Chapter 5
Run
Run was all that bluey thought about as she ran home, just wanting to escape the real world and enter her safe and cozy world, aka her bed. After a few more minutes of running, she finally made it to her house. she ran straight to her room, not even stopping to answer her concerned mother’s questions. Slamming her door shut, she immediately curls up in her bed and starts to cry harder than she has ever cried. was everything Coco said true? Could Mackenzie do better than her?

The boys continued their search for bluey, hoping to find something that would lead them to her soon.
“Where could she be!” Mackenzie said frantically, trying not to let the stress of the situation get to him. He felt bad for bluey. She shouldn’t have had to listen to those awful things Coco said about her. They were a total lie! Bluey was the prettiest, caring, loving girl he had ever meet!
“Hey mate, you okay?” Rusty said as he watched Mackenzie pace back and forth, worried for his friend
“I know this can be stressful-“
“Its not just stressful! Its fucking annoying! Is coco just stayed away and didn’t say anything none of this would be happening!” Mackenzie finally snapped, turning to the two boys. He was on the verge of tears at this point, he just wanted to hold her and make her feel better.
“Oh Kenzie” jack said as him and rusty brought him into a hug. Mackenzie broke down and started to cry when the hugged him
“I must be the worst boyfriend ever” mackenzie said in-between sobs, that sentence was the last straw for jack. He turned around and grabbed Mackenzie my the shoulders and got right in his face
“Stop! Just stop! Your not a bad boyfriend! you couldn’t control what happened earlier with that bitch! She was just being a petty bitch who wanted to make bluey sad, and sadly she succeed. But that isn’t the point, your not a bad boyfriend so don’t destroy your self over that. Okay?” Jack said, loosening his grip on Mackenzies shoulders, who was shocked at jacks sudden outburst. Mackenzie wrapped him arms around jack and pulled him into a hug, which surprised jack but he gladly returned the hug
“Thank you jack” Mackenzie said, pulling him self out of their hug and giving him a reassuring smile. Just as they were about to continue their search for the blue heeler, Mackenzies ringtone went off scaring the group
“What the hell?” Mackenzie said, kinda hoping it was bluey. He picked it up to see that chilli was calling
“Oh shit” rusty said, now a little scared that chilli will rip into them for losing her daughter in the city. Mackenzie took a deep breath in before answering the phone
“Hey chilli! What’s up?” He said, trying his best to not sound nervous
“Why the hell is bluey here and crying!!” Chilli yelled through the phone, causing the boys to cringe
“We ran into coco, she was a bitch to bluey and said some pretty awful stuff to bluey. She also said how bluey wasn’t good enough for Mackenzie. Which caused bluey to start to cry and run off” jack explained trying to call down chilli, which worked really well
“Oh my god… ill have to have a talk with cocos mom” chilli said, now less angry. They could hear a sigh on the other side of the phone
“Okay, Mackenzie I need you to come here and please help bluey, she ran right past me and straight to her room. She has been crying ever since she got home, she needs you right now” chilli said, which caused Mackenzie to blush
“Okay chilli” Mackenzie said, just as he was about to take off, chilli started to speak again
“Rusty, jack, I need you two to be ready to come by when she’s better, okay?” She said, hoping the two heard her
“Of course chilli! What kind of friends would we be to leave her like that after” jack said, reassuring chilly
“Thank you boys” chilli said wearing a proud smile, she was glad she had jack and rusty as her friends. She was even more glad that Mackenzie was her boyfriend, her true love

Mackenzie came to a halt in front of the heelers house. He took a step out of his car and prepared for what was about to happen. taking a deep breath, he made his way up to the front door and knocked on the door, now waiting for someone to open the door. A few seconds later, the door opened to reveal chilli standing there looking stressed out of her mind. He couldn’t Blame her, her eldest daughter was just made fun of and basically shamed for no reason what so ever
“Please fill me in on what happened. I. Want. Everything.” Chilli said, scaring Mackenzie a bit
“Okay, but I do have to warn you, its not pretty” Mackenzie said coming inside the house so they could sit down
“I don’t care, I need to know what happened so I can understand this all a little bit better” she said giving Mackenzie the okay to start. He took a deep breath, and started to tell her everything
After 30 minutes of explaining everything and watching chillis mood change from happy, to laughing, to shock, then to anger, an anger he has never seen from her and to be honest, he was scared
“Mackenzie…”
“Y-yes chilli?”
“Go help bluey cheer up, I have a very important call to make” chilli said with such a tone Mackenzie thought he was going to die if he said one wrong thing
“Of course!” He said jumping up from his seat, making his way to blueys door. He reached her door and gave it a knock to see if she would respond. she didn’t, which he expected so he quietly and slowly opened her door trying his best to not scare her
“Bluey?” Mackenzie said, looking his head into her room. He found her after a few seconds of searching and boy did his heart hurt seeing her curled up the way She was crying
“Babe? Are you okay?” He said, resisting the urge to slam his palm into his hand when he asked her if she was okay, which she clearly wasn’t. Blueys ears immediately when she heard Mackenzies voice.
