Amity walked into Luz's room to help her train for grom tonight.
"if that bird-tube ever talks to me again, I'm going t-" Amity cut herself off as she saw Luz looking at her human device thingy with a frown.
it made Amity's heart sink at just seeing it.
Amity slowly walked up to Luz and asked gently "are you ok Luz?" Amity saw luz flinch and quickly put her device in her pocket.
"A-A-Amity!" Luz squicked out as she started to sweat.
Amity could tell Luz was hiding something and deciding to choose her words carefully.
"were you messaging someone just now?" Amity asked gently making Luz gulp.
Amity gently put her right hand on Luz's leg and said gently "you don't have to tell me right now but if you want to talk to someone, I'm here if you need me..."
Amity saw Luz's looked down the floor with a sigh.
"ok... ok..." Luz whispered slowly.
Luz slowly looked up to amity who smiled slightly.
Luz closed her eyes and said "I didn't tell my mom I'm in the demon realm and have been lying to her."
Amity's eyes widen in shock at what she just heard.
Luz, the girl she has a crush on is lying to her mom about the demon realm.
well... it did make sense since Luz is the first human in the demon realm and her mom would panic over all this.
"so... your greatest fear is..." Amity whispered gently to Luz who nodded slowly and whispered "yes... if my mom finds out then I might be grounded forever..."
It was reasonable, Amity thought as she smiled slightly and said gently "we can go and talk to your mom before grom if you want."
Luz's eyes widen in shock and horror as she asked frantically "tell my mom? are you nuts Amity? if my mom finds out then I will be grounded for life!"
Luz got up and walked out of the room in a hurry leaving Amity stunned and bewildered at what just happened.
did Luz just walk out on her?
'i just wanted to help you luz...' amity looked down to the ground as she started to feel tears coming down her face.
she just wanted to help Luz and find out why she was feeling guilty and now... "no..." Amity whispered to herself as she slowly got up from the ground.
she knows this was a hard topic to talk to Luz about but maybe it would be better to talk to Luz's mom about this herself.
Amity got up and walked out of the room.
Amity walked through the hallway and entered a room where Eda was getting ready for grom.
Amity took a deep breath and said "miss eda, can I borrow the portal to the human realm please."
Eda turned to her and asked with a raised eyebrow "why?"
Amity walked up to Eda saying "I just talked to Luz and found out she's been lying to her mom so I was hoping I could talk to luz's mom before grom."
Eda sighed and asked "are you sure about this kid? humans don't take well to new things."
Amity nodded slowly and said gently "I understand."
Eda pulled the portal briefcase from her gray busy hair and pressed the button on the key.
The portal briefcase turned into a door that opened revealing a bright light.
Amity made an illusion of human ears as she walked through the portal entering the human realm.
Amity walked out of the abandoned house to see grass and a road in front of her...
"where does Luz live..." Amity whispered to herself with her eyes widening in shock.
'oh, come on!' Amity thought as she started to walk forward and started to find the noceda residents.
Luz patched back and forth in front of Hooty and the blight twins who were watching her with confusion and worry.
Amity knows about her lying to her mom, what will Amity think of her now?
"uh... Luz..." Luz stopped as she slowly turned to Edric and Emira who were looking at her with confused and worried looks on their faces.
"are you ok Luz?" Emira asked worriedly.
Luz gulped and said frantically "nothing! it's nothing, I promise."
Emira and Edric looked like they didn't believe her but did not pry on it any further.
"ok well, let's get started with your training for grom." Edric said while he and emira drew spell circles making Luz's fears come to life.
Amity walked on the sidewalk as she was looking for Luz's human house.
Amity looked around the neighborhood until she looked to see a woman who looked like an older version of Luz's mom.
'that must be luz's mom.' Amity thought as she walked up to the woman.
"excuse me." Amity said walking up to the woman who turned to her with a confused look on her face but then turned into a warm smile.
"hello I'm Camila noceda." Camila said with a smile.
Amity smiled and said "I'm Amity Noceda..." Amity covered her mouth in embarrassment as her face flushed red but quickly said "Blight! I mean Blight, I'm Amity Blight."
Camila chuckled and said "well, it's nice to meet you amity but I'm going to guess you're Luz's friend she meet at summer camp."
Amity gulped and said "yup, I'm Luz's friend from summer camp."
Amity started chuckling slightly but then stopped and sighed saying "actually there's something I wanted to talk to you about."
