Chapter-13

I rushed downstairs to tell Theo everything, but nobody was there.

I saw a man coming towards me. He wore a well-ironed tuxedo; it's probably the staff's uniform. I saw a lot of people wearing that since we entered the palace.

"Your lunch is ready, master."

"Where are my friends?"

"They're having lunch, as well. Both of them have not had anything for ages, looks like."

He said laughingly, but there was a hint of concern.

I followed the man to the dining area. It was in another building.

How could they eat when I could've been dead upstairs? Don't they have the slightest bit of worry? But it somehow made the situation seem less tense, but I will not tell them that.

As I entered the massive dining area, I could see them devouring the dishes in front of them. The table was approximately 15 feet long, yet an inch of its surface wasn't visible. There was A LOT of food.

"Sy, come and eat; it's finger-licking good."

"It's not KFC; it's some legit gourmet food. I could get used to this." Since we've come to Rychville, Caleb seemed the most relaxed now.

I went and sat next to Theo. I took two potato wedges on my plate and started nibbling on them.

"What did she say? What is she like, Madam Esmerelda?" Theo asked while putting a chicken wing on my plate.

"Try this falafel salad, too."

"She's nice. She seemed nice."

"Is she hot?"

Caleb asked while munching on what seemed like fish chips.

I could see the servers' eyes widen. They didn't like that.

"Well, I have my trial at 3:45. There's a lawyer who'd be my defendant."

"They're rich people with power; if they're on your side, you can relax."

Caleb had a point. I continued nibbling on my potato wedges.