“Mackenzie?’ She asked as she propped herself up to look at him.”W-what are you doing here?” she sounded broken and hurt
“I came to see you silly” he said, trying to lighten the mood
“Plus I want to see your pretty face” he had sat down next to her and placed his paw over hers, giving her a smile that made her feel safe
“Its not because my mom sent you in here?” The blue heeler said, wearing a sly smirk
“Well, yes and no. yes, chilli did ask me to try and cheer you up, and no because I wanted to help you feel better myself and tell you that everything that bitch named coco said was a lie. You are the most clever, beautiful, pretty, amazing, special girl I have ever meet. I’m going to be completely honest, I wouldn’t pick anyone over you, I want you as my girlfriend” Mackenzie said looking right onto blueys eyes. Bluey, for the third time that day started to cry, tears of happiness this time.
“Oh Mackenzie…” bluey said hugging the border collie as she placed her face into his neck and cried. Mackenzie hugged her back, wishing to never leave the embrace. They stayed like this for what felt like hours until bluey suddenly pulled away and looked away from Mackenzie
“What’s wrong babe?” Mackenzie asked confused and concerned
“What if she’s right though? What if you could do better then me?” Bluey said, moving and looking away from Mackenzie. Mackenzie on the other hand was shocked and pissed
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Mackenzie said, getting up and staring straight at bluey, who was shocked and scared. She has never seen Mackenzie like this. earlier today he was mad, but this was a whole new level for the border collie
“Are you fucking serious right now? Do you hear your self?! Why the fuck would coco be right?! I can’t do better then you because your the best I can get! Does everyone really think I can pull any girl I want?! Even if I could I would reject them all cause I have had my eyes on one girl since we were both 6! That girl is you bluey! I’ve wanted to be your boyfriend ever since we both went to glasshouse! I love you damn it!” He finally snapped. sure he was crying but he didn’t care, he had to get his point across that he couldn’t do better then her, she was the best he could do
“Do you know how many days and nights I spent cry because I thought I wouldn’t get a chance to be with you?! I love you! I love you so much to the point it hurts! I… I don’t know what I would do without you bluey, I’m head over heels for you and to be honest the day we break up will be the worst day of my life. I don’t want that day to come though! I hope it never comes! im not going to let some entitled, stuck up, bitchy, asshole named coco ruin it!” He was balling at this point. bluey was shocked, she was also crying. She started to realize that everything coco said was in fact, not true. It hurt her when she realized all she was doing was hurting Mackenzie, her boyfriend
“Mackenzie I… I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt you like this! I never thought you felt the same as I did! I always thought you had your eyes on coco or Chloe or indy even!” Bluey said, also balling her eyes out and regretting all the pain she accidentally put Mackenzie through
“Why would I want to be with those three?! Coco has always been a bitch! Chloe has had a thing for snickers! And indy is aroace, she doesn’t even want a partner! Besides I love you and only you!” He said, breathing hard and looking at bluey who also was breathing hard
“Babe… I love you no matter what. No matter what some bitch says about you not being good enough, which you are better than good, I will always love you. I could care less about how people see us, as long as im with you im happy” Mackenzie said, taking a deep breath, he felt bad for yelling at her but he needed to get his point across to her
“Kenzie…” bluey said, she didn’t know what to say, she was shocked. Mackenzie just stared at her, smiling
“I. . .Mackenzie. . .I love you too, I love you so fucking much” bluey said as she threw herself at him crying tears of happiness once more. Mackenzie instantly pulled her into a hug, kissing her after they held the hug for a few seconds. Bluey immediately returned to kiss, never wanting to leave the kiss or his embrace ever again. sadly all good things come to an end as the two lovers parted for air, panting slightly
“Sooooo…how are you feeling now?” Mackenzie asked laughing, which bluey slowly joined in shortly afterwards
“Better now that we got all of that out of the way” bluey said sighing softly as she placed her head on he chest. “ I do have on thing to say tho” she said now fully relaxing for the first time in about 2 hours
“Oh yeah? What is it?” Mackenzie asked placing his chin on the top of her head, which was easy for him to do since she was only 2 inches shorter then him
“Fuck that bitch” she said looking up at him with a smirk on her face. Mackenzie laughed as bluey soon joined in shortly after
“I love you bluey” Mackenzie said, looking at the blue heeler he gets to call his girlfriend
“I love you too kenzie” bluey said, looking up at the border collie she gets to call her boyfriend
The two leaned in and share a kiss that one could only describe as true love. Everything was going back to normal before the whole coco scene happened