Camila nodded slowly and said "ok, we can talk in the house if that's ok with you."
Amity nodded slowly and followed Camila into the small house.
when they entered the house it felt... like home.
more than blight manner ever was... Amity followed Camila into the kitchen and sat down on the table next to the fridge and the sink.
Camila sat in front of her with a smile on her face and asked "so, what did you want to talk to me about Amity?" Amity gulped as her face started to turn red.
"w-w-well... um..." Amity looked down feeling nervous about where to start.
Amity felt a hand on her left hand and slowly looked up to see Camila smiling warmly and said "it's ok Amity. just take this slow."
Amity felt herself calm down as she sighed slowly and said, "Luz isn't at this summer camp."
Camila blinked twice and asked "what?" well, no turning back now.
Amity gulped and continued slowly "she's in a place called the demon realm where she has friends there like me..."
Amity slowly looked away with her face a shade of red.
Camila looked shocked and bewildered at what she just heard.
Luz lied to her.

Camila saw Amity's face turning red and had a smirk on her face as she asked "you love my daughter, don't you Amity."
Amity quckly turned to Camila saying "i-i-i never said love. heh... where did that come from,"
Amity started laughing but Camila wasn't buying it and just had a grin on her face.
Amity gulped and whispered "yes..."
Camila chuckled and said "well, I approve of you dating my daughter but why did you come here to tell me this instead of Luz?"
Amity looked down saying, "I think it's because luz is afraid of hurting you. I don't know the full story but after you texted her, she seemed like she was afraid of something."
Camila nodded slowly understanding what Amity was saying.
Camila got up and walked to grab a picture from the counter and walk back up to amity who looked up at her confused.
Camila gave Amity the picture who grabbed it and looked at it.
Amity smiled at seeing a young version of Luz, then there was Camila and... a man Amity didn't know about.
"who is this?" amity asked looked up to Camila who looked sad and said "his name is manny. Luz's father but he passed away when luz was young."
Amity's eyes widen in realization as she asked slowly "so... Luz's father is..."
Camila nodded slowly and sat down in her seat saying "he had an illness we didn't know anything about. we even moved here to gravesfield so the doctors here could help him but..."
Camila looked down feeling tears in her eyes.
Amity looked down at the picture and whispered in sadness "Luz..." it all made sense now.
it wasn't just about lying to Camila.
it was about making sure Camila wasn't hurt or devastated again like losing Luz's father.
Amity didn't know what to say as she slowly put the picture on the table and turned to Camila who whipping the tears from her eyes.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you upset... I just wanted to help Luz..." Amity slowly stood up and slowly started to walk out of the kitchen.
"wait Amity," Amity stopped at the entrance of the kitchen as slowly turned to Camila who stood up from her seat and said "it's ok, you didn't do anything wrong but if it's ok with you. I want to see Luz."
Amity nodded slowly and said "of course." Amity turned and walked out of the kitchen with Camila following her.
Amity and Camila walked to the abandoned house with Amity messaging her sister Emira saying "tell eda to open the portal door, i'm ready to come back."
"ok baby s-, wait what!" Amity chuckled at seeing Emira's reply.
She was going to have fun explaining this to her siblings.
Amity looked up to see the door shining bright Amity turned to Camila asking gently "are you ready to see the demon realm?"
Camila looked nervous and asked "it's not dangerous, right?"
Amity smiled and said "no it's not. well, besides Hooty. other than him no it's not dangerous."
Amity turned forward and walked up to the door with Camila following right behind her asking "whose hooty?" Amity grabbed the doorknob and took a deep breath.
this was it, Luz's mom was going to see everything.
Amity slowly turned the doorknob and opened the door walking through the portal and entering the demon realm with Camila right behind her.
Amity and Camila walked through the portal to see they were in a gym as it was grom.
"huh... just in time for grom." Amity said looking bewildered.
"mittens!" amity felt her older sister and brother hugging her.
Amity sighed and hugged her siblings back saying "I'm fine, I'm fine."
They broke the hug with emira saying frantically "fine? you just said you were in the human realm where it is dangerous. you are not fine."
"Amity..." Camila whispered to Amity who sighed and said "Emira, Edric this is Camila noceda. Camila these are my siblings Edric and Rmira."
Emira and Edric looked to Camila who smiled warmly at them then at each other.
after a few seconds, they had wicked grins on their faces and turned to Camila who began to get worried while amity groaned in annoyance.
