Columbia, I Love You So Much

Chapter 6 - Columbia, I Love You So Much

The villagers were started to approach the house, plenty of people already getting into the spirit of things. A man was lighting sparklers and giving them to the kids, getting thanks for it. People laughing and talking and holding each other close. The band at the Madrigal household was even getting warmed up with a song to get everyone arriving in a partying mood, the male singer providing the lyrics. In Spanish, of course.

Party night. Everyone’s coming to celebrate. Everyone’s coming to have fun. Keep dancing. Happy in my paradise and revealing…

Angel and Ozzie were greeting people at the door, the latter more focused on who comes by riding on donkeys. The muscle-bound Madrigal finds Helsa on her delivery donkey and gives her a ticket. “Here you go! Don’t lose it!”

The delivery girl accepts it, knowing that this is how the Madrigals are keeping track of who owns which donkey. The same interaction occurs when the muscle-bound Madrigal gave another person a ticket.

Helsa didn’t think anything of it when Ozzie grabs her and carries her off of her donkey, just walking inside the house once her feet touched the ground. Then the muscle-bound Madrigal lifted up that donkey, along with a cart with the animal still attached, and walked towards the corral where all the donkeys were being kept during the celebration.

Miracles on every floor. Enchantment. Enchantment. Columbia, I love you so much

Angel decided to personally greet the guests with their face, trying to find another use for his shapeshifting. Then at seeing a child on his father’s shoulders and another child walking alongside them, he gets an idea.

“Razzle! Up top! Dazzle! Down low!”

With a little jump, not much of a boost being needed given how tall he naturally is, Angel was up in the air looking like Razzle and had given the real Razzle a high five. Then the family shapeshifter turned into Dazzle and crouched down for that 'down-low'. Everything was all done in smooth motions.

I always fall in love with your enchantment. Whoa, oh, oh, oh…

Razzle and Dazzle were in wonder at seeing Vivienne greet him with moving tiles and such, even reaching out for them at the doorway.

Columbia, I love you so much. Whoa, oh, oh, oh…

Razzle looked up to see a window with the signature never-melting candle at its sill. Dazzle started begging their father for a turn up on his shoulders, which he soon got.

May you keep blessing your enchantment. Enchantment

Then the twins and their parents felt themselves being moved by Vivienne to a section of wall where she’s offering some tiles to act as hooks for people’s hats. Dazzle took his father’s hat as he was placed down on the floor again, before throwing the hat high up on the wall. The house caught it and made it swoosh down lower on the wall.

Opening doors, the morning is arriving

Elsewhere, Vivienne was moving the floor beneath a grill to help cook some corn. Some guests were around to help fan it and catch them on plates when the house deems them cooked well enough.

Ozzie walked through the place with a huge plate of sweets while a bunch of kids had climbed up on him. The muscle-bound Madrigal only looked back at them in mild bemusement, particularly at the caffeine-addicted girl who’s jittery like crazy.

Happy song so that good wins over bad. Don’t wake me up

Moxxie requested of his mother a sweet, who obliged and passed it to him. Although the dad of the little family got to touching up on his appearance, all the while the freckled blonde watched Verosika with a smitten gaze and dopey smile.

The flower-producing blonde was dancing in front of a small audience, creating flower petals from her hands as she moved. She created for a girl a flower crown, a woman a bouquet, and a man a beard of flowers for his face.

Columbia, I love you so much. Whoa, oh, oh, oh…

Two children were playing together until they came across the staircase that leads to the mystery door. They got curious about it and started going up. Of course, Vivienne wouldn’t let that happen and so turned the steps into a slide.

I always fall in love with your enchantment. Whoa, oh, oh, oh…

The kids were shocked in a slightly frightened kind of way. But then they got over it and thought that it was fun, climbing up the stairs for the intentions of sliding down again, which the house had no problems in doing for them.

Your charm continues to bless you. Columbia, I love you so much. Whoa, oh, oh, oh…
