Chapter 1

There was only a small breeze found on the ocean’s surface as the boat slowly swayed back and forth due to the strong force of the small waves that were hitting it. Craig was one of the only people to be found standing on the dock that night as the rest of his crew mates were either sleeping or drinking until they blacked out. Craig sighs in boredom, looking out into the ocean’s view, seeing nothing but darkness with the occasional flying fish jumping out of the water, making a small splash when it went back under. Craig isn’t much of a talker, he isn’t very fond of many people who were on the ship with him as most of them, in his opinion were annoying as fuck or just stupid. There was a couple of people he liked, but even them could get annoying at times. It all depended on his mood.

His mind wandered as he looked out into the dark mass surrounding him, thinking about his life, crew mates, and captain. Right.. the captain, Eric Cartman. He was a total ass in Craig’s opinion, always had something stuck up his ass when it came to talking to literally anyone. Cartman was found usually yelling at the crew to do their shit, but was never and will never be found getting off his fatass to take care of ship duties when there’s a storm coming their way. The day that happens would be an actual miracle.

Most of Craig’s life was spent on a ship, making and losing crew mates along the way. It all started because of his dad. His dad used to own a small ship and took him out on it almost every day when he was growing up. Well that was before he mysteriously stopped, and all he told Craig was, and he quotes: “CRAIG, I’M QUITTING SAILIN’ SON. CAN’T NEVER GO BACK OUT TO THOSE OCEANS AGAIN.” He never understood what scared his father so much, he was possibly the bravest man he knew.. and whenever he tried to bring it up his father would panic and go into shock, as if he’s having some type of stupid flashback or something. It’s whatever though, it was many years ago, but Craig still earns to find out what startled his father so much.

So far, no progress though. And he’s been out at seas for how long? He’s slowly starting to lose hope. Craig isn't the type of guy to believe in mermaids or mythological creatures, but his dad didn't either, or so he thought until he went on a random rant one day about how they were creatures sent from the devil himself and that they were only here to kill the young sailors out at sea during nightfall. It's stupid, he knows that he shouldn't be expecting to miraculously see a colorful scaley tail emerge from out of the water one day, but he can't stop wondering what freaked his dad out so much, and that maybe it could have something to do with his hatred for those damned creatures.

Craig was broken away from the trailing thought when he heard the sound of metal soles hitting the hard wood floor behind him, turning his head to see Stan, one of his crew mates, who was obviously drunk as he emerged with a wobble in his step and a half drunk beer bottle in his hand.

“H-Hey Craig!~ My *hic* man!” He says with an uneven smile as his free arm slung around Craig, his other arm holding his beer up in the air as if it was some type of trophy. “What are y-you doing out *hic* here alll alone..?” He whined, “Come join u-us for a drink ya loner!”

Craig looked back at Stan, plugging his nose at the disgusting smell of his breath. “I’m good, thanks.” He says in a in an annoyed tone as he pushes Stan off him.

“Awh come o-on! Don’t be such *hic* a party pooper man!” Stan says as his hand snakes up to Craig’s hair, pushing head down to look over the ocean as he uses his fist to ruffle up his hair, then pouring the rest of his unfinished beer all over the top of his head, laughing at the sight.

“Stan you asshole! The fuck is wrong with you!?” He yells as he snags Stan’s hand off of his head, turning around and twisting his wrist, close to breaking it. “Fuck you dude, now I gotta wash my hair.” He says with an angry tone as he brings his knee up and knees Stan straight in the balls, watching Stan jump back in pain with a yelp.

Well, that’s one of his crew mates, Stan Marsh. Stan wasn’t all that much of a bad guy, at least when he isn’t drunk that is, and usually he is drunk, so it’s kind of a bummer. Stan is also pretty well known for dating the co-captain, Kyle Broflovski, but what can he say, Kyle was a well respected man around this place, way more respected than their fatass captian, Cartman. His crew mates and including himself listen to Kyle more than they will ever listen to Cartman's bullcrap. Kyle acts more of a better captain than Cartman will ever dream of. And before you say anything, they did try to vote Cartman off the ship, and even push him off too, but none of that worked. You see, Cartman's dad was the one who lead the building of this ship before he mysteriously disappeared or whatever, and now that he owns the ship he's technically the captain, but Craig couldn't give two shits about that. Kyle is the most likable person on this damned ship, at least in Craig's opinion. He poses a role so great that he’s almost like a brother to Craig. He and Kyle get along very well, and usually they talk shit about their other crew mates when they’re alone, Cartman include. He also is a big reason that this ship stays fucking intact, with Cartman doing absolute dog shit he is basically the boss around there. Kyle and Cartman do not get along at all because of that. Even if you’re the co-captain, fatass will still find a way to shit on ya. Stupid 'his dad lead the building of the ship' shit doesn't even make sense on why he should be captain in the first place.. But there was nothing he can do now at least.

