Finding Will(gaining another person to help)
Gilian arrived at the ward at midday which isn't bad for ranger speed but he needs to be there soon as possible so he needs to find this mysterious Will boy quickly which, he thought, shouldn't be much of a problem.
Gilian expected finding Will would be easy because he, a experienced(ish) ranger, versus a 14(almost 15) year old boy. That would be quick and easy right? Wrong. Gilian has spent 3 HOURS searching for Will and still nothing! It should be easier than this but noooo of course not because life loves making him work for everything.
"Why is he so hard to find!" grumbled Gilian under his breath, riding aimlessly in the village trying to find One.Singular.Boy. Blazing hearing her master's complaints snorted in agreement for she had been moving since morning with only a few short breaks for food and water. She was getting tired as it was now evening. Gilian has been searching for the boy since midday but no such luck in finding him. sighing he turned back around and started going to the nearest inn when a blonde haired girl stopped him.
"Excuse me sir, but it seems you've been trying to find something for hours now and still no luck. May I ask what you're looking for and how I may help?"
Gilian blinked is surprise for a few seconds before breaking out of the shock when she ask him again.
"Ah-Yes please. Do you know anyone name Will...? I was told to find him but as you can see no success in finding this boy"
The girl stiffen her posture in a defensive stance. "What do you want with Will" her eyes narrowing in suspicion of the stranger appearing up out of nowhere trying to find something on hours at end only to find out that this stranger, a ranger(by the looks of his cloak and the cowl drawn up hiding everything on his face except his mouth), nevertheless, saying that they need to find her friend,practically her little brother Will(in everything but blood), would of course make her guard rise up almost instantly in a protective way.
"So you do know of this Will?"
"Yes." She anwsered curtly, "Now tell me why you need to find him" she demanded after answering their question not wasting another second, jumping straight back into her interigation with this strange ranger, not allowing the ranger get another of their question in before answering hers first.
"My apologies...I'm looking for Will because of a reading of his future of some sort i guess? I'm still not entirely sure on my part still to be honest...hehe" Gilian replied, scratching his neck curiously and sheepishly.
The girl blinked.
What was she suppose to do with that information. Her first thought was that her little brother was going to find out(read?) his future? Her second thought was "that should be impossible..." but her third and most persistent thought was "no way in hell will I let Will go through this without me!" She looked up at the ranger and looked him up and down once with a calculating gaze making the ranger nervously shift in his saddle which in turn, made the mysterious ranger look more human.
"I don't know where he is exactly but I know the general area of where he could be at the moment." she informs the ranger turning to the direction where her friend usually is at this time of day
Gilian let out a breath of relief as he watch her lead the way to the wanted boy. He pondered what the boy would look like when he meets him. Would he have blue eyes and blonde hair, or would he have black hair with brown eyes? What about brown hair with green eyes? Would he have wavy , curly, or straight hair? Would he be kind? smart? energetic? Would he have a mischievous streak like himself? He mused what the boy could be only breaking out of his thinking when the girl started talking again.
"Will should be somewhere up ahead." she said as she jumped over a fallen branch with a bit of a stumble in the landing.
"Thanks" he replied before remembering a question, "Heyyyyy.....I never got your name by the way...What is it?"
The girl glanced back to him before returning her gaze forwards again.
"Alyss. My name is Alyss Mainwrang." Alyss gave out in a soft whisper.
"Nice to meet you Alyss"
She smiled softly, but where Gilian couldn't see of course. He didn't need to know she was starting to like him already now? That would throw away an advantage that she has over him.
