Frosta was NOT happy, she had half a mind to turn this into a diplomatic incident. She had finally managed to get Scorpia to agree to hang out with her, which had become a rarity now that she was in charge of a kingdom, and at the last minute she had to cancel because some idiot had misplaced a document and all of Scorpia's advisors were freaking out about it. Who would've thought the worst thing about the former Fright Zone was the fact that it was a bureaucratic nightmare. Now she was sitting in a cafeteria, eating alone because none of the former Horde citizens would sit with her, and wondering if this was how it was going to be from now on.
No one in the Alliance had time for her anymore, sometimes it was official princess business, but most of the time it was because they were all busy with their gross couple's activities. By the time the war ended almost EVERYBODY had gotten with someone, everybody except her, and as far as Frosta was concerned, she was the lucky one. Frosta may be considered a teenager now, she is 14 and ¾ after all, but there's no way she'd EVER waste her time on something as pointless as, ugh, love.
Suddenly, Frosta was broken out of her bitter train of thought when she heard the sound of someone chewing, and to her surprise that someone was sitting right across from her. Frosta looked at the spider-like girl and confusingly said, "Uh, hi?," to which she responded with a flat, "Hello" and then continued eating her food. "Can I help you?," she asked, "With what? I'm just eating,'' the girl replied in a monotone fashion. Now Frosta was starting to get a little annoyed, "Any reason you're doing it HERE? Everyone else is avoiding me like I have a disease or something. Why aren't you?"
"Following the masses is what the Horde's people have always done, and it led to our decline. I aim to be better than those who came before me," the girl said, confusing Frosta even more. Indifferent to Frosta's confusion, the girl continued, "Also, this is my favorite table, you're sitting where I carved my name," causing Frosta to look down at where she was pointing. "Sooo... your name's Spidra?" she asked, and Spidra replied, "If that's what i wrote, I guess it is," Frosta rolled her eyes at the dry reply. Now she was more intrigued than annoyed, so Frosta introduced herself, "I'm Princess Frosta, ruler of the Kingdom of Snows," she declared proudly. Unimpressed with Frosta's booming introduction, Spidra said, "Well, you already know my name, but I'll introduce myself anyway. I'm Spidra, former Horde cadet and current Skiff Courier."
"What's a Skiff Courier?" Frosta asked, suddenly in a better mood, Spidra shrugged and said, "I use a Skiff to deliver packages and messages, there's not much to tell." In spite of saying that, Frosta insisted Spidra tell her more, she wanted to try riding a Skiff but everyone told her she "wasn't trained" enough, and she could "hurt someone" if she wasn't careful, buzzkills. They talked for a while, and eventually Spidra told her about the training hall. Frosta asked, "Why does the Fright Zone still have a training hall, the war's over?" and Spidra replied, "Doesn't mean Etheria stopped being dangerous. Plus for a lot of us fighting is all we know, and not all of us are ready to give it up yet." Frosta was concerned for a moment, and then Spidra said, "I have a training session reserved today. Would you like to join me?" and all other thoughts raced out of her head as she yelled, "YES!"
It didn't take long for them to reach the training hall, Spidra clarified her reservation with a furry blue guy and then rented some simulation glasses and training gear for her and Frosta. "You see that screen up there," she said, pointing to a green scoreboard, "when you take out a target your ranking goes up, whoever gets the highest ranking before time runs out wins. Are you ready?" Summoning ice fists, Frosta replied, "You better believe it!" with a smirk of determination on her face. After moving to stand on a glowing shape on the floor, and motioning for Frosta to do the same thing, Spidra raised the spider legs on her back into an attack position and waited for the session to start.
