the two walked into the door of matt’s home. ell took off her coat nervously, but was bumped into by a man in red. the two fell to the floor. the man smiled at ell, and she backed away, obviously still terrified of being around vampires. matt helped her up off the ground. ell clung to matt’s side. he could sense her nervousness.

“tord! this is ell..” matt said. tord looked down at ell, now seeing that this was a human girl. the man in red smirked down at ell, and she yelped when tord snapped the end of her shirt sleeve. “so, you brought a snack home, huh?” tord said, before matt snatched ell away quickly.

“no! she’s not a snack! she’s my.. girlfriend…” matt said. ell had already slipped away to go talk to the skinny blonde boy making lunch in the kitchen. tord leaned in close to matt, whispering in his ear. “so you’re not going to eat her?” tord said. matt frowned and shook his head no. tord laughed a bit. what a wuss, he thought. tord was never down with the whole “let’s feed off of animal blood now!” thing from edd.

“you’re going to give in eventually, you know that? no vampire can resist human blood..” tord said, going to slip of to flirting his boyfriend, edd. now matt saw why ell was terrified. some vampires are just.. assholes.
