The lecture that got me a boyfriend
Sam fidgets with his hands picking at his nails as he waits for peter to say something. He finally looks up at peter whose just standing there with his arms crossed, Sam can feel the glare even under spidey's mask. Sam looks over at the rest of his team to see them also looking at peter, He is silent, It was... scary. Peter finally speaks "Guys, I need to talk with Sam... Alone." He says his voice is distant. They look at each other, and at Sam then back at Peter "Yeah uh, you got it webs" Luke says slowly walking away as the rest of the team does the same.
Sam looks at Peter as Peter takes off his mask, and Sam decides to do the same, They make eye contact with one another Peter's glare was filled with anger but concern. Peter sighs walking around their meeting table and sitting next to Sam, "Look, Sam, I'm not... mad... Well, I am but I'm more concerned, worried." Peter says looking at Sam his eyes filled with concern "What for webs? I'm just fine" Sam lets out a forced laugh, Peter didn't like that response and sighs.
"You're not fine. You could have gotten seriously hurt, well, more seriously hurt than you already did anyway. What made you... What made you want to go out on your own?" Peter asks biting his lip nervously "I figured it wasn't a big deal, and it's not, I'm fine I'm breathing aren't I?" Sam asks sarcastically, Peter looks at Sam with a glare "It is a big deal sam, you got hurt and put your life more at risk by not telling us. And if I don't get to use the 'still breathing' excuse then you aren't able to either. Your my teammate and my friend Sam, It is a big deal when my friend's life is on the line." Peter explains his face is more relaxed
"Look Spidey we put our lives on the line all the time, I don't get what the difference is," Sam says resting his head in his hands, If he had a nickel for how many times he and Peter have had this talk he would be richer than Tony Stark himself. Peter narrows his eyes, not in anger but annoyance "Look Sam, I'm tired of having to scold you and I know you are too-" Sam cuts Peter off "Then why keep doing it?" Sam asks looking bored, He could listen to Peter talk all day but these talks are just getting old.
"I keep doing it because you don't get it. You just don't understand the risks you take when you go off on your own. You don't understand that I'm responsible for you, all of you, I'm your leader, not just that I'm your friend. I'll admit I've gone off on my own and most of the time it ends with me almost dying a horrible death Sam. I don't want that for you..." Peter says the generosity in his eyes is unreal causing Sam to practically melt "Okay I get it whatever Web-Head no more going off on my own no prob" Sam says shrugging "No Sam, you don't get it. You have no idea how many times you've said that same thing to me or fury, It gets old Sam... I just need you to, ugh..." Peter sighs putting his head in his hands
"This makes it so much harder, Why did I have to fall for you?" Peter asks no one in particular "What?" Sam asks his face slowly getting hot, Peter jerks his head up to look at Sam in shock as he just barely noticed what he said "I-I mean... Well- what I wanted to..." Peter stutters trying to come up with an excuse but just ends up with nothing, so he did the one thing he could think of. Avoiding the whole thing.
"Look Sam just promise, and I mean promise me that you won't go fight alone, and if you do, tell someone so someone knows where you are. Can you promise me that?" Peter says lending his hand out for a confirmed handshake. Sam nods and takes Peter's hand but he doesn't shake it he pulls peter forward, pulling their faces closer. Their breath mixed both looking at the other's lips
"Did you mean it, You fell for me?" Sam asks nervously "Yeah, I did," Peter says trying his best to not slam his lips against the smaller males in front of him. He didn't have to resist it though because soon as he was gonna pull back Sam pulls him by the front of his Spidey suit into a passionate kiss Peter was surprised but kissed back as soon as his brain registered what was happening. They break the kiss looking into each other's longing eyes, "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that..." Sam says shyly "Yeah... me too" Peter laughs flustered. They stare at each other again awkward silents fills the room.
"Uh... Sam, now that I know you feel the same..." Peter says rubbing the back of his neck "Would you maybe-possible...I don't know... want to be my boyfriend- o-or go on a date if-if you're not ready for a relationship- or not-it's whatever you want- or you could-" Sam cuts Peters rambling by pecking him on the lips with a laugh "Yeah, how about we do the first 2 options" Sam smirks at the taller boys redness, knowing his face isn't any better.
Peter sighs in relief but smiles "Okay cool, but fair warning I will still lecture you boyfriend or not, just know that" Peter says standing up and putting his mask halfway on "Yeah, Yeah, I know," Sam smiles putting his helmet back on, Peter leans down and places a gentle kiss on Sam's lips before putting his mask on properly. He lends his hand out hoping Sam would grab it, He does interlocking their fingers smiling at Peter as he returns it, Their hearts pounding and a small nervousness in their stomach, it felt so right, and they wouldn't change that feeling for the world.
