These Guys are stange
When Ottie awoke, the lights were still off in the daycare. See naptime was usually about 2 hours long and Ottie slept roughly 45 minutes, and since she fell asleep about 15 minutes into naptime, the daycare would be dark and run by Moon for about another hour. Of course, Ottie knew none of this. She rubbed her eyes then got up to go and try to find Moon. When she stood up, she looked around briefly but didn't see him anywhere, so she carefully stepped around all the bodies of the sleeping children to go look elsewhere.
"Mr. Moon?" She said aloud to the daycare rather quietly as to not wake the other sleeping children.
"Yes?" he said seemingly popping out of nowhere behind poor little Ottie."
"AAHH" She screamed but quickly covered her mouth with her hand.
"I'm sorry I did not mean to scare you Ottie" he told her apologetically "But do try to keep it down"
"Yeah, sorry"
"Did you need something" He asked her, reminding her of why she came over here in the first place.
"No, I just woke up and went to see what you were doing" She replied sheepishly.
"I'm just cleaning up some stuff and getting everything ready for when all the children wake up." He told her gesturing to all the different toys scattered throughout the daycare.
"Oh well, can I help, I'm bored" she said, her attention span running low.
"Are you sure, you don't have to help" he asked her a bit confused that a child wanted to help clean up. Ottie just nodded her head. "Alright then follow me" he told her as he started to walk away from where they were standing. Ottie followed him trying her best not to trip over her onesie, which didn't go unnoticed by Moon.
"How about you go change back into your clothes, then you can come and help me" He asked, not wanting her to trip and get hurt.
"Ok" Without another word she walked to where she had put her clothes, which was near where she was sleeping and walked to the bathroom.
After she was all changed, she headed out of the bathroom with the onesie in her arms to find Moon again.
"What do I do with this?" She asked holding out the cloth to him.
"I'll take it so you can use it again tomorrow" She gave him the pajamas and he put them off to the side to put them away later.
They finished their cleaning just a few minutes before the lights were set to come on. "Alright Ottie, that seems to be all of it."
"What do we do now"
"Well, I'm not doing anything, but you can go play in just a few minutes."
"Huh" She asked him puzzled by his words once again.
"Remember I told you Sun and I take turns working? Well in just a minute the lights will turn on and naptime will be over." And just as he said that the lights did just that, they turned on. Then Ottie saw what she was pretty sure was the strangest thing ever, when the lights turned on sun appeared just like moon said he would but instead of Moon leaving and Sun entering from another room, Moon had morphed into Sun when the lights came on.
"Hi Ottie!" were Sun's first words after coming back. Ottie just looked at him still confused at what just happened. " Is something wrong?" He asked her with a hint of concern in his voice. "ohhh that makes sense" he said after a few seconds, seemingly responding to a voice that was not there, at least not to everyone else. "You're confused and about the whole transformation situation, right? Well-" he continued without giving her a chance to answer "-We take turns as Moon said but we also share the same body, so when the lights are on, I'm in control and we look like me, and when the lights go off moon is in control, and we look like him. You get it?"
"I think so" She responded still a bit confused but seeming to understand it enough. "Wait where does Moon go when it's your turn to be out?"
"He doesn't go anywhere, he still in here just not moving the body" he told her energetically.
"Can he talk to you?" She asked more curious than confused now.
"Yep! And he can hear me when he's out" he told her "And as much as I would like to tell you more Ottie, I do have to tend to all of the children, so why don't we go over there" he pointed to where few children were still sleeping, and most were starting to stir.
"Yeah ok" she said as she grabbed his hand and they walked over to the other children,
