14 Day OTP Challenge

Summary
I challenged myself to write about 14 of my different OTPs to get myself writing again.    Want to do the challenge yourself? Just think of 14 couples you ship (may repeat a few if you can't think of enough) and write a drabble, about 1,000-4,000 words each. Then every day for two weeks post your ficlet about your ship!
Note
Of course the first couple I had to write about was my ultimate OTP! Seblaine! This one is just a little drabble about if Blaine would have transferred back to Dalton Academy during his senior year (WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE). I hope you enjoy!

Homecoming - Seblaine

Blaine’s feet dragged as he carried the bag slung over his shoulder to his new dorm room. To say Blaine had mixed feelings about returning to Dalton Academy was an understatement. Dalton was his home, yes. But he never imagined that his return to the Warblers would be because of the end of his first relationship. Blaine had gotten over Kurt by now, for the most part, but being at McKinley was just being surrounded daily by Kurt’s best friends and former teachers. Blaine’s real friends were at Dalton; he had just forgotten that for a little while. But when he had made the announcement of his return, he was welcomed with open arms and cheers of excitement. He had missed his friends. He had missed the harder classes, the challenge. He had missed the beautiful campus with majestic chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and paintings lining the halls. He had missed the brilliant teachers who could engage the students on even the most boring of subjects. He had missed being home.

But the part Blaine wasn’t entirely thrilled about was the prospect of being stuck with a jerk for a roommate. Someone who had possibly heard about Blaine from the Warblers and had already made up his mind that he didn’t like the former lead Warbler. Or worse, he could have a roommate like that Hunter guy who was so controlling that Blaine would be afraid to leave a stray sock on the floor or he might get reamed out.

Blaine timidly put his hand on the doorknob to his room for his senior year. Room 305. He twisted the shiny gold knob and pushed the door open. Before he even stepped inside Blaine could hear the soft familiar notes of Maroon 5 playing from the dorm room and the smell of a very inviting cologne wafting out to him.

“Hello?” Blaine asked as he poked his head into the room.

The music cut off and Blaine could hear the squeak of mattress springs coming from behind the door he was currently pushing open. Once he had the door open, Blaine’s stomach did a weird flip, nothing like he’s ever felt before. He isn’t sure if his stomach is flipping with joy or dropping in surprise.

“Blaine!” Sebastian greeted, throwing Blaine that 100-watt smile of his.

“Sebastian, hey,” Blaine said with a grin. He dropped his bag and pulled Sebastian into a one armed hug. It was a relief, really, that Sebastian was his roommate. It got rid of any awkwardness that came along with first getting to know your roommate. It would be a little awkward, Blaine thought to himself, since they were both obviously attracted to one another. Would that make for awkward glances when one another were changing? Or maybe Sebastian’s tastes had changed and he didn’t find Blaine attractive anymore. Blaine felt pretty disheartened by that thought and he wasn’t entirely sure why.

“How’s it feel to be back home?” Sebastian asked.

“Like I’ve been on vacation for too long,” Blaine answered as he sat down on the bed across the room from Sebastian’s. “Home is good.”

“Well, I have no doubt that you can whip the Warblers back into shape,” Sebastian said.

“Yeah? Have they been slipping under your watch?” Blaine teased.

“Hey, I may be the best captain the Warblers have ever seen, but even I am no Blaine Anderson,” Sebastian said with a smirk.

Blaine could feel the tip of his ears tinge at Sebastian’s words.

“Ah, I almost forgot how smooth and charming Mr. Smythe is,” Blaine said.

“I’m almost offended then,” Sebastian said and feigned offense by putting his hand over his heart. “Sebastian Smythe is someone who is unforgettable.”

“You’ve got that right,” Blaine said with a chuckle.

Blaine used his leg to pull his bag over to his bed and he hoisted it up next to him on the bed.

“Need help unpacking?” Sebastian asked.

“Hmm? Oh, no, I’m good,” Blaine said. He noticed, as he said that, that Sebastian’s side of the room was already thoroughly set up, as if he had been staying here for quite some time already. “How long have you been here?”

