Chapter 36
Anthony taps his foot on the floor nervously and impatiently. He's not sure how much time has passed since Sebastian went into labor, but it's been quite awhile. He thinks it might've been about two or three hours now, give or take. He knows that labor can take some time, but he can't stop the nagging fear in the back of his mind that something might be going wrong in there.
Sebastian may not be his omega, but he truly cares for the guy, and would hate for anything bad to happen to him.
He knows it's not going to happen, but he can't help but worry something might go wrong, and Sebastian and both twins may die during childbirth. It may not happen often anymore - or at least not publicized (not like that would really be publicized anyway) - but it still does happen, and he hates to think that it may happen.
Although, he's probably being paranoid and nothing bad will happen. Sebastian is the strongest omega he knows, he will get through it and both twins will be strong and healthy.
They just have to.
Yeah, he's almost certain that he's just being paranoid. If anything is going wrong in there, he's sure someone would've come out by now and told them.
It doesn't stop him from worrying though, and his worry won't be likely to disappear until he hears that the twins are born, and Sebastian is fine.
"Anthony!"
He looks up at the sound of his name being called out, to find Scarlett and her boyfriend, Jeremy running towards him.
He had called her only fifteen minutes ago, telling her to get her ass down to the hospital because Sebastian has gone into labor. He's almost certain that if he hadn't called her to inform her, she'd kick his ass, and he doesn't fancy getting his ass kicked today.
"We came as soon as you called." Scarlett says. "Do you know what's happening in there?"
Anthony shakes his head. "No, but I can guess."
Even though he can guess what's happening, he doesn't particularly like to think about it. The whole concept of childbirth kind of freaks him out a little. He's sure glad he's not an omega, he's not certain he'd be able to go through childbirth. He's no idea how Sebastian does it.
Though that's not to say that he doesn't want to have kids one day when he meets the right person. But he's happy being single for now, and being the uncle-slash-godfather to Sebastian and Chris's kids. He's still got plenty of time to start a family of his own. He's in no hurry.
Scarlett nods. "Well I hope nothing goes wrong in there." She says, as she and Jeremy take a seat to wait it out. "How long have they been in there?"
Anthony looks down at his watch, shrugging. "A couple hours at least."
"Hopefully it doesn't take much longer." Scarlett says, looking around. "Then again... he's having twins."
"I'm sure everything is going fine in there." Jeremy says, wrapping an arm around Scarlett's shoulders. "Omegas are made for this are they not? Sebastian will be fine."
"I know." Anthony sighs, shaking his head. "Doesn't mean I don't worry."
He looks up down the hall as he sees Sebastian's mother making her way back towards them. She had gone off o get a coffee from the hospital's cafe not too long before Scarlett and Jeremy got here. Anthony had offered to go get one for her, but she declined, saying that she needs to stretch her legs anyway.
"Any news yet?" She asks, taking her seat next to Anthony.
"Not yet." Anthony sighs. "And since it's twins, I feel like we'll be waiting for awhile yet."
Even though he knows that it'll likely take awhile - and labor can take hours - he hopes that it doesn't take too much longer. He's not sure that they can all wait much longer.

"Come on, Sebastian, only one more push and the first one will be out." Sebastian's midwife, Elizabeth says, encouraging him to push.
But fuck does it hurt. The one part of pregnancy that Sebastian doesn't enjoy for sure is going into labor, and going through childbirth. It may be all worth it in the end, but fuck if he wishes he didn't have to go through it.
The fact that he's got to push out two babies instead of one definitely isn't helping the pain any less. If anything, it's making it a hell of a lot worse and tiring him out a lot faster. Not to mention they've been at it for what feels like forever now.
Gripping onto Chris's hand - and hopefully not breaking it, but at this point Sebastian doesn't find himself caring - Sebastian gives it one more hard push. Hoping like hell that it is the last push needed to get this first baby out, and Elizabeth isn't just saying things.
And as he's washed over with a sense of relief as the first baby comes out, he falls back onto the bed, exhausted. The first baby - a little alpha boy - is out.
But it's not over yet. There's still one more to go, and thankfully, the second is the smaller one, their little omega boy. So with any luck, it won't take much to push him out.
"You're doing great, Seb." Chris says, squeezing his hand a little as Sebastian's grip loosens. "Our first little boy is out."
One out, one to go, and then they'll have their little boys here, and Chris cannot wait. Sebastian on the other hand, just wants it all to be over, and for Chris to shut up for now.
"Chris." Sebastian breathes, looking up at him. "Shut the fuck up."
He doesn't fancy hearing Chris's voice right now. Just knowing that he's right next to him is enough for now. It's all he feels he needs.
Truthfully, he wants to spend his few minutes of peace until the next twin comes out in silence. He's not entirely sure why, he just does. He and Chris can talk later once both twins are here anyway. And at the moment, he just wants to have it all over and done with.
He's exhausted, and he feels as though he could sleep for a million years once this is all over. So while he appreciates the peace he has right now with not having to push just yet to get the other twin out, he just wants to get the little boy out already and have this all done with.
