Scott x Kurt
“I’m fine,” Scott whispered in the dark.
Kurt had found Scott cowering in the corner of his room. Xavier had wanted Kurt to look for Scott as Scott had ignored all of Xavier’s telepathic reach. Instead of bamfing to Scott’s room, Kurt decided to enter the normal way.
“You don’t look fine,” Kurt replied, slowly closing the door behind him, the light from the hallway slowly disappearing inside the room.
“I...”
“Should I turn on the light?”
“No, don’t,” Scott begged.
Kurt’s first instinct was to go to his boyfriend. He watched his steps through the dark until he saw a visible outline of Scott.
“Scott, what happened?” Kurt asked as he sat next to Scott.
“I…” his voice trailed off. In the dark, Kurt could see Scott shaking. “I don’t...want to...”
“That’s okay. Is there anything I can do?”
“Stay,” Scott choked out. “I don’t want to be alone right now.”
Kurt understood and allowed Scott to rest his head on Kurt’s shoulder. Kurt wasn't sure what was going on with Scott. He knew Scott had faced many hardships in his life, but Scott has only vaguely discussed it with Kurt. Whatever happened, Kurt knew he was going to stay by Scott's side no matter what.