“Five days,” Sebastian said, lounging across his bed. “If you need any help, just let me know.”

“I will,” Blaine said. Blaine unzipped his bag and began to take his things out. He wondered why Sebastian had come here so early before classes started up again. Most teenagers want to take advantage of every bit of summer they can before returning to school.

That night after dinner, after hours of catching up with his old buddies over taco night, Blaine and Sebastian returned to their room. Blaine was beat. He felt the exhaustion of the day washing over him as he finally crashed down on his bed.

“I didn’t want to ask,” Sebastian said, startling Blaine a little bit. Blaine looked over and saw Sebastian laying on his back on his bed, arms tucked underneath his head as he stared up at the ceiling. “But, what happened?”

Blaine didn’t need to ask what he was referring to. Most of the Warblers had asked over Facebook or text once it had happened, but never once did Sebastian ask.

“I cheated on him,” Blaine said quietly. Out of the corner of his eye, Blaine could see Sebastian’s head snap in Blaine’s direction.

“What?” Sebastian asked. “You?”

“Yeah, me,” Blaine said with a sigh. It was the first time he had ever put it so bluntly. Most of the time when people asked Blaine would just say that when Kurt moved to New York they drifted apart until they realized it wasn’t working out, and that he started spending time with someone else. It wasn’t untrue, it just wasn’t the whole truth. “He moved to New York, I felt neglected and lonely, and some guy wanted me to come over. He wasn’t even that cute, to be honest.”

“Wow,” Sebastian said. He turned his head to look back up at the ceiling.

“Yeah,” Blaine said and looked down at his lap. “Wow.”

“If only I had known it was that easy,” Sebastian said and Blaine looked up to see the other man smirking at him. “Just call you up and say I want you to come over.”

Blaine couldn’t help but let out a little laugh at Sebastian’s tone. Blaine had just told him the thing that he was most ashamed about in his life and not only was Sebastian not judging him, he was making light of the whole situation. It was a relief for Blaine.

“Kurt thought it was with you at first, actually. You were the first person that came to his mind,” Blaine said.

“Yeah?” Sebastian said. He was smiling and his eyebrows were raised. “He felt that threatened by me, huh?”

“Oh, you have no idea,” Blaine said with a breathless chuckle.

“I would’ve said no, by the way,” Sebastian said.

Blaine’s eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.

“I don’t know what you mean,” Blaine said.

“If it was me that you wanted to cheat with,” Sebastian clarified.

“Yeah?” Blaine asked.

“Mhmm,” Sebastian hummed in confirmation.

“And why’s that?” Blaine asked.

“Because then you’d regret it. When you’d think of being with me, you would feel ashamed and embarrassed because it would have been wrong. When you’re with me, I want you to feel the opposite of that. I want you to be happy and proud to be with me,” Sebastian said.

Blaine couldn’t help but smile at Sebastian’s words. Maybe that’s the same reason Blaine hadn’t called Sebastian when he was feeling lonely without Kurt. He didn’t want Sebastian to be that cheap replacement. Subconsciously, Blaine knew that Sebastian was worth more than that. But then Blaine’s mind caught up entirely with what his ears had just heard.

When I’m with you?” Blaine asked. His cheeks reddened and the corners of his mouth pulled up as he awaited Sebastian’s answer.

“Yeah, when,” Sebastian answered. “Did you actually think that you could come back to Dalton, single, share a room with me and not fall head over heels in love with me?”

Blaine let out a loud laugh and put his hands over his mouth. Sebastian grinned at Blaine’s reaction and Blaine couldn’t remember ever seeing Sebastian smile wider.

“I guess we’ll just have to see,” Blaine said with a teasing shrug of his shoulders.

“I guess so. Just let me know when the feelings surface,” Sebastian said as he sat up on his bed.

“And will you let me know when your feelings for me surface?” Blaine asked as he watched Sebastian walk towards the ensuite bathroom.

Sebastian looked at him, gave him a suggestive wink, then closed the bathroom door behind him.
