Summary
Basically:what if Kipo Oak, instead of growing up in a burrow, lived on the surface, with her dominant side being the jaguar?Find out:) Chapter titles yoinked from 'Family' by The Chainsmoker(ft. Kygo):)Will it have anything to do with the actual story? Maybe;]No, I seriously don't know I was looking at songs and thought 'Hey! this song might be a good title for that fic that I have no outline for!'I don’t even know what I’m doing with the story I’m literally just writing what comes to mind-I had the idea for it, wrote a prologue, and just started making random shit happen from there lmao
Note
if anyone wants to help me write this, that'd be great lol-this currently depends on my ability of not being good at sleeping and wether or not I'm busy lmaoAlso I don’t own the characters or show(except some ocs:3)Anyways here’s a prologue:D

I Know Water that's Thicker than Blood

Benson yelped as she tackled him to the ground. “What the heck?!”
Then he heard it.
“They’re here!” The voice was close, and his whole body went rigid at the sound of it.
“Hide!” Kipo hissed through gritted teeth, lunging at a hole in the side of the ditch wall.
Benson watched in horror as a mute landed in the spot he’d been standing before, glaring around at the group, his lips curving into a smile.

“Well, what have we here?” The frog turned to the younger girl.
“Jamack, where ARE you?!” A second voice rang, causing the mute to sigh.
“Over here, Harris, Kwat! I’ve found a team of humans.”
“We barely know these two!” Wolf exclaimed.
The frog—Jamack—shrugged, grabbing her wrist and tugging it. “Does it look like I care?”
Kipo yowled, leaping from her hiding soot and clamping her jaws shut around his arm.
He shrieked in pain, flailing his arm wildly as blood poured from the wound.
The pink girl was flung from his arm, colliding into the side of the ditch with a sickening crunch.

Benson watched as the younger girl ran over to her, and his mind raced with confusion.
He swore he could see pink fur sprouting across her skin, and her eyes rapidly becoming an unnatural pink.
He tried to call out, to speak, even to simply move, but nothing happened, nothing worked.
He was vaguely aware of voices, some he knew, some he didn’t-and the last thing he knew before blackness tainted his vision was a roar.

[Insert creative line break here]

The boy blinked, his mind blank as he slowly came to consciousness. His vision was blurry, but he was vaguely aware of the commotion going on around him. One thought echoed in his mind; What..what happened?

Sss

“Just give it up already, humans!” The frog shouted, clutching his bleeding arm as he staggered towards her. Kipo growled, taking a step towards him as fur began to sprout from her skin and her pupils began to dilate.
What she saw next pushed her over the edge.
There, over at the vehicle the mutes had, was the burly frog holding an unconscious Wolf.
Kipo narrowed her eyes to slits, arched her back threateningly, and leaped at Jamack.

Sss

He heard a thud beside him, and it took all his strength to turn his head to look. He inhaled sharply at the sight of a small girl lying beside him, eyes closed and breathing shallow. “Hey! Stay still, human!”
He froze, blue eyes darting from the girl to his captor. “Y-you’ll regret t-taking me! S-Scarlegmane-“ The frog cut him off, laughing.
“Oh, please, we saw that thing around your neck! Who do you think we’re bringing you to?”

Sss

Sinking her teeth into Jamack’s leg, she almost grinned at the taste of iron filling her mouth. He screeched in pain, stumbling back before falling onto the ground, a look of terror in his eyes.
She snarled, letting go of his leg and prowling around him on all fours. “A-are you even a human at all?!?” Kipo’s lips curled into a smile, showing off her fangs, which were splattered with red.

Her face elongated into a snout, and her fingers merged to make paws. Cat ears sprouted on her head, and soon, the frog mute was staring at a jaguar.
He closed his eyes, but just as Kipo was about to clamp her jaws down on his neck, a bloodcurdling scream erupted from the limousine.
Kipo froze, looking from Jamack to the vehicle, then growled and leaped off of him, racing for the car.
She tried to call out to Wolf, but all that came out were desperate growls and hisses.
She shoved the burly frog away, sending it tumbling into the ditch, and shoved her head into the vehicle, licking Wolf’s shoulder fondly.
“K-Kipo?”