Unfortunately, his moment of peace doesn't last for very long, as it's gone just like that as the familiar sensation of needing to push once more washes over him. The other twin is coming....
Thankfully though, this one is much easier to push out, and Sebastian is truly grateful for the fact that it doesn't take much for their second boy to come out. Just as he had hoped.
If only the first was just as easy....
"You did it, Seb." Chris says. "Our little boys are finally here."
Sebastian sighs, leaning back on the bed. It's over. The twins are finally here, and now he feels like he could sleep for an eternity. But before he can have any sort of rest, he wants to first see and hold his little boys for the first time.
And as the nurses are finished cleaning and weighing the twins, they're handing them to Sebastian, who takes them both in his arms carefully. And as soon as he sees his little boys, he tears up.
"They're perfect." He says, looking down at the pair of them in his arms.
Both of them are perfect. His perfect little boys, little Jack Rowan Evans, and Malcolm Tobias Evans. Though they've not yet decided who will get which name yet. He and Chris will figure that out soon.
For now though, he just wants to hold his little boys for as long as he can. He never wants to let them go, or let anything bad ever happen to them.
"I love you." Chris says, kissing the side of Sebastian's head.
Sebastian smiles, not taking his eyes off his little boys. "I love you too, Chris."
Finally, little Jack Rowan Evans, and Malcolm Tobias Evans are born at 7:39pm on November 30th 2018.

By the time Chris goes out into the hallway to talk to the others, Sebastian has fallen asleep, getting the much needed rest he deserves, and the twins are both asleep in their bassinets. Which gives him the perfect opportunity to fill Sebastian's mother and Anthony in on the good news.
And as soon as he exits the room, he's met with Anthony jumping off his chair and rushing over to him. Georgeta gets up too, but she doesn't rush over. Chris guesses that she may be a little jet lagged and tired from her flight still. Especially when they went straight to the hospital after leaving the airport.
Chris also notices that their little group has acquired two new members. It seems that Scarlett and Jeremy have turned up. He's not sure when though, and he guesses that Anthony had called Scarlett and filled her in on what's happening.
"How'd it go?" Anthony asks. Both eager and a little worried to hear the news.
"Two beautiful healthy baby boys." Chris says. "An alpha and an omega." He adds. "Sebastian is resting now, and the twins are asleep, so if you want to see them, please be as quiet as you possibly can. I'd hate for any of them to wake up just yet."
They all nod in understanding, and Chris lets them into Sebasrian's room, where they gather around the twin's bassinets, being careful not to wake them. They don't need the twins waking up just yet. Not when they've only just fallen asleep after Sebastian had fed them for the first time.
"Oh, they're gorgeous." Gerogeta says, tearing up. "Ah, I have two grandsons now."
"They're adorable!" Scarlett says, before looking up at Chris. "What are their names?"
"We decided on Jack Rowan Evans, and Malcolm Tobias Evans." Chris says. "But we've not yet figured out who gets which name."
He and Sebastain will have to have a talk about that once he wakes. He doesn't want to make any decisions about it without Sebastian. And it's likely that Sebastin feels the same way.
"Well done, man." Anthony says, patting Chris on the back. "You and Seb did good."
Chris smiles, looking over towards Sebastian. "Yeah." He says, looking back towards the twins. "I can't believe we finally have two little boys."
He still can't believe that he and Sebastian finally have two boys. They've always wanted to have at leat one boy, especially after three girls, and now that they've finally got two boys... Chris feels as though their little family is finally complete.
Though he's about eighty percent sure that later on down the line their family will have expanded more than it already has. Just... hopefully it's not going to be too soon. Maybe at least in five years time. Chris isn't sure that Sebastian can handle being pregnant again for awhile.
Of course, they've still got the idea of adopting a kid. Chris isn't too sure on where Sebastian stands on that matter at present. He himself is still a little undecided. Mostly because of all the time and money that goes into the adoption process, but he's not totally against it.
He supposes that adopting if they decide to have another kid down the line will be much easier on Sebastian. Considering he won't have to go through nine months of pregnancy, and Chris knows that Sebastian isn't exactly so keen on the whole process of pregnancy. Even despite going through it four times already. It's a sacrifice he must endure in order for them to have kids.
But it's much too early to be thinking about that just yet. Especially when Sebastian only just gave birth to the twins. They've got plenty of time to talk about out later on. Right now, they need to worry about the kids they do have.
He'll have to call Laura soon and ask her to either drop the girls off here, or see if it's at all possible if she could watch them for the rest of the night, since it is starting to get late. He's sure she won't mind, though she still lives with her parents, so that might be a little difficult on her parents having three extra kids in the house for the night when they've already got a full house . He'll have to work something out when he calls her soon.
He'll also have to call his parents and tell them to news too. But that can wait a few more minutes.
For now however, all he wants to do is stare fondly at his and Sebastian's two little boys. Their little boys that they've always wanted, and now they finally have after three girls.
