Pansy earned many weird glares running through the halls of Hogwarts, but all she could think about was reaching the bathroom before Cho would decide she didn’t need a Slytherin’s help. Shortly after she reached the door and burst through it. Sure, enough there Cho was sitting, completely drenched and tears running down her pale cheeks. Pansy closed the door softly and quickly walked over to the girl, kneeling and wrapping her up in a warm hug. She let her cry into her shoulder and didn’t press her to explain. “You are going to catch a serious cold if we don’t get you some dry clothes and a warm blanket.” Pansy chuckled. Cho had almost calmed down completely and pulled back. Through teary eyes, she let out a small laugh. “I totally got you all wet as well. God, I’m so pathetic.” Pansy frowned at her last sentence and was quick to disagree. She offered Cho to come back to her dorm and stay with her and Blaise for the night. She agreed, not wanting to be left alone with her thoughts. While Cho was in the shower Pansy laid out some of her own clothes for her and a weighted blanket for her to use. She wasn’t sure if Cho’s friends knew where she was and decided that they would probably be less concerned if they knew she was alright and not alone.

Pansy put her phone to the side. She was still utterly confused about what was going on. She assumed it had something to do with Cedric because of what Cho’s Instagram caption said. She didn’t really get how Harry played into all of this. Just then Cho knocked on the bathroom door. Quickly pansy stood up and walked over to hand her the pieces of clothing. Not long after Cho exited the bathroom. She looked exhausted. “Do you want to talk about it”, pansy asked carefully. Cho silently nodded her head and took the spot on the bed next to Pansy. She started explaining the conversation she had with Harry about dating. She explained that Harry probably didn’t know what he triggered but Cho had been questioning why she couldn’t move on all this time. She also explained that her last attempt at a relationship not too long ago with quidditch player Oliver Wood ended terribly because Cho couldn’t accept her own happiness in a relationship. She intentionally hurt Oliver so he would eventually break up with her as a result and she just could not do that to another person.
Pansy was positively amazed that Cho trusted her enough to confide in her. “I texted the group chat that you are here and that you are alright. I hope that is fine with you. Naturally, Hermione wasn’t too happy with it, but she’ll live.” Cho replied with a sincere thank you. Pansy then explained what Harry had told her to say and Cho showed Pansy the messages he had sent to her. Cho stared at the messages absentmindedly. “It isn’t his fault” she whispered. Pansy could tell she wanted to let Harry know she accepted his apology but couldn’t find the strength in herself to text him.
“Do you want me to take care of it for you?”
“Yes please”
Soon after Cho was in a deep slumber and Pansy instructed Blaise to watch over her a little bit while she went to the common room to figure the mess of a situation out.
