Scott x Logan
“I hate seeing you do this to yourself, slim.”
It’s been three days and Scott only slept for four hours in total. Scott sat at his desk, the desk lamp shining over the papers of mutant students’ math tests. Scott sucked in his breath when Logan spoke.
He rested his pencil next on top of the test.
“I’m sorry,” Scott replied.
“Is that all you can say?” Logan sneered.
Scott stared at the test. The student’s handwriting was messy, barely even legible.
“Slim.” The word came out like a growl. It pierced through Scott and knocked him out of his thoughts.
“I…don't want to bother you.”
“Sl-Scott, we’re dating. We’re supposed to bother each other with dumb shit,” Logan pointed out. He moved closer to Scott, the latter’s body tensing.
Scott nodded. He cleared his voice and spoke, “You know, my past always comes back to bite me.”
“Scott, we both got complicated pasts. That shouldn’t affect us.” Logan stopped Scott’s shaking hand, causing Scott to flinch. Logan frowned. “He can’t bother ya no more. He’s gone.”
Scott swallowed and closed his eyes. ‘Sinister…’
“I know, but he’s been appearing in my dreams lately. I can’t sleep without seeing him,” Scott explained, reopening his eyes.
Scott looked to Logan. He noticed the man’s tighten jaw.
Logan gave Scott’s hand a slight squeeze. “He can’t hurt ya no more. If he does, I’ll make him regret.”
Scott squeezed back. He doesn’t say anything, but he knew that Logan knew that Scott appreciated him. Scott sighed, hoping the thoughts of Sinister will leave his mind eventually.
