Sydney came home from school felling like shit. The school day had been boring and slow she had horrible lessons and Dina and Stan were both ill so she was also alone the whole day it had been a month since homecoming and since she killed Brad and a 2 weeks since she and Dina got together and for that reason She has never been happier thought she still has guilt for what happened she has also had she learnt how to control her powers and hopefully hurt no one else with the help of stan and Dina but sometimes she will lose control of them (often when she is very angry or annoyed) and that’s what happened today when she couldn’t get her maths work and her teacher started shouting at her for not understanding and her table started shaking and lights flicked once but luckily her teacher stopped when the light flicked and went to check on the power.
She walked home and decided to call Dina to see how she was and also ask to come over as she hadn’t seen her in a few days so she grabbed her phone and called Dina. When she answered syd was surprised to hear her sounding much better than the morning especially because she complained about her throat hurting and her voice sounded extremely bad this morning after a few minutes on the phone she asked if she could come over and Dina said yes so after a 5 minute walk to Dinas house she knocked and Dina opened it and threw her arms around Sydney bringing her into a tight hug as she also led them up to her room once her door was closed Dina asked syd about her day. Syd let out a huff of annoyance not at Dina of course but at the day as a whole Dina gave her a concerned look and Dina told her about her day
and the accidental use of her powers and she hadn’t released she was crying until Dina came and wiped a tear off her cheek and the touch made her flustered, Dina laughed at this and pulled syd into her arms and kissed her once they pulled away from the kiss both there cheeks were red and they were both smiling Dina pulled away and climbed into her bed and signalled for Sydney to follow and they got into a comfy position with there legs tangled together and Sydney face on dinas chest while Dina ran her fingers through Sydney’s hair that was the first night in weeks that syd slept the full night.
The next morning Dina woke up first and carefully go out of bed not to wake up syd and started making breakfast as she was plating up the eggs and bacon syd came downstairs and ran to Dina kissing her passionately for a few seconds before seeing the food and bringing it to the table for them along with drinks. They ate while talking about what they wanted to do for the day and ended up going to the park for a few hours going on the swings and skateboarding and getting high with Stan the rest of the day when they went back to dinas they fell asleep holding each other again and syd felt truly happy for the first time in a while that day.