Craig dozed off again, looking down at Stan who was now on his knees, keeping a hand over his balls. All Craig did though was walk away, not bothering to even help him, he could help himself anyway. Craig found himself heading back towards his room, well not exactly his room but the room which he shared with a couple other of his crew mates, because a man can’t seem to get one second of privacy on this damn ship. He opened the door, welcomed by the sound of cheering and yelling.

“Quiet down, will ya?” He murmurs as he rubs his head, the others in the room turning their heads as the room becomes silent. Some of his own crew mates were startled by Craig’s presence alone after he got in a fist fight with Cartman one random night. But Cartman never dared to fire Craig as even he can admit that he was one of the hardest and maybe even one of the most mature workers on the ship. Som3 others see him as an older brother figure in their helpless, depressing lives though.. It’s honestly 50/50.

Craig closes the door behind him, walking over to his bed and going limp the minute he falls on the uncomfortable, rock hard mattresses that they had since they couldn't seem to afford better ones, or moreover Cartman didn't care about the wellbeing of any of his workers.

“H-H-Hey Craig!” Jimmy stuttered as he waved at the black haired boy who was laying flat on the mattress, slowly lifting his hand to wave back. Jimmy was the only one of the crew who was physically disabled, but even still Cartman gives him the same amount of work as everyone else. He is totally capable of doing it though, as he has shown it himself, and surprisingly is pretty fast for someone who can’t use their legs and will use crutches for the rest of his life. Jimmy is the type of guy who is never found complaining about that typa shit though, instead he’s always cracking jokes or something to one of their other crew mates making almost everyone in the boat fond of him. He’s also another one of the only tolerable people on the boat, at least in Craig’s opinion that is. The other two scumbags Craig shared a room with were Tolkien Black and Clyde Donovan, also people he could tolerate, but he's not about to go on a whole 'nother thought train about them.

...

Craig was lost, deep in thought again as he suddenly was broken from that train of thought when he heard Kyle screaming from outside, next realizing the sound of heavy rain hitting the wooden deck of the ship. Guess there's another storm that Cartman didn't bother to get off of his fatass warn the crew about, and this isn't the first time this has happened too.. As expected of Cartman. Next he heard the sound of someone banging on their door, Craig and the rest of his bunk mates stood up and hurried outside to see pure chaos. Crew mates were running around, yelling at each other instead of actually working, other crew mates were screaming, slipping and falling, getting hurt left in right.. it's a normal sight when this happens.

The boat was aggressively rocking back and forth, the heavy wind and big waves making it almost tilt to it's side, causing Craig and his crew mates to almost slip every time it does.. The wet wood below them not being much of a helper as the bottoms of their shoes couldn't help but make them fall when the boat leaned to the side once again.

"GET THE FUCKING SAIL!" Yelled Kyle as he ran over to one side of the sail, beginning to pull it down by himself.

Craig saw Kyle struggling, running over to the other side of the sail, trying to help him pull it down as the ice cold raindrops fell down onto them, sounding like firecrackers as it hit the wood that lied beneath them. As the two men were hassling the sail to try to get it down as another huge wave hit the boat. Craig felt as if he was slipping, noticing that the boat was on an angle, close to falling on it's side. A hand reached up, gripping onto the pole of the sail, tying his best to hold on, fully aware that the railings behind him wouldn't catch him. Those railings couldn't catch shit, they were short and so thin that they couldn't even hold Cartman if he leaned on it. Whoever designed this boat was a dumbass. Craig looked up at Kyle, who was holding onto one of the railings, looking straight back at him with a panicked expression.

Craig winced in pain, his hand holding onto the pole so tight that he started to feel himself get splinters from it. He accepted his fate when his hand started to slip and his balance got increasingly worse. Craig then found himself falling into the dark mass that laid beneath him, hearing Kyle yell before he hit the water with a great impact. He tried to swim up but another wave came clashing over him, holding him under as the boat fell back onto it's bottom, making another wave giant along with the other ones that were drowning him. With of his energy gone, he decided to give up, accepting his fate once again as his eyes slowly started to shut, the oxygen running out of his lungs as the water around him felt like it was crushing his whole entire body, then feeling the water enter his throat before he fell unconscious.
