Chapter 4
Yae calls Ei her moon, very jokingly, and Ei always goes along with it calling her the sun of her moon. Offen Ei is full of light and emits a glimmer that no other has ever been able to. Sometimes Ei frightens her, blood-faced, empty-looking eyes, her mind always wondering in lands she has never been able to go. The unsaid words speak louder than every sentence they muttered to each other. And when Miko look at her again from her little corner she swears that she could catch a burning fire in Ei’s eyes — and perhaps the night sky was not so eager to lose their moon yet, because suddenly the ground swallow Ei whole, the flowers sighing and withering at Ei’s disappearing. She could slowly feel Ei’s presence leaving her.
This night she never stopped crying. She felt as if she was tumbling out of the sky.
