tongue.
-Nahahahahahahaha!!!- Roger just laughed and little by little began to fade.- I'll be waiting for that day!-
Luffy climbed to the top of the platform under the watchful eyes of all the people who passed by nearby.
-I, Monkey D. Luffy, will be the next King of the Pirates!!!- Luffy shouted as loud as possible.
There, the former king passed away.
There, the new king announced his coronation.
The whole world will witness how a new era will begin with a new king.