"so you're Luz's mom?" Edric asked with a smirk on his face. Camila nodded slowly.
"well isn't this great mittens, you get to meet your future mother-in-law early." Emira said with a grin while patting Amity's back making Amity's face turn a tomato face red.
Emira and Edric burst out laughing at seeing Amity's flushing face.
Camila couldn't help but chuckle at seeing Amity's flushing face.
Amity turned to her siblings saying "if you two don't shut up then I will end you two when we get home."
that only made her siblings laugh even louder and harder as Edric even fell to the ground saying "stop... I going to die from laughter..."
Emira was the first to calm down and said "alright... alright... we're done but why is she here in the first place mittens?"
Camila sighed and said, "I was hoping I could talk to luz, if she's here."
"Mom?" Camila, Amity, and her siblings turned to see Luz, Eda, and King running up to them.
Luz asked in worry "mom, what are you doing here?"
Amity gulped in fear as Luz turned to her asking in shock "what have you done Amity?"
"Luz." Luz turned to Camila who slowy walked up to her saying "Amity just wanted to help. Luz, i know you've been lying to me but..."
Camila turned to Amity who was looking down to the ground in shame then back to Luz who gulped looking scared.
"but i can tell how much you love this world."
Luz blinked twice in bewilderment and asked "what?"
Camila kneeled in front of luz saying "amity told me you have friends here, is that right?"
Luz nodded and said "yeah, Willow, Gus, and Amity they are my best friends."
Camila nodded in understanding and said "we still have a lot to talk about young lady but..."
She turned to Amity then back to Luz with a smile on her face saying "i think Amity has something she wants to ask you."
Amity's head shot up as Camila stood up from the ground and turned to Eda who said "i'm Eda the owl lady and i've been taking care of your daughter while she's staying here."
Luz walked up to amity asking "what did you want to ask me amity?" Amity gulped at seeing luz smiling at her.
"i-i..." Amity took a deep breath and slowly pulled the note out of her pocket and gave it to Luz who took it and unfolded it.
Luz unfolded the pink letter and her eyes widen in shock as it read "will you go to grom with me? luz."
Luz looked up to Amity who was blushing red.
Luz smiled and said "yes, I would love to go to grom with you Amity."
Amity looked up at luz with a smile on her face.
Luz put her right hand out to Amity who took it as they turned to the students in the gym who was dancing and walked up to the dance floor.
Luz turned to Amity who turned to her.
Luz blushed as she slowly put her hands on Amity's waist while Amity put her arms around Luz's neck as they started dancing together.
Camila, Eda, King, and the blight twins turned and watched Luz and amity dancing together making Camila smile and said "I'm proud of my daughter."
Eda nodded and said "yeah, Luz has come a long way in such a short amount of time."
Emira and Edric smirked as Edric whispered, "we're going to make fun of Amity after this right?"
"oh definitely." Emira said before she saw Viney walking up to her and asking "do you want to dance Emira?"
Emira blushed and nodded as she followed Viney to the dance floor.
Edric sighed and said "never mind then."
Luz and Amity looked into each other's eyes as if they were the only ones there.
Amity gulped as she whispered "your mom told me about your dad and what happened before he passed away..."
Luz slowly looked down as she could feel tears in her eyes and whispered "I'm sorry..."
"hey..." Amity whispered as Luz slowly looked up to her with tears in her eyes.
"it's ok... I'm not mad at you Luz and I understand..." Amity whispered as slowly leaned her head down on Luz's chest.
Luz smiled and whispered, "thank you amity... i..."
"I love you Luz..." Amity whispered cutting Luz off who blushed with her eyes widening in shock.
Amity's eyes widen as she slowly realized what she just said.
Amity looked up to Luz who was a blushing mess. "i-i mean as a friend. you know like a good f-"
Amity was cut off by Luz kissing her making Amity's eyes widen and her face a deep shade of red.
Camila smiled at this.
Eda smirked while king rolled his eyes.
Emira and Viney turned to see Luz and Amity kissing.
Emira smirked while Viney smiled at this.
Edric smirked as he watched Luz and Amity kissing.
Luz and Amity broke the kiss with Amity's face a bright shade of red and whispered "wow..."
Luz smiled and said "I love you too amity."
Amity smiled as she laid her head back on Luz's chest while luz gently laid her head on Amity's head as they continued to dance slowly not caring who was watching them.
this was the best night of amity's life.
